I still need to model the mouth, arms, legs and creepy hands on this, but my concept is pretty good I think. The eyelid was very challenging to model, but it was fun. I am not sure if this monster needs a eyebrow, but I think it's fitting, because you can't tell if it's mad or just plain crazy! lol

It's a CS shot of the fountain. This fountain will be fully functional with water jets coming out of it and many more things I have yet to revel about it. The water jets are going to be animated as well.

The water card back alt versions were soooo beautiful I couldn't make up my mind which one to use!

Some more info on recognizing the stats for each card in-game by range. This is very important as each monster will have not only different ways of attacking you, but you can get a clear picture of how close to be to capture the monsters and how to defeat them as well. Here is the Attack Range Ranking for all monsters in this mod:

Range S: This is close range attack and if a monster has an attack ranking of this means that they have to get in real close to actually do some decent damage to you.

Range F: This is also a close range of attack but you can take some decent damage if caught within it's perimeters.

Range A: This is semi mid-range attack. This attack ranking shows that you can get hit from a short-distance and can take a good amount of damage, Chances to dodge this rank of attack is about 50%.

Range B: This is the first mid-range attack. Normally projectiles and ranged magic are ranked with this rank. Shortbows are also used with this ranking too.

Range C: The second mid-range attack. Longbows and long range magic attacks are used with this rank. Chances of dodging this rank's attack is 10 - 15%.

Range D: This is the most deadly range of all. This rank is for monsters that generally like to attack from long-distance. To make up for the lack of range to see their targets at a good range, their attack is very slow, but whenever it does hit you, you'll take the most heavist damage of all. Every attack is almost impossible to recover from. All monsters with this attack rank are 100% accurate and at times nearly impossible to get away from.

Some more info on how to get better results on the battlefield with the monsters vs. their own element affinity:

Elemental Breakdown

Fire beats Wood but is weak against Water

Water beats Fire but is weak against Earth

Wood beats Earth but is weak against Fire

Earth beats Water but is weak against Wood

Air beats Fire but is weak against Water

Light and Dark attract each other, but Dark is severely weaken after the first blow of a monster that has Light as it's main affinity.

Neutral is unaffected by any element unless the card's stats over-power the Neutral Card's stats.

Card Bio: The Hand of Wrath follows the caster around to enhance all Fire-type monsters on the battlefield by 30% and weakens Wood-type monsters by 50%. This monster does not attack.

Monster Bio: A hand resembling the blazing flames of an infernal flame storm, the Hand of Wrath wanders around aimlessly in the fiery chasms of the Realm of Fire.

Here are some early animations that I did for the Power Up Gems for this mod. I will tweak it if need be but I am torn on if I should have the first animation on it or the second one shown in these mini-clips. I will tweak the textures later on.

Here she is at last all of my hard work on this level is near completion! This clip features the warping pathway leading up to the Temple of the Elders. The level is 50% complete as far as design is concerned, and 45% done as far a actual gameplay footage.

I hope you enjoy this little video I made as it was fun to make it. biggrin.png

Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention that the music playing in the background is actually the music that is going to play throughout the entire level.

A new quest!

Red Fairy Spirits:

There are several red fairy spirits scattered throughout the realm of Akihiron that once was a part of a part of a huge amount of energy that was broken. These little fairies once collected, will help restore the balance to all human emotions. These little fairies are strangely attracted to you once they see you. Talking to them will give you clues about your surroundings, items that have to be activated, or just there for conversation. Release these red fairy spirits back to their primordial core inside the Fairy Temple to receive something REALLY special!

Other Fairies in Akihiron:

Blue Fairy

These little fairies appear shortly after you have battled an enemy. Catching these fairies will yield many useful things. Blue fairies can restore a card used in battle back to your deck or give you some health or restore your current magicka. But be aware, not everything that glitters isn't always gold....

Forest Fairies

These fairies are only native to the Elven Glade and Forest of Time. There are green to greenish-yellow and can help you travel from one point to another in the Forest of Time's Temple if you talk to them.

Still working on this mod while trying to play EverQuest II. Ugh! The game is sooooooooooo good that I can't take a break from playing it. lol

In the pic with the blue hanging flowers, I tried to get a close up on the texture but wasn't tall enough to get the shot lol. I also showed off some of the bench's detail of texture. It's still not quite finished yet, but I am almost done with that platform. I have two more platforms to work on, then I will be showing part two of the the outskirts of the Temple of the Elders. Then I will start on the interior of the actual temple where alot goes on. wink.png

The Plane of Athetherium is a gateway to all of the other realms in House of Cards. You begin in this realm, for the main quest of the mod.

I still have things to add to this, but it is 75% done so far. The things that I need to add are some special fx that will make this realm come to life a lil more. Vid will be coming soon.

An enchanted stump I created. For the past several weeks I have been working on trying to improve my texturing abilities. So far, this is one of my results. I did an excellent job on the glow map for the Enchanted Dew. But....my bump mapping skills will improve in time. For now....I have to learn how to create better Spectacular Maps. wink.png

I need to know if my bump mapping is showing up on the bark of the stump for those who are texture fanatics and experts.

A little preview of the landscape mesh I am currently working on:

I have to go back a do a little smoothing to make the falloff a little better for traveling over it, but so far it's coming along very slowly. I should've edited it at this size instead of 6 times less than it size it was originally at. So smoothing and shaping is next before I can export this into pieces for the CS.

New Tree!

I got the idea from the real life version of the beautiful Travelers Palm tree. It has a very exotic look to it and would go very well in my mod House of Cards. This palm tree can only be seen in the Elven Glade at the entrance of the Sacred Grove lvl. I am very proud of this tree as it was hell to make, but it makes me feel so accomplished that I was able to model after a truly unique tree and the part it plays in nature. Here is what the real Travelers Palm Tree looks like:

Doing some landscape editing today. Hopefully I can get the fall off to be just right, so that when this gets textured it will look seamless. Got an idea on how to do that in Gimp as well. It'll be a first for me as I attempt to create land meshes to look something like as if it were done in the CS.

Still working on the landscape mesh. I've finished the first tier( above where the waterfall begins) and now am slowly working my way down to the area where the cave begins. I already started doing the Goddess of Creation's voice as I have previously uploaded. That is just a simple greeting. I will be doing alot of the voice acting for each encounter that you come across in this mod.

The Goddess of Creation will guide you through your journey up until you meet a retired Grandmaster Summoner of the Cards. You have to relay the Goddess of Creation's message to him. From then he will help you out in many ways. He is the one sells you the cards you need to battle the monsters that you encounter along the way. He also will give you side quests (this is just something to give you more exp. on your cards so that you can craft new ones) those side quests will only be unlocked once you have completed certain missions. Also the lvls that you can repeat at anytime are some[\i] of the side quests.

Some of the side quests will be the type where you have to defeat a mini-boss in order to get that item. Another type of side quest that is not personal for him, but it does yield bountiful rewards are the Endurance quests. In all there will be 3.

The first one that you go thru will have alot of chests containing capture cards. Grab these because you will need for later on in the mod. The level layout for the endurance will be the same as any other lvl within this mod, only the chance for monsters will be increased. At the beginning of the lvl, you will talk to your mentor about what happened to the town and he will give you an item if you manage to save that lvl from the evil that plagues it. Key to surviving the endurance rounds is to bring as many regeneration and restoration cards with you. I don't call it "endurance" for nothing....

While going thru any of the three endurance lvls, you will encounter the ever so rare elements, dark, neutral and light monsters. So use your own cards as well to tame these beasts of pure darkness....

Last but not least, you will have to either capture or win a boss battle to gain access to another series of secret lvls that can earn you some ultra-rare cards! The secret series of lvls needs to opened by a very special card that is not as rare, but hard to come across. This card is the key to opening the Trial of The Elders. But the main key to opening each gateway to each of the secret lvls you have to open each realm in a certain order. Once you open it in the right order, then you would have gained all of the special cards needed to aid you in your journeys to stopping evil itself. (trying not to give away much of the plot of this mod, but it's kinda hard not to.)

This mod will have a unique way of interacting with the NPC's in this mod. Instead of using the normal dialogue as if you were to access it in MW, instead, I will be using message boxes to get the actor (NPC) to speak using my voice overs. In fact, the NPC's will be activators that you talk to anytime. I'll post more about this once I get everything sorted out in my head. biggrin.png
