How well could this run Fallout?

Since you're looking at a budget card, you're probably not going to get the greatest performance, but I think the game should run at least on high settings at 1280x1024. But fair warning, you may get a lot of lag since there's a lot to render.

I would spend the extra $30-$40 and get the Radeon 5670 which would give it a much better performance boost.

I'm basically looking at the VGA performance chart for CoD: MW2 (which I think would run similarly) at The Guru of 3D. Just google it and you should be able to find the same review I'm looking at.

Well as that is your budget then you really wont find a better card for that money, even when compared to the ATI card's of the same spec that GT430 is defo cheaper and it is running nVidia's new fermi 400 archeticture and it's amazing (I know I have a GTX460). Also I dont like ATI so I'm a little biast

The GT430 will net you Nigh settings minus some eye candy at ~30FPS and any resolution you could possibly play at (Given you are after a budget card, I cant imagine that being over 1920x1080 (24") at most.

Source: Personally have an 8800GT (sitting in box now) which is a little better then that and I could run at near ultra at 1920x1080.
