is size an issue?

I don't think so, but contestants do need to CLEAN their mods before submission to reduce the bulk of their entries to just what's needed and no dirty edits.

If you need tips on mod cleaning check these tutorials:

I snipped the animation off a portcullis for use in the Oubliette core, but after awhile these weird ghosts started to appear on each one of the nifs. Are these the ghosts of the animations I murdered? :D

Seriously, anyone seen anything like this before? I thought I was seeing things until I caught it in a screenshot.

Great thanks. It's not gonna be nearly as good as it could/should have been, earlier today I resarted my PC and when it came back all my homemade mods were gone! :crybaby: This is the second time this has happened, has it ever happened to anyone else?

Are you running vista by any chance? With the game installed to the program files folder? If so, real possibility Vista stuff them in some compatibility folder.... don't recall the exact name, but, if the conditions are correct, you should try a search by name for you .esp files, and see if Vista isn't just hiding them.
