  1. Hello Freedom Fighter. Thanks for ... err, I mean here's a
  2. Hello bozance and have a If you're feeling bad about only having 40 years I have some I could spare (I'm thinking I might not miss a few if you want them, perhaps more if you insist).
  3. After completing the quest and buying the upgrades the only use I make of the place is to purchase enchanted arrows from Melliwin and use the training chest for a bit while I'm there (at least until I finally get security to 100). I would love to see some continuation from the initial quest beyond the merchants and 'sending you crew out to plunder'. The least Bethesda could have done is let me tag along.
  4. Thanks for the tip Hey. One further question ... should I finish all my planned editing before that (i.e. if I make any more edits after I've done that will I need to redo the clean save method)?
  5. That's what has me scratching my head. All I've touched in the interior outside of adding NPCs and a few mannequin bases is a half dozen rugs that were only slightly floating (but that was causing the margins of the rugs to flicker) and some chairs and one or two weapon racks that were also only slightly floating. The exterior is the only place I've moved actual building pieces. I don't recall the exact amount, but it's about 1/3 the height of one of the Ayleid entrance doors (the old door location is still persistent in my save game and I haven't got around to replacing it with another yet). All the first pass interior edits were minor in scale. Now I have one rug at knee level, two dressers at mid calf and some weapon racks at ankle level.
  6. I've been personalizing Anakondrak's Aranmathi Ayleid Home version 1.04, mostly adding NPCs and a few more mannequin bases in the interior cells. One problem with ver 1.04 is the entrance is slightly below water level (corrected in Miltiades' ver 1.05, but I was too far along by the time I became aware of that version). I raised the exterior to get the entrance above water. I can't be sure whether it started after doing that or not, but I've been noticing furniture, rugs and weapon racks in particular that levitate from ankle height above the floor to recently knee height. Before I raised the exterior I did a complete pass through all the interior cells dropping things to the floor (and rugs slightly lower to get rid of the pulsating margins) but none were more than 0.5 to 1.0 units off the floor. If I missed any at that time I'm certain none were anywhere close to what I'm seeing now. Is this a result of something I'm doing or a common problem when editing other's work?
  7. Hello Tamira. I'm new here myself but I'm 'allowed' to give out un-nibbled cookies now. I have a year of German from ages ago when in school but mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut. All non-Anglo speakers using this site have my respect (even with that high school German I needed a boost from Google to give my memory a jog). What the heck, you deserve two!
  8. Hello Firelady. Considering I'm just new myself I guess I'll need to re-gift some cookies. Ooops ... sorry 'bout the nibble marks ... hehe
  9. Oops .. hehe, a bit of the ole double click there.
  10. Seems a good crowd for kibitzing. Mmmm ... sprinkles on this one!
  11. ... to troll here for some cookies (thanks Lanceor). The same Striker879 as on the Nexus. I've been active there this winter, mostly trying to help out the experts by getting some of the mundane "Where is your Oblivion installed" stuff covered for them. Started out as my way of paying it back (and forward maybe) for the wonderful mods I'd downloaded. I'm dabbling in the CS, and making progress in getting along with it (somewhat ... we still fight from time to time), getting more creative in my 'home rolled' efforts but nothing worthy of publishing yet. I'll probably need to get my head around scripting to step things up to the next level, something I'm looking forward to with some trepidation (had a little two year experience trying to learn C++ back in the day ... learned one thing ... my head don't fit around some things). Recently helped out another Nexus member with some beta testing and suggestions on his house mod and found out a couple of interesting things. One I already knew ... modding is habit forming. The other, releasing your work is akin to birthing (and I wasn't even the author ... can't imagine how deep that water's going to be when I dive in). In any case, you got any without chocolate chips (mmm raisins, my favourite).
  12. Or when you say "Good thing I retired ... I'd never make it into work after that fight".
