No Music

My copy of Oblivion randomly stopped playing music.

The only music I hear is on the Bethesda intro thingy.

Music is enabled in my .ini, and I have the volume on. Only one mod adds custom music. And I currently only use OOO, "mystery mod", and Alternate Start by Ship.

If anything related to music almost entirely unmodded, and assuming the non-vanilla music is of the mp3 filetype; maybe the disk itself is damaged? I know this happened to a lot of my playstation 1 games, everything works, but the music will fizzle after a short while.

If the disk isn't damaged, I couldn't tell ya what might've happened or what to do, other than the usual routine; run vanilla & activate mods 1 by 1 to see what happens. :lmao:

How do I do that... :lmao:

Simply go to your My Games\Oblivion folder, find the oblivion.ini (will be described as "configuration settings") and rename, or delete it. The game will automagically create a new one when you fire it up again. It will also redetect your hardware... so, you will prolly have to reset you video preferences and such.

Something else I would like you to try, if you would be so kind..... Try playing the game in windowed mode, (if you can) and see if you get any new icons down in your system tray while the game is running.

I tried making a new .Ini, it didn't work.

Ran the game in windowed, no luck either. No other icons showed up.

try installing the klite basic codec pack. Make sure it is set to repair broken codecs, and also make sure that FFDShow is set to ignore oblivion, both audio, and video.

I already have the Klite Full pack installed.

Should I re-install it?
