Ahh. Yeah something small and nice like those are just what I been trying to sort out how to make myself with what the game gives me. Only other closet like that I know of is DarkFox's and his is pretty freaking huge and has no doors.

Hey is that clothing closet a resource? Or some creative joining of objects? It looks amazing.
  3. The rocks I'm using are the ones from blackreach, they have this extra mesh layer for a texture effect that gives them a nice edge glow. Just look at BlackreachCrystalL01 that I used as a base for my new ore chunk. I did try to mimic the effect on a normal ore bit but it didn't look anywhere close to how that does. Yes it can be painful. I think I understood what you said but trying it myself didn't change much (yes I told it to apply changes) took a look at what you did vs what I did just makes me lost. There needs to be proper nifskope tutorials that don't just open a bit of armor and tell you that's it. Yes I have seen enough 20+ minute tutorials that just had a dude blabbering then showing how to download and install and then open a armor bit and calls it a day... in a tutorial titles 'basic editing'. Apparently opening a file is seen as basic editing Thanks for the help. One of these days I'll get the hang of this stuff!
  4. I thought the collision shrunk when I shrunk the whole model down? I can't use a normal ore chunk as the rocks on this use two layers for the mesh to apply a 2nd texture over top the first to give it that glowy effect. Normal ore don't and just makes a dull pale almost solid blue mess. (yes this was the first option I tried) Darn it there is always something in my way. Now I have to hunt for a tutorial on this sense that link only says "Create your collision mesh in 3D software with possibility of exporting to nif file" yay.. another thing that tells you to do something but neglects to tell you how to do it. Yes I do have 3dsmax 2010 but I only know basic modeling, and I do most of that now in zbrush.
  5. So um... not sure if this is the place to ask about NifSkope stuff but um... I have an issue. I'm trying to make a new ore type made from the glowing blue rocks found in Blackreach. But sense all the rocks of it are static retextures of normal rocks, they lacked a bottom... so.. I joined two together in NifSkope, shrunk it down big time, and tried to give it the same weights and such as a normal ore chunk. Welp.. my new rock ended up being lighter than air and floating about, or it stops at the ground when it falls but then just skids slowly across the floor slowly through walls. I... don't know what I did wrong. Anyone here know a thing or two about NifSkope and making proper items that havoc? Think the only real thing I need is the weights so it properly havocs and not feel so floaty. oreAetherium_havoc01.nif
  6. I had this issue myself with one cell I wade long ago. I found out that it was due to my editing my characters height to be taller than the normal model thanks to.. whatever that mod is that gives you all them extra character options and edits. (brain durp) Once I tried it on a character that wasn't so tall it worked just fine. One thing I could recommend is turning on god mode and no clip before you coc into the cell, with no clip you can fly so there is no falling through the ground. You can coc into the cell and remain in place and fly around. What could be happening is your feet are clipped though the ground and sense thats not standing on solid ground you're falling though while it's loading. What I recommend really though is making a new fresh character, default everything, use a preset or what not, and set that up as your mod testing character that you can keep god mode and no clip on to move around and coc into cells to test. Make this character to start with with no mods installed. Though using alternate start-live another life to by pass the normal intro is fine. I personally start my main save inside it before picking anything so when I test stuff I can pick a start that's closer to where the mod is then fly on over. Also give them a torch to explore cells that haven't had lighting on. I do that to check for holes in walls as they stick out like a sore thumb with no lights showing.
  7. So making armor racks, plaques. and mannequins, and even bookshelves has become a bane. For starts most tutorials I find on YouTube are 20+ minutes long, and consist of mostly nonsense babble and chatter. Makes me want to smack them upside the head to get to the point as it can't take that long to make a freaking weapon stand. Yes I learned how to make my first weapon rack by sitting through an agonizing 26 minute long tutorial when all they had to show was place rack, place trigger, link both together, add keyword to both, done. So here is my issue. I still haven't found how to make mannequins work, nor bookshelvs, I followed a few tutorials but so far they all led to nothing working, so I assume there skipping over a vital step. So I'd like to ask if someone could make a quick, simple and most importantly to the point tutorial on making such, and for good measure, on making the rest of the thing's on the list as well for easy reading and referencing without watching 20+ minute videos to locate a tidbit one may have forgotten. (like forgetting you need a keyword added then not recalling what keyword it was) That asked, I do also have a question on these things. If I make for example a weapon rack, have it linked right and tested to work in game. Can I just copy and duplicate the rack+trigger to make more, or do I have to manually link every single one I intend to make? (Same goes for everything else) Plus, how do I set something to already be in the rack, armor on a mannequin, or books on a shelf. Not found a single tutorial showing that. Any help would be most welcome.
  8. Yeah I would have given it a shot but outside the stuff found in the basic lessens for modding I don't know squat. I could do a nice cave layout (think it's the only kit I really know how to work, plus it gives the most freedom) and clutter it up... but that be it. :/
  9. I always wanted more lantern/lamp types in game, as well as single drawer drawers for containers, mostly with out legs or top bits so they can be stacked.
  10. Noble Cabinet With Shelving/Storage Take a NobleShelf02 and place a RifRmSmSecretCabinetDoor01 in front of it but leave the door part sticking out. Make a new instance of the door to change the name when hovered over in game. Inside a NobleCupboard01 can be scaled to 0.8500 to fit nicely onto one or as many of the shelves as you desire. Common Bunk Bed http://i.imgur.com/AWSLN8G.png This can work with any kind of bed/post/stair. But here is how it is done as shown: Two CommonBed (left or right depending on what side you'll be getting in) 4 SignRTPost01 for the four posts pushed inside the beds own corner posts, their default size is ideal for the height of the bunks. RifRmSmSecondFloorStair01 at 0.5200 scale makes up the stairway, rest it against the top bunk at foot or head of bed.
  11. Alright, round two. What makes the CK crash so much? There are times when it runs smooth but more often than not the slightest touch makes it go poof. It makes working on anything take much longer than it should. Remaking the inside of this it felt like every time I turned the camera or placed something down it trigger a crash. Top view top view with lights front porch horse area and chopping block wall and well
  12. Just hate redoing things. Nothing really said solid that it -had- to be that, it sounded more like a means to show how to locate a cell to use 'this is where I'll be showing it". But whatever. With how much the CK crashes it's just annoying, and restarting again from the start to remake this is just ugh. Least it let me place in the walls this time and SAVE before having a fit.
  13. Wow really? I didn't think it be so strict on placement. I mean this cell had the same issues shown in the lessen with stuff to move out of the way and land to shift, even a large tree stump. Never seen someone go 'no credit cause another lessen is taught here'. So much for creative freedom. I hate remaking thing's, they never come out as good as the first go. This was looking so nice too.
  14. -snip, useless- Question: Is there any way to scale markers? I ask as I have a hidden cave I'm working on along side this for my thief but the marker sticks out so far the marker triggers before you find the cave. Looking at the world space's I seen markers that look to be huge to cover a large area, or small for little nooks. But I can't seem to be able to do the same.
  15. That worked! WOOHOO! The only thing I'm not to keen on is the huge gap at the bottom of the page.
  16. (Sorry if this isn't the place for this, didn't really see anywhere else it fit) Decorating Ideas: Using items not as intended. So one of the big thing's about Modding Skyrim; rather you're working on a player home, or the next big dungeon; is decorating the place up, filling it with furniture and clutter. But what if you have an idea for something but the game don't have such an item? You could look through resource packs, but what about using what the game gives you to create something by mixing and mashing objects in a way they were not intended? I thought it be nice to put together some object ideas that Modders could take inspiration from, rather they don't know how/don't want to use outside resources, just want to make something different, or just get a good idea to fill a dull space. So how about we all get together and share some of our fun Item combo's and creations? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A fun Kitchen Counter + Storage: http://i.imgur.com/zep3fRq.png The table it's self is made up of 2 CommonCounter01 stacked on top of one another, with the bottom one turned backwards to form a solid base as well as pushed up into the top one to control the height of the shelf for the rest of the stuff to scale and fit into. The drawers on the left are made of a EndTable01 scaled down to fit on the end.The door beside it is a RTNarketStallDoor01 scaled to fit, that makes for a nice sliding door.On top of the counter, I have another EndTable01 scaled down to about half size and pushed down so only the top drawer shows. The shelf is a CommonBench01STATIC scaled down to fit the thickness of the End tables top with one end sunk into it.
  17. I did try it with no space between the pagebreak, All it did was show the pagebreak tag, and some how force the same page to display on every page. It's now only showing page 1 on every page I am finding this odd as I did look at the other books that use images for pages and used them for guides. Funny my page image is smaller than what they use, shoot I made it 10 pixels taller than before to fill the page. Much bigger and it gets cut off. Attached is the first page shown and used, (there's more but I'm not gona send over the whole book) and I'm using the JournalLowPoly01.nif (obj DB07Journal for base) as it's the only one that looks to be a old 'torn up' book. I dunno if that would have anything to do with it or not. Maybe someone else can play with it and try and come up with a fix as nothing thus far has been working.
  18. BR in html is the same thing as hitting enter on your keyboard. Yep.. that there is all it does. Pagebreak tells the game that no more is to be on that page, and to go to the next. So far nothing has worked. I even tried taking out the page break all together but sense I don't have the exact height for each page they seem to skooch a little further and further onto other pages as it goes. The closest I gotten has the first page fine, but every other page nudged down lower so the bottom of the page gets cut off. I'm starting to think going for images for the pages was a mistake.. but how else will I include smudged text, glyphs, runes, The books there to kind of tell the story of two mages who snuck their way into Skyrim and though trickery got into the collage of winterhold in hopes that the knowledge there will aid them in some shady research, and then gaining access to this tower player home. It won’t be a novel as most the pages are 'ripped out' but it'll be something optional for the immersed to enjoy. If I can just get the pages to behave. I even extracted the game texture files to look for the size of the books page and from what I seen I'm pretty spot on but not perfect.
  19. You know cabnet drawers? I would love to have objects with just single ones. So far I've been trying to mimic this by stuffing the half I don't want into something else, but that just isn't always doable. I would love for someone to create single drawer containers. Like that pretty much. (gogo photoshop skills) Or something like http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30600/? only.. have it just the single drawer, that could be stacked and have everything it's own container, but also have it in the diff styles, and have moving drawers.. (kinda what I was hooing that mod was but it's just one solid static )
  20. Hey another question about containers. If I wanted more than one of these for storage, can I just dupe it in the cell to make another, or do I -have- to make a new object and place it? I don't know if duping it in the cell will make all copies of them have the same inv, or if it'll keep the inv split between em.. or if I have to make new objects of them to keep it split.
  21. I gave that a try, but all the extra space did was make the pages only show on the left page leaving the right blank. <img src='img://textures/EtherflowTower/kj001.png' height='450' width='300'> [pagebreak] <img src='img://textures/EtherflowTower/kj002.png' height='450' width='300'> [pagebreak] <img src='img://textures/EtherflowTower/kj003.png' height='450' width='300'>
  22. Hello, so I am having a large issue with a small tidbit to a player house I've been trying to do. It's A Journal that I am adding just to give a little story to the place and hint at something darker going on there. The issue is I'm having some trouble with the formatting. See, to allow for some elements I am making each of the book's pages as images vs just using the normal html and text stuff. This so I can add marks to the pages, blotted out words and some sketch's. The issue is I am having trouble getting each page to be on each page. I know [pagebreak] will split the pages. However it's not doing that for me. This here is the text for the book <img src='img://textures/EtherflowTower/kj001.png' height='450' width='300'> [pagebreak] <img src='img://textures/EtherflowTower/kj001.png' height='450' width='300'> [pagebreak] <img src='img://textures/EtherflowTower/kj001.png' height='450' width='300'> [pagebreak](same page for place holders+ testing) However in game http://i.imgur.com/hG6JkbF.jpg I get that. Each page image is indeed 450x300px in size (that was a rough size guess for the pages, it seems to fit in just fine). I dunno if I -need- the size in the html but everything I find says yes so... But right now I can't get the pages to 'break' properly. I even copied the [pagebreak] from another book to check if the formatting was wrong and got the same issue. I also know it's not working at all, as if I add in even more pages (I did a total of 12) the tops/bottoms clip into one another due to the pagebreak text. How do I fix this? http://i.imgur.com/srMP5QC.png
  23. Alright everything again is loaded: Screenies for this are marked lessen 2. Clutter is my weak spot, never really know how to fill a place. I do have a question on nav meshing. Is it better to do big marks, or small? I've had mixed answered from other tutorials. Some saying bo as big as you want, like filling an empty room with just two triangles. Others say always go small no matter what. Does it matter much? I mean if you have a large flat area, can it be big? I'd think small would be ideal if its an uneven landscape.
  24. This makes me really wish the level design lessens were up. I want to give this a try but fear I'd only be able to do a winding cave. Lack the know how to add traps or puzzles or even enemies that don't just stand there like they lost a few too many brain cells ^^;
  25. Lessen 2 Navmesh back
