This mod uses the Skyfall Estate as a new standalone mod. We wanted to find a mod to give the player a family and a great house to work towards. This mod adds the NPCs of "Mother and Father" to the game giving your character a legit family. They, of course, are set up to die, but you could save them in your game. If you keep your parents, they'll become merchants for the house; however, they were never meant to survive the initial bandit raid. 3. It's coming...the best quest mod ever made. MORTAL COIL - Epic quest mod for Oblivion "Terrifyingly powerful Ayleid sorcerer king Tyras spells doom for the remaining Ayleid kingdoms of the underworld in Cyrodiil. Embark on an epic quest with the whimsical warrior Valamoor to the ancient city of Avalon to slay the tyrant. But beware, for nothing is as it seems. Along the way, you will be faced with choices you never wanted to make." Expected release date: 2020-2021 Mortal Coil is a love letter to the greatest video game RPGs and fantasy novels of all time, while also being a work of art and love requiring thousands of hours and my life force, blood, sweat and tears. Harkening back to the style and feel of character and dialog-heavy games such as Knights of the Old Republic 2 (considered the best RPG of all time), Mortal Coil deliveres an unprecedented story and art direction for any Elder Scrolls game and also draws on newer games. Mortal Coil is a novella given life. It is a short action-adventure RPG that is wildly engaging and reminiscent of books like the Amber Chronicles. It is my magnum opus, my life's work, the product of tons of experience and life lessons all birthed into a unique story with lessons unheard of in most AAA games, because of their dark and forbidden nature. With deep and interesting characters with full engaging voice acting, eye-defying visuals and art, custom animations and cutscenes hitherto unseen in an Elder Scrolls game or mod, and Fallen Order/Dark Souls-style boss battles that have been painstakingly balanced and scripted to be fun and engaging without being tedious or too difficult, Mortal Coil is... THE GREATEST OBLIVION MOD EVER MADE, and one of the greatest mods ever made. Standing in the hall of other mods such as Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge for KOTOR, or even Nehrim or Enderal, Mortal Coil is practically a small game in its own right that is wildly different than the game it is built upon, and yet at the same time is lore-friendly and does not contradict anything directly. For those who dare to enter here, prepare for the best video game quest mod ever made. Links: Fall of the Ayleids Nexus page Development screenshots on Twitter Support me on Patreon!
  4. The Elder Scrolls V: The Yokudan Ascendancy. Plot: The Yokudan Ascendency is a large-scale Quest mod for the Elder Scrolls V with releases planned for Legendary (regular) and Special edition. In this story, the player is promised 11 action-packed carefully crafted & interesting main-story quests as well as a shorter and less-extensive lore based storyline. Main questline: In this questline, the player discovers the mystery behind a dragon seeking to end all of Nirn – and this time not even the dragonborn can stop him. Discover the secrets behind Kronolyia – the realm of Akatosh and the final resting place of all deceased dragons. Become his champion, serve him loyally and discover true meaning of what it means to be “The last Dragonborn” and uncover the lost lore and secrets of the Aedra. Grow your power as dragonborn, unlocking raw, untapped power gifted to you by your creator and become the strongest mortal who ever lived. Lore Questline: After the events of the Dragon/Main Questline, the dragonborn faces a new threat. The Yokudan Ascendency’s oldest enemies – The true Descendants, a group of warriors from Hammerfell that arrived in the second Era in search of mythical Aedric Artefact said to be crafted by the divines. Both groups searched for it, but the stubborn and isolated ways of the Ascendency and the relaxed ways of the warriors clashed. The Yokudans eventually retreated back to their home in Oaksmere and the warriors assimilated into Skyrim culture and settled in the province, running Skyrim in the shadows from behind the scenes. Now, they have returned, and attempt to put an end to the Ascendency for the last time. In this questline, the tense history between the two groups are revealed as the dragonborn seeks to eradicate the latest threat to the Ascendency. Other details: The story attempts to explore the history of Yokuda and the migration to Tamriel that led to the Redguards of Hammerfell. Shedding light on their ways of life, their religion and everything that makes the redguards one of the most distinctive races of TES lore in terms of culture and history. Every character in the mod will be fully-voiced, each having their own unique character and personalities and can be interacted with or ignored if the player chooses. The mod uses a huge advanced radiant system to generate a large amount of radiant quests with some shared between characters and some character-unique – in total around 50 radiant side quests only available at certain points throughout the story. There are also non-radiant 1-time only side quests for minor characters throughout the mod. Each individual radiant quest has 5 randomly generated emotions that influence the outcome and dialogue of each character for a quest. In rare event the player gets the same quest multiple times, the chance of them hearing the same lines are rare. The same radiant quest to generate scenes and greetings between characters using relationships and factions to determine a group of randomly-selected lines to be said at any point during a conversation. For example, when a high-ranking member speaks to a low-ranking member they’re dialogue will be different if they speak to someone within the same rank, but these will both be different if the two characters happen to be friends. The mod attempts to add an attempt of spontaneity, escaping from the sometimes fixed environment vanilla Skyrim can sometimes unintentionally create – characters’ decision will often be influenced by certain actions the player makes during the story, for example, whether Alduin has been defeated yet or not. The mod also comes with marriage opportunities, follower opportunities, trainers and more, creating an overall interesting and fun gameplay. Features: § Custom Weapons and Armor (meshes and textures) § Custom Archetecture & interior meshes § Well-designed dungeons to explore throught the story line § Over 30 fully voiced NPCs § New worlds/ realms § New, unique and powerful spells and shouts § (Tries to be) Lore-friendly § New followers, spouses, and trainers § A brand new faction to join with a handful of characters and history to be uncovered § Well-designed and fitting rewards for quests How can you help? (Any skill level/experience welcome!) Due to the large nature of the mod, I have decided to keep this page as short as possible. Therefore I have decided to include this short list below and all other enquiries can be posted in this forum or I’ll be accepting DMs. PRIORITY: WRITING. As previously stated, the mod is very large and although possible, it can be very tedious and time-consuming for a single person to write scripts for all the characters with different emotions and tones. Therefore we ask for assistance in order to allow us to write such complex scripts in a reasonable amount of time. Currently writing remains the top priority in the project. Level designing: Assistance in creating interesting and creative levels to clear and uncover throughout the mod. Voice acting: Please DM me or Post in the topic as we have yet to set up the required links and audition pages. Also, due to the large number of characters, we decided it best to not post them individually and instead allow people to tell us what type of voices they can perform. Modelling & Texturing: Assistance needed in creating custom assets for mod. If you think you can add anything to the mod, even if not listed please do not hesitate to DM or post! ALL help is wanted! Thanks!

  6. The Brotherhood of Old Restoring the Dark Brotherhood to its former glory Betrayed by your own sister, the fate of the Dark Brotherhood rests upon the edge of a knife. As the Listener to the Night Mother, your mind has been plagued with troubling dreams as of a late. Among these dreams, a set of instructions, you are to end a family line that could destroy the Brotherhood forever. Buried deeper within those dreams, therein lies hope for the future. Slowly, you begin to rebuild the Brotherhood, adding in many assassins from all walks of life. Locked away within one of these acolytes, flows the blood of a Legendary Speaker from days passed. Can you train this initiate to be a master assassin, rivaling your own skill? Will the secret that's within their blood change the Brotherhood for the better, or doom it to a fate worse than death; to be forgotten? As you mold this descendant into a weapon, the Brotherhood becomes respected throughout the land once more. But with this respect comes fear, and with that fear many come out of the woods to destroy the Brotherhood. A recently disbanded guild has reformed, deadlier than ever. And an old but unknown enemy has resurfaced, and between the two guilds they are dedicated to wiping out every trace of the Brotherhood. Will you preserve the Brotherhood at all costs, even at the expense of the friendships and alliances you have fought so bravely for? Will you restore glory to your family, and make it The Brotherhood of Old? The Brotherhood of Old is a new quest mod for Skyrim, taking place after "Hail Sithis" in the Dark Brotherhood Quest. This 170 page screenplay will take you all across the land of Skyrim, as you try and rebuild the Brotherhood and strengthen it against future attacks. How will you deal with these new Brothers and Sisters? Will you be heartless and cold, doing only what is good for the Brotherhood as a whole? Will you be silent or cryptic, letting others fill in the gaps? Or will you be the good older sibling, nurturing the initiates and helping them succeed? Does the love of coin drive your every action, or is there a time and a place for mercy? Will you take the straightforward path, or will you put in a little extra effort and be rewarded proportionally? Will the Brotherhood fail under you, or will you make Sithis proud once again? For the past few months, I've been working diligently with Vincent, a talented modder, on bringing his project to life. However this project is far from complete, this is what we need from the community to help move our project forward. Since I work on the screenplay aspects of the mod, Vincent has been kind enough to provide descriptions of our progress and the open positions that we have on the team. "Open Positions: Scripter/s - Above all else, this is most important. Quest Scripter/s - Same as above. Level Designer/s: I've got the core of the levels built, I would just like the help of someone else to give the cluttering some variety. 3D Modeler/s: I need someone that can add weight painting and weapon formatting to existing meshes that I have created, and prepare them for use in-game. Texturer/s: Someone that can help me with UV unwrapping, because I have absolutely no idea how to get a texture on a mesh properly." "Screenshots: A Mysterious Camp A Mysterious Camp, Cont The Tenets, Restored A New Face A Growing Home Growing Home, Cont. An Unknown Black Door An Old Enemy Remembering the past A Hidden Refuge A place for sorrow Looking into the abyss " "Progress: New Sanctuaries: 100% built. 40% cluttered. New locations - Other: 95% built. I'm still working on some minor locations. NPCs: 80%? I believe all new NPCs have been created. I am currently working on giving them AI and placing them in their proper locations. Scripting: 80% - The Wrath of Sithis has been created and works well; I just need help hooking him up to the rest of the game. Currently, you need to use console commands to get him to show up, and you're not accepted back into the Dark Brotherhood when he is defeated. Writing: 100% - Done Quests: 50% - Quests are completely written in an easy to comprehend format for a quest scripter to put together in the Creation Kit. A lot of the quests also need scenes put together for them. (One quest, for example, where the player watches an event from the past through the eyes of another person.) AI: 5% - As mentioned above, working on it. Custom Meshes and Textures: 50% - Most, if not all of the custom meshes we need, I have created. I just need help preparing them for use in-game, such as weight painting, weapon formatting in NifSkope, and UV mapping. I use Maya and the nif export plugin is far from complete, which is why I can not export the meshes myself." *EDIT: The screenshot links aren't working atm, I'll get that corrected as soon as possible, thank you for your patience* *EDIT 2: The screenshots are now working!*

  8. Hey community, I was wondering what you expect in quest mods? Or asked another way, what would make the perfect quest mod in your opinion? Voice acting? Continuing Vanilla story lines? Any category I haven't yet mentioned? Quick side note, if a quest mod extends the vanilla story line, what would you expect from NPCs that were involved in the original quest? Every time they speak would it be subtitles or would you get a new voice actor who could sound similar?

I use Maya and the nif export plugin is far from complete, which is why I can not export the meshes myself."
