Hail Patrons, Scholars, VIPs, and Allies!

You may have paid a visit or several to TESA yesterday and found yourself greeted by a Forbidden error. Rest assured no one was banned yesterday.

We are continuing to have stability issues with our shared server. We don't control our server, the host does. They determine the limits and harnesses put on each site on the server to maintain stability.

Basic HTML sites can easily be packed like sardines on a server and never have issues, but TESA is a big fish in our sardine can. So whenever the can gets to rocking, the host shuts TESA down because its one unhappy client instead of hundreds.

This has only become an issue this last year, likely our server is pretty full now so TESA has zero wiggle room.

It takes me five minutes to manually clear caches and disable busy features to get below the host's activity requirement but once they pull us down their turn around time has been really slow, and we end up down all day waiting for them to flip a switch.

We are looking for alternate hosting solutions to put an end to this issue. The features that are missing today are only temporarily disabled. They will be back. Sorry for any inconvenience, we'll do our best to expedite solutions.

Thank you for the explaination Rider. I didn`t realize that there were that many other sites hosted on the same server we use. I more fully understand now.

A server costs an ISP money, no matter how light or heavy the activity on it is. So I'm not surprised that TESA's ISP crams as many different websites as possible onto one server: an empty server is a server that's not making money.

Good luck on the search, DR. I know you can get dedicated servers, but they're very expensive.

Ah so it was THEIR space hamster! (for those confused, shouty conversation yesterday lol)

Hopefully you can find someone better for the TESA, you deserve it!
