  1. Indeed, sounds great! I am definetly looking forward to playing!
  2. OBSE is a powerful modders tool. However it can be quite complicated. What it does: OBSE gives many powerful script commands to the CS, and allows Oblivion to understand the command and act appropriately. Keep in mind that OBSE is optional, many mods do not use it in fact, but I highly recommend it, even if you aren't planning on being a scripter, the ability for Oblivion to understand the powerful new commands that can be found in many powerful mods. First, install OBSE http://obse.silverlock.org/ The download includes a readme with installation instructions, but I will give a brief overview. Open the readme, and extract all the files it lists to the Oblivion directory. Make sure you do not extract them to the Data directory. One of the files it tells you to extract is the obse_loader. This starts up Oblivion normally, except now it can use scripts that are used in many of the best MODS. Now we need to create a shortcut to the OBSE loader. This can be done by right-clicking the icon and selecting 'create shortcut'. An identical file should appear. Right click the new file and select properties. In the General Tab, you can change the name of the shortcut to whatever you want. For instance, Oblivion, or OBSE Oblivion. Now click on the 'shortcut' tab. On the very bottom should be a link that says 'Change Icon.' Click this, and navigate your way to the Oblivion directory. Once there, find and select 'Oblivion Launcher' then choose the Icon you wish to use. Next, move the shortcut to your desktop, and move the standard Oblivion one back to your Oblivion directory, or you could simply delete it. Congratulations! You have successfully installed OBSE! Simply double-click the shortcut to play! Now to install the OBSE Construction Set. Right-Click the CS shortcut, and then choose the shortcut tab. Delete everything after the word 'Oblivion/' and then type in the following. obse_loader.exe -editor Be sure to include the quotation mark. Now you're finished. If you don't already have Oblivion Mod Manager, walk on over to Tesnexus and download it. With OBMM you can change your load order, and use mods that are compressed in an OMOD format. {Edited By DarkRider} For Easy Launching of OBSE use the OBSE Launcher
  3. I'll post an in-progress guide to installing OBSE later today. In-Progress because no images yet O.o Looks great and I look forward to final-ish release!
  4. Looks good to me and I could always do interior pathing!
  5. Off-hand staff is a staff that is a "shield." That way you can dual wield. And the reason is mostly to give depth to staffs, and give mages another somethin' to pursue, since swords n' armor arn't exactly their main concern.
  6. Towards the west end of the circle not in the center. That way it isn't too close to anything.
  7. Looks good to me! Maybe a bit farther west though!
  8. An oddly formed rock in the middle of a lake perhaps??
  9. An ambassador is a Diviner from Beth's Forums, if I remember correctly.
  10. Welcome and hope you have a nice stay! There aren't toooo many many monsters that want to eat you here.
  11. Well I just started trying to figure out how to use Blender, but I ran into a slight problem. The line thingy isn't appearing when I grab on face of the square and extract it two units, giving the appearance of two cubes stuck together. Any way to fix that? I'm pretty sure that I must have accidentally hit a hot key and selected something on accident. Any help would be great, I'm pulling my hair out over here
  12. Quote Hi there!!! Nice to have you with us!!We hope you enjoy your stay. What he said!
  13. That seems like the only way to do it, unless it is possible to do something like that via script...
  14. Just make a new staff with sword meshes/textures...right? So do you approve of the idea or not Red? And how did you get that to work on the sword?
  15. There is a mod that I just started using. Let me see if I can find it... ...here it is Weapon Magic by Ryuujin-0
  16. Hello Anybody have any ideas for a Staff Overhaul? I'm sorta kinda working on one already, and features that I have finished or am going to include are.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New Custom Staffs (have two already, one I am probably just going to get rid of, and the other needs texture work) Quests for the more powerful Staffs All Staffs in the Off-Hand, as a Shield, with a Torch variant! Go Dual-Wielding! When a staff is equipped, it gives the player certain new spells that correspond with what the Staff was made for. (Simple Script, so "finished") Completely Custom Spells with new animations (Maybe) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I said, I am sorta working on this, but I'd like some input. And perhaps maybe volunteers for custom Staffs, spell animations, and Quests (two people are better then one!) while I learn my way through blender. Idea originally occurred from a post on Tesnexus, that made me realize how much I hated how Staffs in the Elder Scrolls series played such a minimal role in a Mages life.
  17. Ok, I'll fix the typo now! Glad you like it, since it is my first video made with Movie Maker.
  18. Odd, but ok, I'll have a look in the CS for some "editable" stuff.
  19. Well, I'm uploading it to youtube so you can add it to the Long Description if you want. The blow to quality shouldn't be to bad. Now I just have to wait for youtube to finish "processing."
