  1. Welcome to the course! Looks like you’re off to a great start! You’re ready to head to Lesson #2 Please resist the urge to add things as other students may use your screenshots to help them along and if it deviates from the lessons it can be confusing. You can always add on later! Well done overall
  2. That would violate the authors posted permissions, Waalx does not wish for WAC to be carved up by other modders.

  9. Welcome This is not a team site, it’s open to all modders and players. We have reduced the number of mod categories we host but you’re welcome to upload files as long as they don’t violate site rules
  10. Still needing some coins for TESA so if your feeling the holiday spirit she could use some love!
  11. Welcome to the Alliance
  12. Hi There, The tutorials here start with building a house and cover a lot of the building blocks you will need to build a city like creating cells, laying nav mesh, lighting, placing objects, etc. From my experience, learning the basics of modding first will help you avoid making large scale mistakes later in your city, so definitely a good place to start. That said, once you can build one functional house you will be able to build more to make villages or even cities so modding many buildings isn’t that difficult; it’s a lot of repeating basic skills. There are limits to how big you could make a city, obviously you’re going to have to be mindful of what’s already in game and where you could plant a large city among what’s there. The developers would likely create a new world space for such a city and force players to take a boat or portal to reach it to avoid competing with the existing game space. That’s certainly a technique I recommend if you want a really LARGE city. The hard limits are difficult to precisely nail down. The more you add to the scene for the engine to render at once the more it will impact performance. If you have a powerful rig you might not notice but if your rig is more modest it might struggle to load a full city. One way to combat this would be to break your city into several cells with load doors between districts to reduce the load to sections. Sounds like an ambitious mod, which is awesome, I would just recommend getting the basics down first to save you some headaches. Happy Modding!
  13. Thanks Cris, if the donation bar doesn’t cooperate, PM me, I can help.
  14. Hail Allies! it’s that time again! TESA needs some modules updated and some themes updated so we need to raise at least $100! If you can chip in please use the donation bar on the index. Or consider upgrading your account to a paid membership, PM me if you’d like to purchase a membership and I can help you with that!! Hope you’re all busy modding and getting ready for the holiday season! Cheers!
  15. Hi Kitana, Really good effort, not quite correct. The navmesh for the stairs can’t be a separate mesh, top to bottom should all be one piece where the yellow edges never cross walkable space as it creates issues for pathing NPCs. You’ll want to delete the triangles that are right at the stairs start but are under the legs of the ladder, then attached new nodes to lead up the stairs. Give it a go, I bet you’ll sort it quickly
  16. It’s difficult to tell from the angles provided but it appears the stairs are not navmeshed, is that correct?
  17. We’ll cover lighting in Lesson 4 for now its best to set it exactly as outlined in Lesson 1 so that when you get to lighting, your cell matches the examples ahead. The light is (in this lesson) overlit by design to show you later how to adjust lights. Welcome
  18. Welcome to the course! Looks like you’re off to a great start! You’re ready to head to Lesson #2 Well done!
  19. Very nice, welcome to the course, you can head to the next lesson
  20. Looking good Punk, you can carry on!
  21. Nicely done Punk! It appears the navmesh is clipping a bit at the bottom of the ladder and NPCs could become stuck. Pull that one node out a bit more for a cleaner turn, then you’re ready for Lesson #3 and the Credit Challenges
  22. Hi Punk, I don’t think the CK can run on Xbox One only the mods themselves as far as I know. You’re off to a great start, you can head to lesson #2 when ready!
