  1. I've been getting error messages every once in awhile in every session from the CS. So far, I haven't seen any issues arising from them, so I've mostly just ignored them. But I thought that maybe, just maybe, somebody who knows more about the CS than I will tell me that I've only got 3 more days to live or something. The most common one says something about the Model loader still having Nif files. It doesn't seem to follow any pattern in which files it still has in the loader, though. The more consistent error message has something to do with oars. I can't remember exactly what it says, but it has something to do with them being old rigid bodies (like a corpse!). The third is that the CS has thrown a fit whenever it comes time to do an auto-save. I've hopefully fixed that problem (it said that the file path was bad, so I created a backup folder in the data folder to finish the path), but I just wanted to be sure. EDIT: Uh-oh, something bad happened. Now, when I load the game, my character moves in slo-mo. This doesn't affect NPC's at all, and I can still jump and turn around at normal speeds, but moving in any direction is next to impossible.
  2. Alright, thanks for the carpeting advice. Let's see how you like the new pathing.
  3. I should be more careful; my inexperience was showing Very good, I shall fix those nasty carpets forthwith.
  4. Awesome! I suspected it *had* to be in there somewhere Good thing to know that I should've used Find Text. Alphabetical is nice and all, but only if you know what you're looking for
  5. Hi, I was working on tutorial #3 and I realized that I would've liked a certain shortcut, which hopefully already exists. Here's the nub of the issue: I would like to take an existing object's coordinates and replace it with another object or simply lay the second object on top of the first. I realize that I can copy and paste the x, y, z coordinates one at a time, but I'm hoping for something a little less tedious. One can only hope, eh? Oh, I don't know if this is related, but I can't get the Edit-->Find function to work. Is it because I've got something in the Render Window?
  6. People have been looking for me? Huh. Well, I only discovered this site today.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

  7. Wow, the perfect answer when I was getting frustrated I knew from the CS basics tutorial that I needed to set the first piece to 0, 0, 0, but I didn't realize that the angle mattered too. I was getting really frustrated, adjusting each section of fence by hand so that the angles more or less matched up. Then I finished reading thruogh the lesson and found this gem. Thank you!
  8. Wow, you're good. How could you tell whether they're floating or not? Is it just because they're sticking out too far?
  9. I hope that it's alright that I just rushed ahead to chapter two... Anyway, I fixed up the lights. If you would look over the path grids, that would be great. I wasn't sure if there was enough room to maneuver in the dining hall. I imagine that the NPC's need about as much space as one of those nodes? The bookcase My front door Custom chests, apparatuses, wine and finally, my walk ways EDIT: I just saw your comments on chapter one. Thanks! And thank you for taking the time to look through all these people's pictures, working on such awesome tutorials, and all the other hard work you've done. On the topic of carpets, I agree they kinda stand out in a bad way. I wanted carpets that would cover the entire floor, though. Do you know of a carpet that would fit the bill?
  10. Whoops. I figured out how to save it. The CS doesn't save the screenshot the way that Oblivion does; it just allows you to take a screen capture. My house in the CS
  11. Oh, it's not too late to join? Cool. I just started, myself. First post, first mod, etc. I don't know about anybody else, but I found it easier to adjust things' positions by changing the numbers on their position than using the mouse. Maybe it's because my screen is ginormous? The only issue I had with doing it "by the numbers" was that you can't group them and move them AFAIK. I apparently really have no idea what the spaces in the house are normally used for; I put the bed in the little alcove to the left of the fireplace and the table tucked into the corner (to the right of the half-wall division). It's a tight squeeze, I've got a lot of carpeting, though I think I used the wrong ones--the red and gold ones said Bravil carpets, and the Burgundy are Bruma carpets, I think. Let's see, my screen is darker than most, so I think the lighting is about right, but it's hard to judge. I could probably use an extra light for the hallway leading to my table. It made the carpets seem to blend in better that way, though Oh, yeah, I'd already started setting the table. Hope that's not an issue. I assume you'd like to see the place in the construction set, yes? I'm not sure how to do that. I changed the .ini in the construction set, but now I can't find it. I also didn't get a message that a screenshot was saved
