  1. Hi everyone. I've been so deep into Skyrim since it came out last year that I put Oblivion and its mods on the back-burner, but now that I've sort of come up for air (lol) I remembered that in the last year or two (maybe more?) there was a huge Dark Brotherhood mod in development. I can't remember the name of it and I don't have the link to the site anymore either, but I am really curious now to see if it was ever finished, so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, I'd love to have some information! Tracy, who LOVES Skyrim BUT liked Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood better
  2. Hi everyone. I'm replaying Skyrim again and this time I thought it would be a fun ego-boost to wander around the map and just see how many guys I could find who were interested in marriage. Well, then I finally went to the Temple and had a wedding with the last one (my housecarl) and although the ceremony went fine, right afterwards, the only dialog he had was the "thane" stuff, no marriage dialog at all. I tried going back to an earlier save and then going through the ceremony with another guy just to see what would happen, and the same thing happened again. So, I'm wondering if my flirting around and having a bunch of different guys ask me to marry them and then my agreeing, might've messed up the quest? Or....another idea I'm pondering is that I tend to use the console ALOT.....I love to just click enemies and type in "kill" for the fun of it, but I noticed tonight that some of my clothing is messed up, like instead of a dress being green and white for example, it's a boxy-looking, light purple color instead. I think my console-playing has messed some things up in my game and I'm curious if my marriage quest could be part of that? One final thing that I wanted to toss in so you iknow all of the stuff I've actually done before finding this error----I had found a mod that allowed you to marry as many people as you wanted, and installed it. Well, for some reason I couldn't get it to work so I uninstalled it, including the meshes, textures and scripts that I could find that were related to that mod. But now I wonder if part of that mod is lurking on my PC causing problems despite my attempt to delete everything. WHEW! Okay, I know, way too much information (lol) but I thought I'd get that all out before asking for help to save all of us some time. If anyone knows what could be causing my error I would SO love your help. And if you think that one of the things that I did might've caused it and you know how I might be able to fix it, I'd be eternally grateful. (Mostly because one of the girls over on Skyrim Nexus made a great housecarl mod and the guy she put in Honeyside is just delish!) Thanks so much everyone, Tracy
  3. Hi there. Well, I did talk to the Archmage but now I wonder if I might've chosen the wrong response to his questions because after I spoke with him and went to talk to Umag, the only options with him are for buying books, asking about the library, and the Radiant quests where you get Shalidor's Writings. (which are separate from the regular College quests) Maybe I can go back to an earlier save from when I just returned from Saarthal and then talk to the Archmage again. Hopefully if I make a different choice it'll start the other quest for me. Thanks for your help, Tracy
  4. Hi everyone. I've been trying on and off for a couple of weeks to do the College of Winterhold quests (I'm replaying Skyrim for my third time) and for some reason when I get back from Saarthal, nothing more happens. I know that I'm supposed to go to Fellglow Keep and get some books for Urag, but that topic never comes up in conversation. I did check the Wiki and got the console codes to get things moving, but oddly enough, nothing happened at all with the quest. I'm not sure what's going on but if you guys know what I can do to play further through the quest, I'd really appreciate it! PS I do have Dawnguard installed and am a vampire right now. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem, but I thought I'd mention it. Thanks so much, Tracy
  5. thanks SO much you guys! So glad to have found the site. Tracy
  6. Hi everyone. I never did learn how to use the Construction Kit with Oblivion, and now that I've been playing Skyrim, I realize that I want very much to learn how to use the Creation Kit so that I can finally make mods of my own. I'm wondering if the Creation Kit is harder to learn than the old Construction Kit and also where I can find a really good, step-by-step tutorial on how to create mods? Thanks for your helpl! Tracy
  7. Thanks Lilith. sigh. I was afraid of that. I have over 4.000 saves now and I have a feeling that the first time I did this quest was back when I only had about a 1,000 or so saves. Yikes!
  8. Hi everyone. I've been wandering around Skyrim tonight and decided that I want to redo the whole Taste of Death quest in Markarth. The only problem is I've done it and so have no idea if it's possible to do it again. I tried entering all of the quest stages into the console, but I think since some of the characters are....well....no longer available.....it's not working. I'd appreciate any help you can give me---thanks! Tracy

    Red Rose Manor

Wow, this is just beautiful! I love all of the flowers climbing up and down the walls and the interior just knocks me out. Wonderful job, Emma---I loved all of your other houses but this one is the best for sure!
  10. Thanks for your help you guys. I appreciate all of your info El Paredon and I will check around the Broom Closet to see about that sword you mentione, William. I'll let ya know if I succeed in killing this thing, btw---wish me luck! Tracy
  11. LOL Oh I am familiar w/ them William and I LOVE them! You wouldn't perhaps share your modded sword with me would you? Tracy, crossing fingers, and btw, loving the Broom Closet!
  12. Hey everyone. I'm back for more help. I've been playing Morrowind w/ Tribunal obsessively and now I'm at the part where Almalexia send you to kill Sotha Sil. I'm in his Clockwork City and trying to kill an Imperfect, but nothing's really working. Has anyone killed this guy and can you tell me how you did it? Thanks!! Tracy
  13. Ah! Thanks so much you guys. Now I know what Feather means, finally! And now, off to look for that house you mentioned, Donnato! Tracy
  14. Hey Donnato. I'm glad you mentioned that because even after playing Oblivion umpteen-million times and now digging into Morrowind, I still don't know what "feather" actually does. Does it help you carry your items or maybe make them lighter? Just have been wondering about that for ages and never looked into it. Thanks! PS One more since I have you-----do you or any of the other guys know if there are any Mournhold house mods? I've already killed some people as I follow some of the quests, so there are some empty houses, but it might be fun to have one of my very own. Thanks! Tracy
