  1. Hi Rider, i will do something to help tomorrow. just need to figure out your system here.
  2. I am glad to see this effort was made I hope to see our Tavern Tales Mod for Oblivion worked on some more. There are things I want to add to it, we all did so much for it and it is very close to being a full story. I hope also to create some adventures and quests for it with spoken dialogue .... but this effort was fun to see. Frankly I like the game engine for Oblivion much better than Skyrim which always feels stark and dark to me. But that is just a matter of taste. I will go looking for the Morrowind version. There are some marvelous mods for Morrowind that really revitalize and upgrade the environment and world wonderfully.
  3. great timing thanks a lot Arion for the heads up! Chris
  4. ah ok here is a place i can ask this. Arion or anyone.. how moddable is Elder Scrolls Online? Is there an editor for the game or do people have to create content in some format and then export or create a package that can be compatible with the online game? I have not heard of many MMOs online that allow mods..but if it is that is good to hear. I know one of the main reasons MMOS are made is to have an ongoing cash flow...so i am a bit leery of them these days as the subscription scam has hit hard in the digital community with many big companies like Microsoft and Adobe now trying to milk people for annual fees for major software like Photo shop, and MS Office. I hope it is shot down eventually but for now it is the craze. If Elder Scrolls Online does allow mods that is a hopeful sign. It may just be a way to share crafted items but would like to hear about it. Chris
  5. I was a little afraid that some of the great Mods had been lost with the new format but i see they are edited by type and I have just started going thru what is there for both Oblvion and Skyrim both of which i have made mods for or been part of community projects making mods for and I do hope that the best are still here. There is a danger as time passes and people leave or pass on, we lose some of the best content and the wonderful thing about Beth's games was that they were made for the player to expand and enjoy expanding. The editors are superb and offer great creative chances and opportunities. I hope to find happy and hoped for content still here. Chris
  6. thanks Arion and thanks Ashenfire...look forward to chatting. Cris
  7. Arion great to hear from you....!!!! ok i will give ESO another try on your advice. I value it highly. will take a while to download and get back in the groove with it. Ashenfire i will add some of my ES files here and then share pics and info on other work. I do modelling for a number of sims and create digital assets for a number of formats as well as work with some Japanese game companies now, and do anime work as well. has been an interesting time...all of it grew out of my early interest in virtual worlds, esp Morrowind, and Oblivion which showed me what could be done. I owe a great debt to Riider for the classes here which were part of my early training in modelling and making digital assets and scenery. He is a great teacher and it helped me a lot. I am still amazed at what wonderful results can be achieved with the Oblivion game engine and also to a lesser degree Skyrim....and the great editors included. Bethesda was very wise to include those. here are a few pics of some of the work i have doing... first are from the Sutch City and Tavern Add on to Oblvion that Arion and I helped complete started by Grond and a bunch of everyone here, the second set is a player home for Skyrim I made called Skyhold Lodge a fishing lodge, the others are a few from some of the simes i model for and there is a link to all of my work here: https://www.behance.net/ChristopherGerlach
  8. thanks Lady good to see you.
  9. yep my tech helped me by bypassing the silly tile system and gave me the same old desk top I had before and the rest of things are back to what I like. it runs everything like a dream and the 1080 Nvdia card is a joy for graphics. I have gotten into a lot of digital modelling and some complex models and large projects so it helps a lot for them. Glad it worked for you too.
  10. Hello Rider, Grond, and all, sorry to have been away again for a considerable time, i still play Oblvvion and Skyrim happily, i tried Elder Scrolls Online and made it for a while but it is a far differrent experience than the earlier games and than I had hoped as it looks so much more like every other MMO but i may try again i have a Steam membership so i guess i can take another look... I hope everyone I knew from before is still here and doing well. I have continued with mod making and modelling in 3D and have some 2500 models made of a number of types in a number of sims and formats, it has been a lot of fun and i am working on figures now, which I put off for a long time. I hope to see what everyone has been doing here and hi to Arion hope you are doing well too!!!!! Chris i will post pics of some of my work in the image section once i find it and get used to the new format website looks very nice.
  11. I had to give up or sideline my old AMD system too and moved mostly onto a Alieneware Windows 10 set up with a big screen it has been finally possible to run Skyrim with all of the bells and whistles and 10 turned out to be not as bad as i feared. Glad your nifty new system is working well for you.
