Simple Portable Tent 2.11

About This File

This little tent can be purchased from Jensine's Good As New Merchandise in the IC Market District for 100 septims. It has two usable bedrolls and is companion-friendly inside, though the space is quite limited.

To use your tent, drop your Tent Materials on the ground, and grab/drag it so the extra bit of fabric poking out is facing you. Then activate the Tent Materials (put your crosshair on it and press SPACEBAR or whatever key you've assigned, as though you were going to pick it up), and take a quick step back. Your tent will appear.

To pick up the Tent Materials without setting up the tent, or to take the tent down, activate while sneaking.

All of the containers in the tent are safe for storage except for the Wastebasket, which will warn you as such on first use.

I made this mod for me to make playtesting large quest mods a more enjoyable experience. Therefore, it may not be to everyone's taste, and it does not have support patches for other mods. It comes only as-is.

All meshes have been pyffi'd for best performance, all resources have unique file paths, and the plugin has been cleaned with TES4Edit for best compatibility.

What's New in Version 2.11

Released

  • v2.11: Fixed copypasta boo-boo in the anvil script that would prevent users without OBSE from repairing successfully.
  • v2.1: Added a spellbook to serve as a spellmaking & enchanting station. It is optional and toggle-able in-game. To access it, activate the pewter pot on top of the barrel while sneaking. You can activate the spellbook while sneaking to hide it, and the pot will come back in its place.
  • v2.1: When you activate the outside of the tent while sneaking, you now have the option of having a platform piece spawn under the tent. This will help with placement on ground that isn't quite even.
  • v2.1: Fixed a bug that caused the tent to spawn on top of the player when used for the very first time.
  • v2.1: Slightly reduced the wait time on the tent spawning.
  • v2.0: Adjusted the size & position of the healing herbs, as well as removed their visible name, to make them less obtrusive.
  • v2.0: Finally noticed that you couldn't, uh, open that cabinet... re-arranged a little.
  • v2.0: The stool that is not at the table can be toggled as sittable or not by activating while sneaking, in case you want to use it as a bedside table.
  • v2.0: Added the ability to activate the lamp sconce to brighten the light, for anyone who found the tent too dark. Like the herbs, you will not see a name when you have the lamp sconce in your crosshairs, but you can still activate it while standing in front of it.
  • Lowered the tent's spawn point position just a hair, so you're less likely have the corners of the tent poking into mid-air if the ground beneath isn't quite level.
  • v2.0: Now that we all have better computers, we're often getting stuck in the collision of the tent after we've put it up, so I gave us a few extra seconds to move out of its way. Note that this means it will take a few extra seconds for your tent to appear -- please do not report this as a bug, or worry that your game is lagging.
  • v2.0: Added an optional "Tidy Tent Retex" that makes the tent appear newer and cleaner. It is still plain canvas. Not fancy -- just, you know, tidy.
  • v2.0: Fixed the stoopid Northmarker. UGH. Now your compass should remain accurate while you are in the tent.
