You shouldn't use archiveinvalidationinvalidated any more. BSA Redirection is the best and easiest method now and can be set in your mod manager tools.

OBMM

For OBMM users:

  1. Start OBMM.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Select Archive invalidation. You'll get a popup window.
  4. Click BSA redirection (it's the default choice).
  5. Click Update Now.
  6. Close the Archive invalidation popup (click the red X in the upper-left corner).
  7. Quit OBMM or click Launch Oblivion.

Wrye Bash (Bain)

For Wrye Bash users:

  1. Start Wrye Bash.
  2. Go to Installers tab.
  3. Right-click the column header.
  4. Select "BSA Redirection"

Not true, if you do not use OBMM or Wrye Bash. I use archiveinvalidationinvalidated with no trouble and no thought about it no matter how much I change vanilla objects.

The "ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa" goes in your data folder.

In your My Documents folder, in My Games, edit the 'Oblivion.ini. file and look for: SArchiveList

Then add your archive invalidated BSA to that list: (I added it after the 'Oblivion - Meshes.bsa' entry.

SArchiveList=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa

In fact BSA Redirection (in OBMM and Wrye Bash) and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! (as a standalone tool) are the same, at least they use the same trick and by that work the same way. The only advantage of using OBMM is that it keeps track of things, so if the entry gets removed from the ini OBMM should write it back the next time you use it (same for Wrye Bash).

But which of the tools you are using in the end makes no difference at all on the process of Archive Invalidation.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I thought this should be mentioned.

No, actually this particular replacer is for Oblivion. And I'd managed to get it to show up by modifying Robert's Male to use the new texture. Thanks for the link, though.
