Advice for making modular interior assets

Is there any advice or tips for making a new cave mesh set?  

 

I have the general idea, but when i tried this before, i had problem matching the scale of the original cave sizes.

 

in other words, when i make mid ceiling, walls, corner ins, corner outs, etc, 

 

it was challenging to think about how the textures could be different and yet all being seamless.

 

Also making the meshes fit together and yet being different.
