WillieSea and WindmillTilter, didn't you mean the Block Details of the bhkRigidBody(T) rather than the bhkCollisionObject?

No. All of the objects I have ever made static in oblivion were only changed with the instructions I gave. (two changes and thats it) Nothing else was changed and the objects never move in game or give errors.
Try it and see.

I have done this with armor, weapons, food and other misc items. It has never failed me.

Perhaps I was unclear. :pints:

The 'bhkRigidBody' is in the block details of the 'bhkCollisionObject', sort of like I said. I just did not specify the 'bhkRigidBody'.

I followed this method so much that I clicked on 'bhkRigidBody' without even thinking about it.

Glad you got it working right. I will update my document.

I'm sure your right switching the motion settings to static should stop the object from moving. I like to keep things neat and tidy though, so if I'm switching to Static havok I always change all 3. I'm also not sure what else may be affected by the layer setting so better safe than sorry.

Yeah I also change name of the root node and NiTriStrips (StaticInkwell, etc.) but then I'm kind of weird. :candle:

Since we've completely derailed DR's thread already :bagged: I had a couple of questions about BSX flags. Since changing the motion settings to Anim but leaving the layer at Static doesn't work reliably, I assumed that setting the layer to Anim caused the engine to pay more attention and might have a performance hit. Do you think leaving the animation bit enabled on the BSX flags might have the same effect?

Have you ever experimented with using them in subnodes? I've alway assumed you can't since none of the Beth NIFs do, but I've never tested the theory. For example having a setting of 2 in the root node of a largely static NIF, but adding a second BSX flags set to 3 in a subnode that contains animation.
