It`s not that I don`t care but yeah I`m fine with sharing this. :pints: It`d be nice if one of our very fine texture artists would like to help out though. So far I`ve got really good results with a very low poly. I spend alot of time deleting unnecessary edges and verts, then rebuilding the faces for just that reason. :D

Ok folks, here`s what I`ve been up to.........

You can`t see it here but all the white keys are delineated in edit mode for texturing purposes. IS, there`s a bit more to it than just a simple wood tex. There are the keys and there will be some metal parts too...

Not yet I haven`t Ds...my lute was pretty detailed too and the family heirloom rocking horse I recreated for MyrMaad was just amazing to do...this is far from done. I think this is a good time to dupe a copy for the collision mesh........

Looking good for a untextured mesh.. Beinging a string player , but also knowing keys, you have done a pretty decent job so far. I notice the empty at the bottom for the foot keys. Reminds me of grandmas organ(not piano).

Yea, it's a bar playtoy of the past.... Don't see many like em anymore.

Right o Washington thanks. I tried to stay away from modifiers as much as possible on this because the polys can skyrocket and decimate can make texturing difficult. I did however make one , placed it then duped and moved on axis. Only the 36 black keys are individual. The 52 white ones are just loop cut but not seperated so that can be unwrapped as one rectangular unit. If someone wanted to aimate it it would be easy to go back and free them up.

I`m always listening for new ideas,hints and tips, and learn things everyday, so I appreciate your input here. :pints:

I find out those things somewhere and then I think how stupid I was doing everything manually. Stairs for example. I can make spiral stairs in no time now that I know of that array modifier. I just make two steps, UV them, collision, and then with that command make copies.
