Collision or no collision?

Ok I have a few requests to make some objects for MW and I figured how to export from blender for this but I am unclear on the collision aspects.I`ve found MW doesn`t use Havok but how does this work in game for a player to acquire/move/equip an object (not a weapon object)?

Morrowind seems to make use of it's own collision, from what I can tell here, it seems to have a specific NiNode for collision info rather than a collision mesh.

Ok thanks IS.This is as ambiguous as the wiki but between them maybe I can get it.
