The sun was setting on the sea

The moon was riding high

The Goblins stalked furiously

Very nearby

I pulled my cloak about me close

And crept toward the hill

Shadows colluded with my foes

My breath became quite still

I've never been a fighting man

-A delicate soul and meek-

My reverie was broke just then

As this I heard them shriek

"Rapscallions seek to steal our gold

Short on life and breath

Take care to call on Gods of old

Tonight will hail your death!"

Terror gripped me in its fist

My legs turned into stones

Certainly sucks the air out of mine: haha. my rhyme scheme is unusual and hidden meanings abound. Probably not the best introduction.

My cat is crazy.

He looks at me through huge pools of sea-water

questioning, then reproachful, glares.

He loves the smell of bleach.

and hates when I read the paper, (he lays on it).

He has the most angelic smile, and sharp claws.

Not much for coddling, or batting balls,

he'd rather chew his 'people doll' or sit

watching at the window for birds just out of reach.

He loses to the fish a battle of stares

(through eyes like huge pools of sea-water).

My cat is crazy.

wading in, forgetting all sad affairs;

befuddled and with malapropos speech

disordered thoughts, like birds they fly and flit

a mind made of a featherbrained flock of gulls

[HGEC female body replacer texture issue]

well, what i have noticed when i load up the game is that the claws and tail spikes remain, which they shouldnt, because i have all other mods off. on this last upload, her headset reappeared, which is also odd since that mod was off as well. im gona try another save and see what happens.

EDIT: loading an earlier save before i used showracemenu didnt seem to change anything...

Be sure to ALSO start a NEW GAME, just as a precautionary check. You should always do this as a habit when troubleshooting.

Ok, gonna seem like a silly question and I am not questioning your intellegence but you remember to deactivate Roberts right? HGEC SHOULD load up with no issues what so ever.

ok, heres the scoop. i recently tried to change from Roberts tweaked body to HGEC female body replacer. i had replaced the lowerbody mesh in the _male file so use a dif body mesh for the female body lower body, and thought this was the issue. I deleted the meshes folder and replaced the meshes for HGEC body, but nothing happened. i also deactivated all mods and OMODS, as well as deleting the textures folder with no luck. the 'nilla body works fine, but i have no clue what my problem is. im basically running the mod off of vanilla Oblivion, w/ the body replacer being the only running mod.

i have tried both the omod version and the non omod version. the non omod version has no esp.

Is the name of the mod you downloaded (the same from the link that WhoGuru posted that linked back to Beth's forum) EVE HGEC Eyecandy Variants Expansion

Because if so, you still need the the actual body and the body textures, that mod is only the stock clothing and armor EXPANSION. It does not include Bodies or Body Textures.

Even though all the tutorials say that UV mapping is hard, I found it to be extremely simple. But why would you want to redo a UV map?

Should be pretty simple depending on what you want to do. Check out Vince's lessons in the Modelling class. That will give you all the basics you need for setting up blender an using the UV Map interface and exporter. You can skip making the object (unless you're interested modelling rocks :-) ) and just pick up at the UV mapping stage. Are you sure you need to remap it, you're not just retexturing are you?

3. Last time I checked Kyoma was trying to do this with new OBSE functions that were coming out. Not sure if the right functions have come out for him to put what you write into a book yet

Thanks! I shouldn't be surprised. Kyoma is one of those modders that seems to read my mind, I love that!

2. You can track the books the player has with OBSE, and even print the names and such out into a text file with pluggy.

Wait, that's a mod? or? I have OBSE and pluggy, always try to keep them up to date.

I'm not very comfortable with scripting yet, so I will have to peck at this, but it helps and I will keep you posted on my progress.

For today, I have 2 questions. By the way, if the answer is posted somewhere, here or "out there" please feel free to simply link to the answer. I'm thinking surely I'm not the only wouldbe modder with questions and it would be helpful to have the resolution at hand. I hope that's ok. If it works out here, I surely would make an effort to support the site. I'm not working, I'm a fulltime student and my living is fully subsidized my generous, supportive, and loving husband. But I invested in TesNexus and ORE when I could afford it.

Ok for today's questions:

1. How difficult is it to completely redo an existing mesh's UV Map in Blender, and is there another or a better way, that doesn't involve 3DSMax or a lot of money? Any link to the answer or a relevant discussion is of course welcome.

2. For book collectors, I thought it would be good to have a spreadsheet of all the books in morrowind, I have a list of them, so that's not the problem. The real question is whether it would be feasible to make a mod that tracks your collection of books, and I would be interested in an existing mod that might do this, and also would like to be able to do it in both Morrowind and Oblivion. I have the Morrowind Public Library mod, and I also like to add lots of mod books. So it would be interesting to incorporate non-vanilla books into the mod, that part would not have to be "automatic" though, probably best if it weren't. Just the ability to add to the collection.

3. I have always thought it would be great if my character could role play being a writer by sitting down at a desk and having an interface similar to the enchanting screen, to create a physical book. I've played with Kyoma's journal mod, and it is helpful, I'm just wondering if it could go further, by actually binding the book and publishing it, ingame.

These last two are just kind of stupid ideas, but I'd love some thoughts on whether it would be feasible, I think that with the script extenders nearly anything is possible. And that was 3!

You'd be surprised but I think my house is neat there. I always like a blankie on the couch, and that was my favorite until I wore it out. Then the essentials are there, books, laptop, phone, and my wacom tablet. If you really wanted to be scared I'd post a pic of my office!
