Why won't my clutter act right?

I am working on my first mod, which will involve having craftable in-game doughnuts using the wonderful meshes provided by InsanitySorrow, and I am running into a bit of an issue... the nifs are using the collision for a cheese wheel which is over double its size, and therefore doesn't act right in game. When I scale down the collision it impacts correctly with things, but then it sometimes doesn't fall if let go of in mid-air, and other times it will roll around and settle at an angle instead of on a flat side. I have even taken the numerical information for Bread01B such as mass, but it doesn't act right.

Does anyone know what I am dong wrong?
