I hope everyone has a wonderful day today filled with family, friends and oh yeah....food!  Lots and lots of food!  I personally will be spending the day with my husband's family and happily making myself sick on his grandmothers world famous mashed potatoes.  Seriously, they're practically a food group all by themselves.

Thanksgiving in the U.S. happened today.

Thanksgiving in Canada happened a month ago, rofl.

i just celebrate it cause i live in the US,

germans dont we have nikolaus. you get candy from a dude thats like santas cousin (not literally)

Every St. Nicholas day, my family would hear a knock at our door.  We'd run to open it and find that someone had left a big bag of nuts and fruit at the door.  It was the 70's so we brought it in and ate it.  Not til years later did I discover it was a cousin of mine.  

My mom's german.  So I love St. Nick's Day!!

=D we need 2 clean our shoes and then the nikolaus (aka my mom lol) puts candy nuts etc. in them
