Hi,

Nice beginning but, if you allow me giving a piece of advice, you should think that you are making a house where people actually live, allow some untidiness and disorder in it, avoid 90 and 45 degrees angles, furniture perfectly aligned with the walls, and so on.

Also, using mods to do the tutorials is not a good idea. ;)

Ah, don't worry. I don't actually plan on using this tutorial mod for anything. I'm just trying to get a grip on constructing a building in the CK. I'll probably be able to give this house a more lived-in feel in the following lessons (I think lesson #2 is on clutter).

...Then again, if this house belonged to someone as devoted to orderliness as I am, the furniture probably *would* be perfectly aligned with the walls at nice, even 90-degree angles. *imitates Death the Kid* SYMMETRYYYYYYYY!

Why should the people living there be "as devoted to orderliness" as you are? The other problem with that is that the place will look lifeless; disorder is life; order is death. :P

Well, this house's inhabitants don't have to be devoted to orderliness, of course. They could be total slobs. Maybe the two guys and an oxcart who moved all their furniture into their new house were the orderly ones and wanted to ensure all the furniture was lined up properly. And now the house's new owners will move in, rearrange all the carefully placed furniture to their chaotic hearts' content, and proceed to cover the floor in cabbages and cheese. We just don't know.

I didn't add clutter because I haven't been given the green light to go ahead to lesson #2, although I suppose I could go back and randomize the furniture a bit...

'Disorder is life; order is death', huh? Now the chemist in me wants to get into a detailed discussion of entropy and pull out all my notes from statistical mechanics. :D
