  1. Thanks. Yes, on the PC, and yes, with mods. This is my load order. I'll note that the glitch started before I acquired and installed martigen's monster mod.
  2. The problemI can't equip any rings at all, much less the 2 at a time you're supposed to get. DetailsIt doesn't matter if the ring is an enchanted one from loot, is an enchanted quest reward, or just a regular old brass ring. In the equipment menu I can click a ring and have it highlight to show that it's equipped. If I click a second ring while still in the menu, it unequips the first. If I don't click a second ring and just close the menu, then the unequipping sound plays and bringing up the menu again confirms that the ring is no longer equipped. If it's an enchanted ring, the enchantment stays on my character even though the ring is not equipped. However, equipping another enchanted ring will remove the previous enchantment's effect and then add its own effect before/when it auto-removes itself. These effects also do not survive loading a save. If I save while the effect but not the item is on me, then loading that save no longer shows the effect. However, the glitch must be getting maintained in the save files somehow. What I've done so farI haven't sequentially gone through disabling and re-enabling the mods I'm using because that seems like a pain and the mods don't seem like they should cause the problem. However, some of my testing also suggests that the mods are not the issue. The reason I believe it's probably not the mods is that I believe I was able to equip rings normally in the beginning of the game. I downloaded a clean save game from TES Alliance and tried it with my current mod set-up and I was able to equip rings just fine. Googling lead to a glitch that supposedly only occurs with enchanted quest items. I tried the console command solution suggested for that bug, but it didn't work. Nothing else has come up. I looked over the console commands, and nothing seemed to directly address equipment slots, so I tried some other things. I tried dispelling all effects, which didn't work. I tried dropping some enchanted and unenchanted rings, removing all items from my character, then picking up the rings. I still couldn't equip them and there was no change in the glitch behavior. I also tried removing my entire inventory and then adding some rings into inventory with the console, but that didn't change anythings either. I don't have any saves of this character without the glitch. Update: By accident I found out that some of my clothing/armor might be involved in causing the problem. I put on Robes of the Apprentice and was suddenly able to equip 1 ring. If I'm naked I can't equip the ring. If I put on chain mail greaves then the ring gets booted. If I put on my Kvatch cuirass then the ring gets booted. Other parts of my clothing seem to have no effect. An enchanted helm and a pair of enchanted boots can be worn without affecting the rings. I'm just hoping that someone might have some ideas about how to approach this or could lead me to the tools to address it, since I'm not familiar with the more advanced modding tools or any other "more advanced" tools.
