I'm getting an odd CTD just south of Fort Magia between the Red Ring Road and the coast of Lake Rumare. I narrowed it down to Reclaiming Sancre Tor, but I'm not certain what it's conflicting with. With RST disabled the CTD goes away and with it activated CTD. I just started a new game because I was getting this on my previous play through and thought it was something else. My mod load order is reflected below. I've used BOSS to set the load order and made a new bash patch with RST active and still get the CTD. Right now I have it deactivated so I can play. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to playing through this expansion.

RST adds a camp and some quest NPCs in the location you describe. I did not have a crash there.

Might be a conflict.

If you crash upon entering a cell it could be one of Oblivion's save corruptions, maybe a spawn point form this mod.

The cure for a corrupted mod spawn point is a save game is little more complicated that just a clean reinstall of the mod (but fortunately is possible, unlike a corrupted vanilla spawn point, where the only solutions are to go to a save before the corruption occurred or start a new game).

After disabling the mod, you have to be in the cell when it resets/respawns to clear the corruption. In outdoor cells the typically occurs at midnight every 3rd day. So after disabling the triggering .esp, you go to the cell just before midnight each day and stay in the cell until it resets (either do that 3 days in a row, or do it one day at a time and then test reloading the mod). Make sure that you are NOT sleeping or waiting at each midnight. After that you can then reload the mod .esp

Another possibility could be some corruption in the AI of one of the mod's NPCs spawning there, in which case a clean reinstall should work.

It has to be a conflict of some kind. I tried what you said and waited several days in the area without a save (made sure I was running around the aread at 12 Midnight each day) and that didn't correct the problem. So I took the big step and uninstalled everything to do with TES4: Oblivion and then did a reboot. Ran CC Cleaner rebooted again and then reinstalled Oblivion with all my mods. After all of that, I'm right back to the same thing. Sadly I'm giving up for now, I'll wait for the next release and try it again. The only thing I didn't do was modify my ini per the readme.

That is still a long list of possible conflicts. Hopefully some who knows more than I (just about everyone here, that is) will have a look at this.

At this point I have turned off everything except for Oblivion.esm, Reclaiming Sancre Tor.esp, and turned on Alternate Start.esp. Restarted a new game and went to the area in question and still got a CTD! I'm truly baffled at this point. I'm hoping an Admin looks at this and drops me a line.

So I figured out the problem. I was using the v2.2 of TES4LODGen vice the newest experimental version v3.0.15, since I've had some issues with that particular version. I disabled everything except what I indicated above and it worked after running v3.0.15. I then gradually re-enabled everything else and it all worked after I ran v3.0.15 again. I did have to leave out the Valenwood and Elyswyer mods after i discovered these were the ones v3.0.15 didn't like.

Maybe its some sort of corruption in a data file (texture, mesh, sound). Have you tried a fresh download of RST?

I am suspecting Dark Rider has invested the bulk of his recent gaming quota to Skyrim. I believe he was on the beta testing of the Creation Set.

I am suspecting Dark Rider has invested the bulk of his recent gaming quota to Skyrim. I believe he was on the beta testing of the Creation Set.

I downloaded the full pack from this website and the multi part from Nexus. I've tried both. It's working now, so I'm not sweating it anymore. If Dark Rider happens to see this post, he can look and makre sure there isn't an issue. If not, no harm no foul.

For their diagnosis, when someone knowledgeble about the mod takes this up, post what quest/stage you were at in the RST main quest. This location, Tower badit Camp, in cell 15.10 is use for The Water Warrior Quest;

with the boss being spawned by stage 5

maybe approaching it earlier than that has something to do with the crash.
