  1. SOLVEDBeing stupid. When I filled the properties in the CK, I filled the DeadAttacker property the same as the TotalAttacker property, which when the game loaded it already had the DeadAttacker_var filled with the number of dead attackers, so when one was killed it automatically set the next stage, because the number was >= the the TotalAttacker. I'm attempting to advance a quest after killing "x" number of attackers. I have used these two scripts in the past without issue, but for some reason they are no longer working as designed, and I don't know why. I have placed this script on the actor Been working on this for two nights and going crazy. Any insight will be appreciated.
  2. Alright, so after discussing it a bit with the few other people on my team we've decided to actually announce the project we have been working on! The City of Thieves: The City of Thieves is a large immersive and interactive City we are adding to Skyrim. You can walk to it like any other city but its size is around that of Blackreach OR 3-4 of the other cities combined. Its split into many sections and provides plenty for the player to do. The City of Thieves is a free port city with no real government and thus the ebb and flow of the city is based around business. It is "ruled" by several large crime organizations and trade associations that live in relative peace with one another for the sake of profit. More about the City -Lots of Lore ~Probably one of the worst things in skyrim for roleplayers is the lack of lore and we have correct this through the use of: *Legends within the city and of some of which you will get to see take place before your very eyes! *Unique history of the city which is as colorful a tale as any *Lots of books of both fiction and non-fiction(for skyrim) *Lots of real political and economic theories thrown in, if you watch closely enough you will feel educated by the time this is all done! -Interactive, creative, and interesting characters *Realistic and charming characters who will pull on your heart strings with their stories and humanity *Lots of cool scenes and dialogue as well as wacky moments *Fully developed story arcs no rushed stories like with the Companions You'll feel really involved before the stories are done *Many different voices, you will notice very little repetition of voices and certainly none in the main characters! *A great variety of personalities and view points that will leave you WANTING to meet new people *Companions with actual personalities that you can bring to the rest of Skyrim! -Tons of new places to explore *The city is underground allowing us to really go all out on what we want to add with a large variety of dungeons. *New types of dungeons *New enemies as well as much more challenging enemies(don't worry we have companions ready if you're not strong enough) *lots of easter eggs hidden throughout to encourage you to explore! -Many meaningful sidequests *No more Fetch-and-Go quests *No Quest Markers but lots of hints and directions(possibly not sure if we want to do this or not) *Interesting quests that really leave you thinking and make you feel like you're making an impact *Lots of comedy as well as seriousness -Several different main-storylines that you can choose to follow *Their are several factions within the city and you can only be in one at any time! *Each of these has a very interesting and interactive storyline that lets YOU choose how things will go *Very large and immersive stories you'll be thinking that this is really happening! *Each story has a large impact on the city and we hope it will have one on you as well! -Choices, choices and MORE choices! *Many moral choices to really make you think! *The storyline will change based on your choices; your friends playthrough might be ENTIRELY different then yours! *How you outfit yourself can also impact the story and how it goes! *Possible romance options(still deciding this one) *No more immortal characters, if you choose to go on a killing rampage you inherit the consequences! -Challening bosses *No more easy kill bosses, you will be challenged to your fullest in these fights(unless you cheat) *Fight alone or fight with the friends you make along the way either way you will find the fights to be much different based upon your play-style-choices *Long and multi-staged boss fights that will be able to maintain your interest the entire way through -Lots of laughs *The seriousness of the main story is interrupted by fun side-quests as well as laughable and sweet moments with other characters. What you can contribute! -Side Quests: We have a lot of side quests ideas but we want more! No fetch-and-go Quests. Interactive as well as interesting quests! -Feedback: I don't know about the others but I really want you to enjoy our Mod as much as possible without butchering our original idea. So tell us what you think and what you want! -Voice Actors(closed at the moment): Right now we don't need voice actors(we will advertise in that forum when we are) we want to get as much of the actual city done as possible before we start adding in all the character dialogue. -A formal name for the city: The City is called the City of Thieves its a title as well as an insult, but their needs to be a formal name for the City. I'll be posting updates of how the project is going soon, but I need to leave at the moment so God bless guys!
  3. I'm currently working on a stand-alone follower for Skyrim, using existing vanilla sources to patch together a quest that will turn the NPC into a follower. I managed to hash out a series of dialogue trees, but I'm running into a problem - the CK limits the player's dialog prompts to a very slim 80 characters, which makes working with an already hampered dialogue tree even more difficult. What methods could I use to circumvent the 80 character limit? If you've made dialogue trees for quests before, what methods did you use to deal with the 80-character limit on player dialogue prompts?

Not all types of changes are "bad", but adding is better than changing, changing stuff causes massive compatibility and stability problems. If you go to those forms manually you'll note that they're likely just cell records with nothing attached, or cell records with empty "Temporary" blocks on them. It's harmless to let it remove those, though it'll probably get annoying since the CK will insist on resaving them - unlike the behavior in Oblivion." So, no point removing them. ~PERFORMANCE~ ============= If you have performance issues and are using destructible survival modes, try to deactivate them, the slowest script is the destructible armor, start by it then deactivate the others if needed. ~MOTIVATION~ ============ I love games, I love playing them and I love "making" them, this mod is an opportunity to show my skills and at the same time "work" in the industry, and maybe, who knows, work for real in this area? Prior to this mod I only modded PES - Pro Evolution Soccer, I had no clue how to script or use CK, it has been a long road with lots of bumps, and I mean lots, but I've enjoyed all hours (3500+ CK, 390+ Skyrim) that I've spent editing this game (almost all of them anyways).     REQUIRES DAWNGUARD DLC Hello everyone! This is my project I've been working on since mid or early September; albeit alot of the time was spent getting resources together and messing with database and editing music to work nicely and messing around with meshes- you know I have no idea where I'm going with this. The idea of this mod is simple, it makes the game a more into the Holiday Spirit with quests, gear, decorations, and the like. Current Version uploaded on here is 0.15 - Adds Halloween music to many areas, as well as decoration of Whiterun and a voice acted quest which starts in the Whiterun Graveyard, and an unfinished quest in the quest in the whiterun graveyard as well involving a mask... Falkreath is mildly decorated and it's Graveyard is where it's quest will take place. (big surprise, not?) It's sort of a large project, and hopefully you will only need to download the texture, meshes, and music files once and update using the Main File updates, although I will upload mesh and texture updates as I get more. I kind of recommend downloading from my Nexus page as it's going to be updated, way more often than here because it's so much easier to upload files there. Also note: Not all of the objects in the rights/permissions are used yet. Version 0.5 is uploaded on the nexus, and the files are a bit too large to cut up for here.
  6. Really sorry if this is not in the right spot, but their appears to be no tutorial for audio so I can't seek help there. I either need someone to help teach me how to make both normal audio and quest audio OR Someone to handle the audio on a project we are making. Theirs tons of audio involved, we have many many characters, and we hope to have many many voice actors(were gonna start advertising for VA's a bit later on) I myself had tried to just do Audio myself, but literally spent a entire day just trying to make the audio for one character! If you can help I'd really appreciate it! Wanna learn how to make normal audio/dialogue and Quest Dialogue, as well as events and event audio. Thanks again!

We also have a TesNexus and Bethesda forums page and our trailer on youtube As some may already know, we have been trying to get a release over this year but sadly the small numbers of people in the team keeps pushing back the release date. We currently have over half a worldspace almost totally complete with around 98% interiors, 96% towns, 90% dungeons and a truly vast collection of new items that are completely unique to the mod, including creatures etc. Most of what remains of the physical modding I can handle myself but we are short or overworked in some crucial areas. As yet, we are most in need of quest modders, scripters and modellers to finalise plans besides needing someone to help out a little with establishing the in-game map. All scripts and models requiring completion are listed on our own forums and I am in the process of finishing the writing of the quest ideas already developed. If you can help or know of anyone who can assist, please send me a PM or get in touch via Facebook (preferred method) but please: no timewasters! We've had enough of them but even if your contribution is small, it WILL be credited and greatly appreciated.
  8. I'm looking to compile ideas for a "mod" that gives you trophy items. The concept is: (1) Suppose you played Heart of the Dead. Then, for whatever reason, you want to or need to uninstall it. After all, the quest is done, and if you have enough companions or player homes or what not, then why not remove it to keep your Oblivion build lighter? Or maybe you've done it before but don't want to re-do it with your current character, but want to acknowledge your own previous efforts. (2) But since you *did* complete the quest, it would be nice to nevertheless take something away from it. So how about giving your character a symbolic item? It could be a no-item-slot piece of apparel (since you can then equip as much of them as you like) that gives you a symbolic boost. For HotD, for example, since you had to survive the White King's Curse so many times, maybe it can give you Fortify Health +10. And if you got Wintermoon as a companion, maybe you can get FortifyMagickaMultiplier +1. (A different use for this trophy concept could be to change the completion of Master Trainer quests into a Fortify Skill item instead of taking training from them. That way there's a point to visiting them after your skill is 100 and they can't train you anymore anyway.) * So, if you're interested in this idea for yourself and are considering it now, I'd welcome ideas such as <Quest Mod X> gives you <trophy bonus>.
  9. Hello! I want to tell you about a new Skyrim quest mod - Niflheim: House of Dark Mists. This is a quest mod I just finished up after three months of work on it. I've created many new mechanics for the quest, and I've created an archery range and two combat mannequins you can use to level skills, a new set of armor for the player as a reward, among many other things.
