Bruin's a no show at the stables

Checked out the problem and I DO have the latest esp. But Bruin doesn't show at the stables. I have a save game right before I make agent and have tried different things. No joy. I even followed Bruin outside the gate and he just goes up and down around the walls of Sancre Tor. What's the solution to getting him back on track? Thanks in advance.
