  1. I have questions --- sooooo many questions --- on the topic of "custom voices" [dialogue] for NPCs & player's character as well. Here's a few just spit out from the tippy-top of my "head": ~ What the HECK is a FUZ? Where can I get said-"FUZ" tools, and a miracle that it'll be easy to figure out/learn to use correctly? ~ What's their line... lines... if I were wanting to re-voice the vanilla dialogue for some of the player-follower interaction lines. ~ If I wanted to take some recorded "WAV" files and alter the pitch/tone of the voice, which (free) tools would be easiest for making such adjustments? PS- I'm without a bit of know-how when it comes to all those sliders 'n knobs I've seen on some tools before! ~ What the fudge am I getting myself into now; Kratos' mods are haunting me apparently. With that last question (which I'm sure nobody will ever have the answer for) gives away the voice I'm hoping to capture and bring to the mod(s) to set our Kratos/Kratas apart from the knock-offs/others that are available. This is also assuming one of the authors from aforementioned "others" doesn't see/hear about this plan 'n beat me to it.... But --- I digress --- I'm sure I've got the CK portion pretty much figured out from the various forums & videos online. It's really everything else up to that point that I'm in the dark about. I'll greatly appreciate whatever info regarding this topic that's available; even if it may come with an asterisk/heads up! Any-n-all related miscellaneous info or unconventional little tips/tricks that may help me with this endeavor are equally appreciated!
  2. Greetings, TES Alliance Community! I am the mod author behind some Oblivion epic quest and dungeon delving mods such as The Forgotten Dungeon, Archfiend, Voyage: Deserts of Oblivion and The Secrets of Angalayond Cey. I am currently in search of a voice actor who can narrate some monologue lines for the trailer for my next biggest modding project for Oblivion. Those looking to audition for the voice acting position must be eligible for the following Please read and review ALL of the following sections carefully for the voice acting position. Requirements: -Must be 18 years or older -Must be able to record audio files in Mono -Must save the files in either .mp3 or .wav format -Must be able to record with no background or extra vocal interference (Pop filter recommended) -This is an unpaid position. Story and Background My next project will be a horror mystery mod centered around an estate that is located up the road from Bruma in the Jerall Mountains. Long ago in Cyrodiil, a wealthy family purchased the land around Dragonclaw Rock and built their estate. For unknown reasons, the family slowly descended into a dark stupor. One day, investigators would search the estate because of a missing persons report and find nothing but blood staining the halls of the estate. All of the servants, groundskeepers and members of the wealthy family mysteriously disappeared without a trace. This event would become known as the Disappearances at Dragonclaw Rock. This is where you come in. You are going to play the part of the narrator of the trailer. The narrator is a person who was either directly or indirectly involved in the Disappearances at Dragonclaw Rock. The Character The character that will be narrating the trailer will be someone who is reminiscing and recounting the events that unfold during "The Jerall Mountain Disappearances". The character can be a male or a female. Their identity changes depending on the voice actor. Personality/description: The character will be reminiscing past and present events with a demeanor of fearful hesitation and reflective introspection. Think of the character as someone who is writing a journal and recounting past or even present events. The Audition If you decide to audition then record yourself saying the following lines and email the recordings to me at demonlord7654@gmail.com and I may or may not provide feedback. "A shroud looms over County Bruma. The residents of Stalrous Manor have vanished and the forests are eerily quiet." and "The Jerall Mountains have been barren since the disappearances. The animals are nowhere to be seen and the goblins have begun to flee their caves." and "I sometimes hear screams coming from deep in the woods and see figures running through the trees in the distance. I feel as though I am being watched." Deadline for the audition: AUDITIONS ARE CLOSED! You can contact me via email address: demonlord7654@gmail.com Or through Nexus Forums Looking forward to seeing your submissions! Thank you and best of luck! -DemonLord
  3. Greetings, Oblivion TES Alliance Community! I am the mod author behind some Oblivion epic quest and dungeon delving mods such as The Forgotten Dungeon, Archfiend and The Secrets of Angalayond Cey. I am currently in search of a voice actor who can narrate some dialogue lines for the trailer for my next biggest modding project for Oblivion. Those looking to audition for the voice acting position must be eligible for the following Please read and review ALL of the following sections carefully for the voice acting position. Requirements: -Must be 20 years or older -Must speak clear English (NO heavy accents) -Must be able to record audio files in Mono -Must save the files in either .mp3 or .wav format -Must be able to record with no background or extra vocal interference (Pop filter recommended) -This is an unpaid position. Story and Background My newest project will be centered around new world exploration and dungeon delving with some survival elements mixed in. The title of the mod will be Voyage: Deserts of Oblivion and will feature a new realm in the planes of Oblivion that consists of endless seas of sand and dunes. The only way to access this realm is through cursed artifacts that warp you there with no way out. Those that are teleported to the desert (Whether they are Daedra or mortals) end up lost forever exploring the dunes and looking for a way out. Bits and pieces of great ruins, fortresses and random junk also can be found drifting through the sands from locations all over the Elder Scrolls Universe. The inhabitants of the desert are forced to utilize what finds its way to the realm to survive. This project of mine draws some inspiration from Dark Souls. This is where you come in. You are going to play the part of the narrator of the trailer. He is an unfortunate victim that has been trapped in the desert and has lived there for years on a trek through the sand. The Character Name: Haldorian - MALE - (Name subject to change) Class: Fighter/wanderer/survivalist Personality/description: Haldorian is a man that has breathlessly wandered the desert in search of answers and a way home. He searches for a way out in hopes that he can get back to his family. After so many years of surviving the desert he has become cynical, jaded, impatient and blinded to the reality that what he is looking for may no longer exist. but nevertheless remains relentless and unbreakable in the face of being forgotten to the sands. He has a deep voice and a scratchy throat. You can use Eygon of Carim as a pretty good example of his tone of voice here: The Audition If you decide to audition then record yourself saying the following lines and email the recordings to me at demonlord7654@gmail.com and I may or may not provide feedback. "Far beyond the burning waters of Oblivion lies a place where the seas flow as sand and stretch on for what seems like eternity." and "Here in this arid hellscape, beings and structures far removed from their home of origin go to be forgotten and swallowed by the endless tide of dust and dirt." Auditions are CLOSED! You can contact me via email address: demonlord7654@gmail.com Or through Nexus Forums (Not on TES Alliance) Or at the bottom of this page... Looking forward to seeing your submissions! Thank you and best of luck! -DemonLord
  4. The Elder Scrolls V: The Yokudan Ascendancy. Plot: The Yokudan Ascendency is a large-scale Quest mod for the Elder Scrolls V with releases planned for Legendary (regular) and Special edition. In this story, the player is promised 11 action-packed carefully crafted & interesting main-story quests as well as a shorter and less-extensive lore based storyline. Main questline: In this questline, the player discovers the mystery behind a dragon seeking to end all of Nirn – and this time not even the dragonborn can stop him. Discover the secrets behind Kronolyia – the realm of Akatosh and the final resting place of all deceased dragons. Become his champion, serve him loyally and discover true meaning of what it means to be “The last Dragonborn” and uncover the lost lore and secrets of the Aedra. Grow your power as dragonborn, unlocking raw, untapped power gifted to you by your creator and become the strongest mortal who ever lived. Lore Questline: After the events of the Dragon/Main Questline, the dragonborn faces a new threat. The Yokudan Ascendency’s oldest enemies – The true Descendants, a group of warriors from Hammerfell that arrived in the second Era in search of mythical Aedric Artefact said to be crafted by the divines. Both groups searched for it, but the stubborn and isolated ways of the Ascendency and the relaxed ways of the warriors clashed. The Yokudans eventually retreated back to their home in Oaksmere and the warriors assimilated into Skyrim culture and settled in the province, running Skyrim in the shadows from behind the scenes. Now, they have returned, and attempt to put an end to the Ascendency for the last time. In this questline, the tense history between the two groups are revealed as the dragonborn seeks to eradicate the latest threat to the Ascendency. Other details: The story attempts to explore the history of Yokuda and the migration to Tamriel that led to the Redguards of Hammerfell. Shedding light on their ways of life, their religion and everything that makes the redguards one of the most distinctive races of TES lore in terms of culture and history. Every character in the mod will be fully-voiced, each having their own unique character and personalities and can be interacted with or ignored if the player chooses. The mod uses a huge advanced radiant system to generate a large amount of radiant quests with some shared between characters and some character-unique – in total around 50 radiant side quests only available at certain points throughout the story. There are also non-radiant 1-time only side quests for minor characters throughout the mod. Each individual radiant quest has 5 randomly generated emotions that influence the outcome and dialogue of each character for a quest. In rare event the player gets the same quest multiple times, the chance of them hearing the same lines are rare. The same radiant quest to generate scenes and greetings between characters using relationships and factions to determine a group of randomly-selected lines to be said at any point during a conversation. For example, when a high-ranking member speaks to a low-ranking member they’re dialogue will be different if they speak to someone within the same rank, but these will both be different if the two characters happen to be friends. The mod attempts to add an attempt of spontaneity, escaping from the sometimes fixed environment vanilla Skyrim can sometimes unintentionally create – characters’ decision will often be influenced by certain actions the player makes during the story, for example, whether Alduin has been defeated yet or not. The mod also comes with marriage opportunities, follower opportunities, trainers and more, creating an overall interesting and fun gameplay. Features: § Custom Weapons and Armor (meshes and textures) § Custom Archetecture & interior meshes § Well-designed dungeons to explore throught the story line § Over 30 fully voiced NPCs § New worlds/ realms § New, unique and powerful spells and shouts § (Tries to be) Lore-friendly § New followers, spouses, and trainers § A brand new faction to join with a handful of characters and history to be uncovered § Well-designed and fitting rewards for quests How can you help? (Any skill level/experience welcome!) Due to the large nature of the mod, I have decided to keep this page as short as possible. Therefore I have decided to include this short list below and all other enquiries can be posted in this forum or I’ll be accepting DMs. PRIORITY: WRITING. As previously stated, the mod is very large and although possible, it can be very tedious and time-consuming for a single person to write scripts for all the characters with different emotions and tones. Therefore we ask for assistance in order to allow us to write such complex scripts in a reasonable amount of time. Currently writing remains the top priority in the project. Level designing: Assistance in creating interesting and creative levels to clear and uncover throughout the mod. Voice acting: Please DM me or Post in the topic as we have yet to set up the required links and audition pages. Also, due to the large number of characters, we decided it best to not post them individually and instead allow people to tell us what type of voices they can perform. Modelling & Texturing: Assistance needed in creating custom assets for mod. If you think you can add anything to the mod, even if not listed please do not hesitate to DM or post! ALL help is wanted! Thanks!
