  1. So I'm having an issue with the Creation Kit crashing when I attempt to duplicate a bookshelf. It's a four-shelf bookshelf, with 11 books on Each Shelf. I'm not at home at the moment - but if I recall right it's using the 'NobleShelf02' as the base model. All four shelves work perfectly, no issues. When I made the bookshelf - I duplicated each shelf accordingly, with no issues. Completed it, saved it, tested it. I had one small issue with the books falling on the floor from the second shelf, which was a duplicate of the first shelf (3 and 4 worked just fine) - but after just playing the game a while that 'bug' went away. I suspect it was simply a bug in my saved game, and not anything to do with the mod whatsoever as it's working perfectly now. In any event - whenever I attempt to 'duplicate' or 'copy' this bookshelf - the CK kit just hangs. It appears to be doing something... but even after an hour, it is still just sitting there. I've tried to run it as administrator, etc - no change. I mean heck, even if the 'duplication' took 15 minutes, it would be pointless. I haven't had any other issues with it. This CK is a lot more stable overall it seems than the Fallout 3 GECK for sure. I've been modding since Oblivion/Fallout 3, and am mostly familiar with the creation kits. Is this a known issue or does anyone know a fix for this? I can copy smaller items (such as each shelf independently) - but attempting the bookshelf + 4 shelves just results in a hang. At this point, it might seem like my only option is to just plop in another bookshelf and copy a shelf 4 times for each one. Wouldn't be so bad if this CK supported the Static Collections like FO4 does.. but it seems it does not, correct? MY CPU and Video card are a bit dated (i5 and an nVidia 770) - but I have a ton of RAM (24GB) Also my apologies if this is the wrong forum for this - but it seemed the most applicable..
  2. I just installed FCOM today. Since it's been years since I've last played/installed mods for oblivion I went for a basic install using nUbees guide ( https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8BTIQGFFmHPWmNCbVdSUXFDRXc/edit?pli=1 ) word to word. However, like that, the game CTDs on the IC waterfront, near the anvil lighthouse and at several other places too. I fiddled around with deactivating the mods one by one and it turned out that the MMM mod is causing the crashes. How is FCOM installed correctly? I'd really like to play it, it's one of the big modpacks I can't enjoy oblivion half as much without. The game is a clean install with all possible DLC's and the mods/patches mentioned in the nUbee install guide.
  3. Hey All! I am quite new to Skyrim modding, I am following this tutorial: () wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1 I have finished everything stated in it - carefully - , but there was a difference that occured: in the step when exporting the things from blender to .nif, after I opened the new .nif I got this way, there wasn't any "Scene Root node", instead there were everything else normally, just how they should look like inside the "Scene Root node". So I continued, leaving out the step: deleting the "Scene Root node". Everything seemed normal, but when I tried using my .nif file in the Creation Kit, it crashed... And every single time afterwards too. You should also know, that I made some extra steps while working in blender: - After importing the basic .nif file into Blender 2.49b, I saved that .blend file, then opened it up in Blender 2.7a. - I made changes on the mesh, assigned a material, made my UV map, then made a new .dds texture (plus its friends: n&m ). - I exported what I made to .obj. - Then I imported the .obj into Blender 2.49b, and continued the process normally, as in the tutorial. I am using Blender since a year now, and like it much much, so I really don't want going off to 3ds Max.   4. So I've recently run into a problem with the Creation Kit. When I add a script (or modify an existing script), I can change the source and attach it to an object, but if I try to even open the properties window, that window freezes. Even after this window freezes, I can still modify anything else like normal, but I'm unable to save because you have to close all of the windows. I've tried with and without mods loading (even before the Master File has been told to load). Has anybody heard of this or know what the issue is? Any advice at all is appreciated! Scripting is very limited without properties :/
  5. Ok so I am making a dungeon that has unique items in it. Among these items is a sword called Archona. This sword is a one-handed sword that uses the nord hero greatsword model. I edited the model in Nifskope and it worked in Skyrim for a long time without any problems whatsoever. Also when I coc'd to the cell and used the item, there wasn't a problem. Now, suddenly, as soon as I equip Archona, the game crashes. As soon as I coc to MODfortuneslossb2, the game crashes. However, when I loaded up a saved game that already had Archona in it, I could equip it without any trouble. I have all the files and would greatly appreciate it if someone who knows a lot about meshes could inspect the nifs for the sword please?
