Yeah, a friend of mine from college did the rigging for Sintel. Apparently he's one of the two riggers that Blender employs. I was amazed. Just look for it in the credits: Nathan Vegdahl.

It probably has to do with the DLC. I think I purchased the DLC that would've come with the GOTY edition anyway, so I guess it counts.

No, at least, I don't believe I do. I vaguely remember downloading the DLC separately. Under properties, it doesn't say GOTY or Game of the Year DLC like my version of Oblivion does. EDIT: I confirmed that I got the normal edition and purchased 3 DLC items two weeks afterward.

Hehe, Turkey Day for me isn't until next month, but Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians!

I think water travel is still viable in FO3 although that's merely speculation on my part. I know Rivet City is no longer a sea-going vessel, and the ferry to Point Lookout is definitely not for oceanic travel, but it seems if those things can stay mostly in tact, then someone with resources (like Tenpenny) would be able to travel. Not to mention that aliens seem to have arrived. Maybe they were transplanted via abduction!

I've been looking into upgrading to a Radeon HD5850 or 5870 depending upon how much prices go down for the holidays, and how much money I can save up until then (after paying off my tuition on my credit card). It will probably be the last thing I upgrade though since my 4870 is still alive and kicking somehow. Had to replace the VGA cooler on it.

I only have one special edition guide, and that's for Resident Evil 5. I have a fangirl crush on Wesker, and I was hoping for more art.

I happen to like extras DVDs or "Making of..." content (figurines are nice too). I only get CEs of games I would like to have the extra content for. I have the two Mass Effect games as collector's editions, and while there were no big items of note (like my Resistance 2's figurine, FO3's Bobblehead, or even Alan Wake's case that looks like a book) they both had hardbound art books and bonus DVDs. I try to stay away from "Legendary" editions because of the ridiculous price tag and often shoddy extras (Halo 3's infamous "cat helmet"). The only one that had ever tempted me was the Call of Duty game that game with the working night vision goggles, but I still didn't bite. I too have Fallout: New Vegas CE on pre-order mostly because I have FO3 CE, and I like to collect sets. I suppose I can give my opinion on that shortly as well.

Hmmm... most of what I would suggest has already been stated here (mainly Neverwinter Nights + the three expansions). Have you tried Beyond Good and Evil? It's gameplay is more along the lines of the N64 Zelda games, but it's one of my favorites. If you're into point and click adventure games, the Penumbra series (from the makers of the recently released Amnesia which is *scary*) is pretty good, and it doesn't ask a lot from your hardware.

Anyone play Minecraft? If not, don't. You will never see the light of day! lol

Yeah, LCDs can have images burned in. They're more prominent in plasma screens (TVs), though. I usually just turn off my monitor when I'm not using it for a period of time rather than using a screensaver. If I forget to turn off the monitor, it sleeps after fifteen minutes or so. Sorry to hear about your screen. That is pretty lame.

I rather enjoy seeing a group live especially when they are great performers. There's just something about it that makes the whole music experience all the better. Not to mention they get supported more by having fans going to concerts and buying swag than by music purchases.
