An ancient prophecy unearthed within an ancient tome that has been lost since the Age of the Ayleid Empire, spoke of the Signs of the Times that would herald the end of the Cyrodiil. After a comet in the sky, a great earthquake high in the Jerral Mountains and rumors of a great ancient Evil awakening, storm clouds would sweep over all the realm to the South and relentless snow storms to the North. Just a year after the last Oblivion gate was closed, a new crisis that even would drive the fearless Dremora back into their dismal planes of existence, would steal away the very peace of the dead to feed upon the living.
