(REQ) Turning Statues Into Creatures

I have been thinking ( see the steam? ), was wondering if it would be possible to take the various beastial Princes statues and use a existing

skeleton and animations and make it into a creature. I'm talking of the daedric princes one just can't make using the npc skeleton etc.

I could quite envision Molag Bal using a Daedroth Skeleton and animations.

I personally lack the skill and knowhow of how to make it but maybe someone here could.

I have an idea that it's an easy but complex job, that might be possible. Here's a link for you: http://cs.elderscrol..._clean_skeleton

In the link the author describes how to copy a vanilla creature into Blender and use its skeleton for your new creature. My idea would be to use the Molag Bal statue nif in place of the sheep you make in the link. And the Daedroth skeleton. Of course then you'd have to retexture the new Molag Bal.

But I don't know if that would work. Just guessing. :D
