Building dialogue trees in quests

 Share

Recommended Posts

I'm currently working on a stand-alone follower for Skyrim, using existing vanilla sources to patch together a quest that will turn the NPC into a follower. I managed to hash out a series of dialogue trees, but I'm running into a problem - the CK limits the player's dialog prompts to a very slim 80 characters, which makes working with an already hampered dialogue tree even more difficult. What methods could I use to circumvent the 80 character limit? If you've made dialogue trees for quests before, what methods did you use to deal with the 80-character limit on player dialogue prompts?

Well, that's exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to find out about! Granted, in the meantime I did have a moment of clear and hacked out a couple good dialog trees within the 80 character-per-line limit all the same, but this will be good to know in the future.
