Racer Since Bethesda released Dawnguard, it felt wrong that there was no snow elf ruins anywhere in the province, and that's why I made this mod. The logic I've followed is that the nords and their dragon masters burnt everything falmer-related they found to the ground; thus, you'll find most of my ruins in snowy places (they were the snow elves, after all), and very out of the way. If you can't (or lack the patience to) find them, you can spoil yourself their locations with the included text file. But ruins is not the only thing adventurers live off. The mod also includes: - New dungeons, some of them configured for radiant quests. - New lore books, written by yours truly. - New loot. - New enemies. - One simple quest. ------------- COMPATIBILITY ------------- 1. The mod is compatible with all my other mods but one: A Fitting Throne for Vyrthur. If you're using it, you can deactivate it because the throne is already included in Falmeroon. 2. The new books are included in the vanilla leveled lists so you can find them while playing. Which means, if you're using other mods that change the same lists, you'll need Wrye Bash to make them work together through a bashed patch. 3. I don't have Hearthfire so I can't test for incompatibilities, but considering how out of the way my ruins are, I expect very few, or none. 4. Other incompatibilites may arise (like other mods using the same exterior spaces). I'll deal wit them as they come. ------------ REQUIREMENTS ------------ - Dawnguard DLC. - Dragonborn DLC. - Fuz Ro D-oh - Silent Voice by shadeMe, if you want to be able to read the new dialogue. ------------ INSTALLATION ------------ Unzip all the files and drop them on your Skyrim/Data folder, overwriting if asked, and activate the plugin in the Skyrim launcher. The file has been fully cleaned with TES5Edit 3.0.32. ---------------------------- BUGS / THINGS TO BE AWARE OF ---------------------------- 1. Some exterior cells lack a navmesh because Bethesda didn't build it. As touching it is very dangerous, I've made only minimum changes, so you will find some locations where your companions can't follow you. It doesn't bother me because I never use companions, but if you do, just tell them to wait. 2. Likewise, although all dungeons are completely navmeshed, there're some very simple platforming parts where your companions will get stuck. Racer Desde que Bethesda publicó Guardia del Amanecer, se me ha hecho raro que no hubiera ruinas de los elfos de la nieve en ninguna parte de la provincia, y por eso he hecho ésta modificación. La lógica que he seguido es que los nórdicos y sus amos dragones quemaron hasta los cimientos todo aquello que encontraron relacionado con los falmer; por tanto, encontrarás la mayoría de mis ruinas en lugares nevados (al fin y al cabo eran elfos de la nieve), y muy apartados. Si no puedes encontrarlas (o te falta la paciencia para ello) puedes arruinarte la sorpresa y mirar sus localizaciones en el archivo de texto incluído. Pero no sólo de riunas viven los aventureros. La mod también incluye: - Nueva mazmorras, algunas de ellas configuradas para ser usadas por las misiones radiant. - Nuevos libros, escritos por un servidor. - Nuevo botín. - Nuevos enemigos. - Una misión simple. -------------- COMPATIBILIDAD -------------- 1. La mod es compatible con todas mis otras mods excepto una: A Fitting Throne for Vyrthur. Si la estás usando, puedes desactivarla porque el trono ya está incluído en Falmeroon. 2.Los nuevos libros están incluídos en las listas niveladas vanilla para que puedas encontrarlos mientras juegas. Lo que significa que, si estás usando otra mod que cambie las misma listas, necesitarás Wrye Bash para hacerlas funcionar juntas con un bashed patch. 3. No tengo Fuego del Hogar así que no puedo probar si hay incompatibilidades, pero considerando lo apartadas que están mis ruinas, espero que haya muy pocas o ninguna. 4. A mí no me molesta porque no uso compañeros, pero si tú sí lo haces, diles que esperen y ya está. 2. Igualmente, aunque todas las mazmorras tienen navmesh, hay algunas partes con plataformeo muy simple en las que tus compañeros se quedarán atascados.   3. If there is one thing I can't stand in games, it's things not making any sense at all. And since this is a Skyrim forum, guess which game I have a problem with? tl;dr Skyrim dungeons are bland and boring. It erks me. Now imagine this for a second; Your a Dwemer lord, planning his city. Do you; A) Make a city that Includes "houses" and shops, smithing areas and potion labs B) Make a fortress that is straightforward, and includes general areas to make items, store items and house troops C) Randomly dig into the ground with no plan or real propose Ok, you can stop pretending now. So which did you pick? Are you making a city? Are you on the border and housing troops? Or are you insane? To me, all of Skyrim's dungeons are the last option. They make no sense. Excluding all cave based dungeons (which I have other issues with), dungeons usually follow this format 1.Enter and go straight 2.Go from room to room, never any diverging paths 3.Kill all enemies and then boss 4.Collect loot and possible a th'um 5.Hit "secret" button/chain/lever to open "secret" door leading back to start/near start 6.Exit Almost EVERY dungeon follows that pattern. Think again to the Dwemer ruins. Where did they all sleep? Where did they make weapons? Armour? Potions? Where did they research/make all of there steam equipment? All of their minions? All of the ruins just follow a simple linear path. Sure there are some rooms off to the side, but think about it, what was IN these rooms? NOTHING. All of them were just a lockpick sink (D&D players think gold sink) and a holding area for a semi-important item. When I first picked up Skyrim, I made a sneaking character. Wanted to try and steal some items instead of killing everyone. It's not possible due to one thing only. The quest structure is there. The skills are there. The ability is there. but the LEVEL DESIGN prevents it. Level design is everything. i remember in Oblivion there were often two paths to get to the end, or at least a side tunnel to sneak passed enemies. Now some dungeons where designed to make you fight, but that's the point. They were DESIGNED. In Skyrim you can't sneak past enemies. They are placed at the end of a tunnel. Now granted, with all sneak perks, Muffle, Invisibility, and going REAL slow, you could sneak past. But really? Is that fun? Remember that quest in Oblivion where you had to deal with the mercenary leader? He was sick and needed a potion every night. You could either sneak in and switch the potion. OR you could run in and bash everyone over the head. Either way it was fun. There was enough stuff to hid behind that you could sneak. And straightforward enough to just run through. But there were SIDE rooms. Rooms with a point to NPCS but not to the story. It made it interesting, fun. Skyrim is missing this in my opinion. It is up to us, the modders, the fans, lovers of all things TES to fix this. One day, I plan on changing all the main quest dungeons. So more people can enjoy better dungeons. tl;dr Skyrim dungeons are bland and boring. It erks me.

Note that I don't have ANY mods installed, so I really don't know wich ones are compatible or not. Mods that shouldn't cause problems ---------------------------------- -Adding or changing UI -Adding or changing locations -Adding or changing textures -Adding dialogues -Adding quests -Adding spells -Adding all kinds of stuff Mods that might cause problems ------------------------------ -Changing quests (for example companion specific) -Changing actors (specially the lvl ones) -Changing spells -Changing meshes -Changing names of objects -Changing statics, misc or any other object in general In sum, adding should not cause any compatibility issue, but changing might, so pay attention to changes. Not all types of changes are "bad", but adding is better than changing, changing stuff causes massive compatibility and stability problems. If you enter an interior and you appear in "space" you might need to: -Go to C:\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim -Search for file Skyrim.ini -Open with notepad, under [General] add iLargeIntRefCount=999999 If you don't have grass please check this link: http://goo.gl/aZdhRa If you have shout problems it seems installing the mod with NMM shrinks the size of your BlackLand.bsa, please check to see if it's +- 400 mb, if it's smaller than that ( < 200 mb) you should uninstall the mod with NMM and install it manually. ~TES5EDIT~ ========== When cleaning you may encounter a lot of items (825 last time I checked), this is what the creator of TES5Edit had to say about them: "That's some special case handling for removing cells which were defined but are not actually used for anything. If you go to those forms manually you'll note that they're likely just cell records with nothing attached, or cell records with empty "Temporary" blocks on them. It's harmless to let it remove those, though it'll probably get annoying since the CK will insist on resaving them - unlike the behavior in Oblivion." So, no point removing them. ~PERFORMANCE~ ============= If you have performance issues and are using destructible survival modes, try to deactivate them, the slowest script is the destructible armor, start by it then deactivate the others if needed. ~MOTIVATION~ ============ I love games, I love playing them and I love "making" them, this mod is an opportunity to show my skills and at the same time "work" in the industry, and maybe, who knows, work for real in this area? Prior to this mod I only modded PES - Pro Evolution Soccer, I had no clue how to script or use CK, it has been a long road with lots of bumps, and I mean lots, but I've enjoyed all hours (3500+ CK, 390+ Skyrim) that I've spent editing this game (almost all of them anyways).
