Room Rental

Hello. I'm looking for the room-rental dialog with an eye to adding more options. For instance, I'd like to give players the choice of renting a room for a week.

You might try looking in your game at how they have set up room rentals and the dialog that goes with it.

The dialog is in the RentRoomBranch of the DialogueGeneric quest. You might need to modify the DialogGenericScript attached to that quest if you're going to need new properties for what you want to do. This script contains the rental length and cost properties. You might also need to modify the RentRoomScript that is attached to NPC actors in the JobRentRoomFaction, because that script handles taking the gold, changing the ownership of the bed, and resetting the ownership after the rental period expires.

I'd say a discount for paying for a week in advance is appropriate.

   I have successfully added room rentals for a Proudspire home that I co-furbished.  You go to the castle and ask to purchase a basement.

Oh drat!  I am way to spacey these days.  Sigh.....      I have created dialogue for purchasing new rooms and purchasing decorations for new rooms.  Not 'renting'.

I will still try to assist, I was reading your topic and thinking something else; sorry.
