Monthly visits

I was wondering if someone could help me with some NPC behaviour. The NPC in question has a daily schedule of sleeping, eating, reading etc. but once a month I want her to travel to the nearest city and spend a day in the mages guild. Now, I can see how I would set up that package, but how do I make it so that one day a month all the rest of her AI does not apply?

You could have those other packages set as "Current Location" so they could still apply. Unless you don't want her doing those things while at the Mage's Guild.

Select the date in the schedule tab in the AI window. Move this AI package to the very top of the list of AI packages for this NPC. You can then plan your NPC's behaviour that day by assigning different behaviour at different times of day; just remember to select that date too.

I've never tried this myself, but I once set up an NPC to go to the nearby castle and perform different tasks every saturday. The key is to have your AI packages at the top and they'll override everything that comes lower. The NPC will revert to the lower ones when the conditions for the top ones don't apply anymore. Test it and tell us how it goes!

Thanks guys, I'll give it a go. I never realised the AI packages were sorted by priority (actually I probably new that once, but AI isnt something I practise often)
