  1. thanks meo...31...damn!!

  2. Happy Birthday old buddy!

  3. Here's my band playing at some bar out in the middle of nowhere. We were pretty drunk if i remember correctly. We have better songs, but our singer was swearing and acting a little nuts so this one will have to do!!! .. btw I'm the bass player.
  4. Nope.. I'm plugged in and ready to go!!! I did constantly hit my head off of pipes though. That's always a basement musician's problem. It went through a lot. I ended up completely refinishing it...sanded it down and wood stained it. Then i put on a black pickguard...it was very 70's out,but I ended up selling it. Here's a pic I made of some music stuff I'm interested in buying....if i had thousands to spend on such things!!! I'm pretty proud of the carpet I made. It looks like a carpet, well at least to me it does. Also the baseboards of the wall looked pretty good, I was kinda sad to cover it up.I had to mess with the light and shadows the most...... not really my strong suit. I had a few perspective issues as well, but all in all I think it turned out alright for an early morning mess around.
  5. This is me ...AND something i'm interested in!!! ha i'm on topic!!!!
  6. Thanks for the tips Resolvethatchord , i'm having the most trouble with uv unwrapping. I'll definitely use these steps. Also thank you for the compliment's syscrusher, seems like we have similar tastes. The sword I modeled used the collision from the elven longsword. While I was working on the blade i noticed it was out of proportion , but I wasn't sure how to edit the size of the collision box. The sword i made should have been a short sword. It's been a while since I modded and it took me a while to get the sword in game.... sadly when i did, i noticed the pommel and handle were shimmering. I'm sure this is due to them being separate geometric shapes intersecting. I'm going to have to start making the pommel and handle one piece. I did use your advice on the blade though RTC. It's thick on one side and tapered down pretty sharp on the other. I guess it's hard to see any detail like that in these pics. As far as the swords look goes .... I always prefer realistic weapons. They can be ornate, but i'd like them to seem real. The texture of the blade I liked cause it looked worn in,but it's a bit much. There's a fine line between plain and over done. I crossed it a little. The handle is a green worn leather. Unfortunately it didn't look as good in game as it did in nifscope. It may be the normal map i'll have to mess with it. Back to the drawing board i suppose.
  7. Alright .... final cut!!!! Tell me what you think......
  8. Man Meo, I was just checking out your modder's resources and they look amazing!!! I'm jealous of your massive skills!!!!!

  9. Hey IS, I used your advice on the uv and the blade. Everything seemed to work out fine. I'll have to mess with it more to get where I want , but in the mean time I made a simple sword/texture to try it out. --- It's hard to notice cause I just used two textures, but a lot less stretching.
  10. I think you might have misunderstood a little..... - do I have to leave the seams for the end? it would be easier, for me at least, to do them as I finish a piece and put it in place. - I meant, will blender recognize that I made seams automatically....or do I have select some special "make uv with seams" option or some such thing. - is there another way to cut down on stretching?or is it all dependent on how I set up the uv. thanks for helping!!!
  11. Okay I have some uv questions..... -do you make seams while you're modeling? or do you have to wait till the end? -once the model is done and the seams are made , do they automatically setup by themselves? or do I have to do something to have blender recognize the them? -will this solve my stretching/model pieces in weird places issue?
  12. The "caps" of the sphere were in a different place than the rest. I used the wrong texture on them. Yeah it seems like uving is going to be the hardest part.....strangely enough. I knew I was going to run into some kind of wall!!!! Anyway here's a better pic.
  13. I started learning the other day on 2.5. I liked it better, since like you said ..a lot of tutorials etc,but again like you said it doesn't support necessary scripts. So i switched to the older version. Here's the sword I made this morning. The pommel is weird...I'll have to do something about that. I don't know why it looks like an eyeball...whatever!!!
  14. Are you talking about the old one or the new one(too bright, blade flat)? Anyway, I made the blade in the new sword thinner at the edges and somewhat of a reverse blood groove in the middle. I know how to do the things you mentioned pretty much....so far i have been trying to focus on basic shapes. I havn't gotten into more complicated materials. I'll have to try to work with the seams. I really couldn't get it to work right before, but it looks better the way you did it,so back to the drawing board!!! Edit: How do you set the calculations to conformal?
  15. Sure can!!!! I just made another one an as soon a I texture it you can try it out for me!!!! Here's a pic of the model----
