  1. Funny thing, I've been planning to design a werewolf companion mod, coincidentally similar to Orthym, save for the obvious, complete with the ability to speak as well. Let's see what Orthyn turns out to be - the minotaur will certainly be a more distinct mod than your typical weapon/armor mod.
  2. Quote True but deleting the instance and replacing it (or hitting F5) is a LOT faster than reloading the CS. WT You can refresh the CS as you can a web-page?
  3. Quote If you change the texture, delete the creature from the world, then place it again. I think that usually 'reloads' the texture for the creature again. As long as you don't have any of them placed elsewhere, that is. You should rarely, if ever, need to do this. The Construction Set will very regularly fail to take note of recent texture or mesh changes if I'm making more than 4 or 5 changes. Re-loading the CS is how I fix this.
  4. Rebbecca woke, shocked to see how late in the day it was, then arose, and ensuring that neither Vnuku nor anyone else had seen her. Rebbecca found that Vnuku was nowhere to be seen, however, and turned her attention to this mysterious inn, wondering who could possibly be singing and talking in there. As Rebbecca went to the front of the inn, she looked through the windows, which had been darkened by the sun's glare, and found a motley crew who resided within this enormous inn. The residents and visitors talked and laughed, which made the inn a welcoming sight to Rebbecca as she went around the building, searching for the entrance. When Rebbecca saw the door to the inn, she at first extended her left arm out to open the door, but stopped when she heard the whinny of a horse. Rebbecca looked behind her, and saw that there was a stable nearby the inn, complete with horses resting in it as well – she saw a brindle horse intently looking at her. Her attention for the horse was short lived, however, and returned to opening the door of the immense inn – Rebbecca went inside, and explored the inn rather aimlessly, still surprised to see how large it was. She then noticed the motley crew who seemed to be the center of attention here, and asked the enormous Nord whom she happened to be standing next to “Excuse my interruption, but – would you by any chance know the name of this inn, and how much it costs to receive a room?”
  5. Quote Well, for starters, I'm not positive mind you but I think the Better Cities Full.esp needs to be higher in the load order, above the other better cities plug-ins. And does anyone know if the Bashed Patch should be near the bottom like that? I've never used WryeBash, so maybe a silly question. :blush:I use OBMM and it sorts the Better Cities full esp near the top of my load order every time, which is why I ask. Bashed Patch is somewhat of an 'empty' plug-in, so load order may not be important.
  6. A girl ran about through Kvatch Country in the night, attempting to keep herself concealed in the tall grass, once again evading an assassin with whom she had a long lasting, violent, and deeply personal feud with. They both had the fortune of a powerful night eye potion this, and both used their hard-earned reward potion to best each other in this dark chase. The girl, however, was in no mood for another night of having to confront this assassin personally, and did her best to keep a healthy distance between him and herself for as long as possible in anyway possible. Her first course of action was to fall, and conceal herself in the grass – her gray clothing made her invisible to the assassin, and the assassin's red robes made him all too obvious to the girl, to her convenience. The assassin stopped moving when the girl went out of sight, and patiently waited for movement to occur in the grass, knowing that was where the teenager would be hiding. The girl was not, however, unprepared for this ambush tactic, and shot an arrow to the east, waiting to see if the assassin would be fooled. He was not, however, and crept through the grass, watching to see if the girl would make a mistake of some sort, now ready to defend himself if the girl aimed her bow at him. As he slowly crept to where he guessed the girl had gone, he wondered why exactly the girl seemed to fastidiously avoid any bloodshed, always preferring to distract rather than kill her foes. The girl tripped over a rock, and the assassin then once again pursued her, and knew she would have no way of disappearing into the grass now. The teenager jumped over the rocks gracefully, attempting to lose the assassin by traversing the paths that favored the agile, and impaired the less acrobatic. She saw that the assassin was no bum, and had failed to widen the distance between herself and the assassin, unsure of what she would do now to avoid him. The girl noticed an inn that she had never seen before, however, and shifted directions to this inn, hoping that someone would notice and assist her. This inn was a long distance away, however, and she only saw it when she was on an elevated hill - the girl was unsure of how long it would take to travel the the mysterious inn, as the grass kept the inn hidden. She wasn't going to try to hide a second time, however, and decided seeking the inn was worth the risk, even in spite of the distance between it and herself, though was tripped by the assassin, and violently attacked. He was quickly kicked off of the girl, but continued to pursue her throughout Kvatch Country, having decided that he wanted her dead because of the past events involving himself and the girl. The teenager looked back, checking the distance between herself and the assassin, and saw that he was several steps behind her – she knew that he certainly wouldn't be able to catch her off guard now. The girl was shocked to see that she was now directly behind the inn when she turned her eyes away from the assassin, and searched for any windows or doors that she could use as an emergency entrance. She saw nothing, however, and turned to search elsewhere for an entrance, only to find the assassin in front of her, ready to lunge at her at any moment. The assassin spoke first while drawing his dagger “There are no more hiding holes for you, Rebbecca, speak now, or forever hold your peace.” When Rebbecca unsheathed her Axe and shield, she told the assassin “Why do you choose not to leave our feuding in the past, Vnuku?” Vnuku lunged, swinging his dagger at Rebbecca, but missed, while narrowly avoiding Rebbecca's sharpened Axe, which she swung slowly, to see just how quickly Vnuku would react to her weaponry. While circling Rebbecca, Vnuku told her “You are wary – why do you resist the urge to lash out, Rebbecca?” Rebbecca ignored his words, and backed away from Vnuku and the inn, ready to flee and hide in the grassland a second time if needed, as she realized nobody heard her, if anyone was there in the first place. Vnuku lunged at her once more, and Rebbecca dodged him a second time, swinging her Axe at Vnuku shortly afterwards, leaving a wound on the side of his left arm. He yelled, then looked at the gash in his arm for a moment, and said “Alright, you win Rebbecca, we'll settle this later.” He quickly ran off into the night, and Rebbecca sighed in relief, then sat down and rested on the wall of the inn, asking herself “Why don't you give it up, Vnuku?” Rebbecca decided that her feud would be for another time, however, and readied herself for sleep, though was distracted by her thoughts related to Vnuku, still unnerved about it all. Shortly after a yawn, and after she closed her eyes, Rebbecca told herself “Maybe I will resolve our dispute in time... or maybe even, Vnuku will finally give up the feud.”
  7. Be prepared for a bit of confusion if you don't bother to read up or pester someone for info on how to properly load up mods.
  8. Quote Hey all, I'm wondering if there's a way to tweak a mod that I've got running on my game to show necklaces and amulets through the chest pieces it adds. I know there is a way to do this with Wrye Bash, but (I guess I have to admit this) I run OBMM and am not sure I can run both. Is that possible? Either way, I'd rather have the ability to pick and chose which chest pieces that show them, rather than making it a default (however, I will accept defeat and use such as a secondary option, if I can't figure it out). I'm guessing there's a tweak that I can do to make this possible.. maybe? also: I'm more than a noob at actually modding things.. as in I JUST added music to my game and consider that a step towards modding from what I know otherwise. See here - http://www.elderscro...s_utilities.htm Look for 'TES CONSTRUCTION SET v1.2.404', and download the installer. That is the key tool to modding. Edit: Wrye Bash is a Python Language program - OBMM uses something contained in the program itself, they can co-exist together. My next post will go into fine detail about what you seek.
  9. Xfire User: relaxandplay (Nickname: Relax and Play) In 'Guild Wars' (MMORPG) my main character is 'Berk Avci' Don't have anything else.
  10. I kill it dead... With the all powerful .ini modification!
  11. Profile Name: Rebbecca. Race: Half Breed. 'Half Breeds' in this case are the pairing of Imperials and Bosmer. It is her parents' odd pairing that grants Rebbecca the phenomenon of Heterosis. Birthsign: The Thief. Class: Explorer. The 'Explorer' profession was designed by ex-thieves, assassins, agents, and other 'shady' folk, as a woodsman version of their former careers. Uses Alchemy, Marksman, Blunt, Sneak, Light Armor, Acrobatics, and Block in-game. Equipment: Slightly blue shirt, gray pants, brown shoes, leather shield. Jewelry: Two copper rings, and a jeweled copper amulet. Weaponry: iron axe, iron bow, iron arrows. Magic: Heterosis. 75% resistance to disease and poison. Notes about her items: In-game, Rebbecca's 'clothing' is technically considered light armor. Her shield and 'armor' all have a base armor value of 9. Her weaponry all have a damage value of 24 (the bow and arrows do 24 damage on their own, when combined together they do 48 damage.) None of her items are currently enchanted. Pictures Rebbecca's entire body in one picture. Her face.
  12. Hmm - still confused as to how to create the special path nodes. >_
  13. Alright then. Maybe now I can get my crabs to walk to and from home and work properly!
  14. There aren't any priority path nodes that are near the crab's paths, fortunately. I'm saved, it would seem. Edit: What do the blue priority path nodes look like?
  15. I've been working on a mod called 'Mud Crab Merchants' in reference to the infamous Mud Crab Merchant you could trade with in Morrowind, and although I've got the bare necessities done (such as their own personal little island!), and more importantly, setting up their schedules for going home/going back to their shop, I've found a problem with their travel packages. When the crabs go home and back to their shop, they're plagued by pathing issues, as they try to take the most direct route to and from the shop and home, even though they'll often walk near the edges of areas that are needlessly difficult to cross. (Such as a steeply curving river bank) In the CS, how do you specify specific paths for actors to follow when a travel package is in progress? For now, all I can think of is setting up several X markers in various places, but that wouldn't be practical, seeing that Travel Packages can only use one reference as a destination.
  16. Phew, I'm back! It's officially 2009 here in California, so happy new years blokes! See you all tomorrow.
  17. I think my 2009 will be better than my 2008. Edit: I think I will 'celebrate' New Years Midnight(Eve? ) by getting away from the Construction Set and NifSkope, and playing Rayman 3 for a few hours!
  18. When I upgraded from AGP to a PCI-E Motherboard, I lost all the progress on Auoruuqhrum - I'm back where I was, however! The major difference from the previous version is that the horse is now named 'Aehrime', and black in coloration (with white near the hooves and on the forehead.) The black and white mane/tail and blue eyes are still present, however! Set the speed to 35 rather than 40, to keep her close to standard horses, but still faster (and to ensure companions oriented around standard horses don't lag behind!) Edit: This mod has been 'replaced' by a more ambitious project I have planned - see my first post for more details.
  19. How 'bout give the Rival the PC level offset tag, with an offset of 0? Or have you already done that? >_<
  20. Quote Okay, well here goes...This is Uncle Jim (he's been staying at my house the last few days):My mom (we get a lot of comments):My Dad (retired millionaire from a famous advertising campaign):This is my girlfriend (not much of a looker, but it;s what's inside that count... :-):oh, and here's me (need I say more?):... ... ... CC Whatever you say dude, whatever you say. Lol.
  21. Alright, I got some stuff down for Auoruuqhrum! First of all, I've got down the basic ideas for what her command spell will do. Also got her diamond designed. She'll quite controllable compared to other horses.
  22. Yeah! Maybe go with that.
  23. Dude, it's red and green! o_O O_o Christmas theme! I'd suggest swapping the red and green though, if you ask me.
  24. Hooray! My main character (Berk) is done with Factions and Nightfall, getting there with Prophecies and EOTN though. Maybe we could meet in-game at sometime? >_<
  25. I play Guild Wars. I gots a level 20 ranger/monk in GW, named 'Berk Avci' I've been playing GW since christmas of 2005, so I really only come on to get patches or assist someone who I know. >_< Completed Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and EOTN at least once. (Prophecies, Factions and NF twice, EOTN only once though. Prophecies is going on its third time being completed.)
