  1. Hey guys! I'm sorry for my leaving around a year ago but work and such became overwhelming and I saw myself visiting the site less and less. I was debating leaving a goodbye thread but then I wasn't sure whether I'd be back in a week or a year.

I'm in my final year of school now before Uni and my career choice has shifted from the plucky amateur modeller you may have known! I'm now going in to study Computer Science as programming has become the new love of my life! I'm not sure how much I can contribute to the modding society anymore due to me not owning Skyrim on PC and my work load is quite a lot (my own fault for messing my exams up last year).

But yeah, I hope I'll be back now for a long time! I've missed you all and wanted to come back but felt bad for leaving without saying a proper goodbye :(. Oh well onto a new era in my life! :D

  2. Well ermmm hello? Glad to be back there is so much shiny stuff here! :D but ermmm yeah don't know why I didn't come back at the start of my summer since I had about 10 weeks of relaxation after my exams :L now I'm onto the next stage of my education which is A-levels (I think that's the equivalent of seniors in the US?) so I gotta get these to get to Uni! I won't be doing any modding and have kinda slacked off on blender :'( if I do start back I'll be more scripting based and making utilities for Skyrim (I won't steal your thunder IS I promise ;D) so yeah that's pretty much it! HELLO TESA!

  3. Sorry for my idiocy/ignorance, but what does this actually do? And what is this useful for? No offence intended, but I don't follow what's going to be in the file at the end if I go to the effort of downloading, installing and running this.

No offence taken :). Basically some people like to post their characters portfolio (e.g. name, class, birthsign etc) when on an RP thread. This program is meant to make it easier than having to alt+tab in and out of OB to read their characters name, birthsign, class and their skills in the next version. You simply fill in the information (the other info is for RP like backstory and such) you then specify where you want to create your .txt file (working on a better method) when you click "Create your sheet!" it creates a .txt file in your specified directory. This .txt file contains you info you put into the text boxes. Does that clarify it? It's not incredibly useful but since I'm learning C# I wanted to make something with it which may be useful :)

  4. Well between revising, looking up Computer Science degrees and other general things I've started learning C# and have put together a nice little piece of software for all of you! :D. It doesn't do much though XD it's only really useful if you want to have a reference to your character without having to go in-game and alt+tab back and forth.

    Okay here's a quick tutorial.

    1) Fill out all the necessary boxes until you get to the path box.

    2) Type out the directory you want the .txt file written to (it has to use double \\ not C:\Users\Galvon\Desktop\test.txt it has to be C:\\Users\\Galvon\\Desktop\\test.txt I'm working on a better method though)

    3) Click Create your sheet!

    4) Viola if everything went to plan you should have your .txt file waiting for you in your specified directory!

This is currently version 1.0. Things I'm looking to add to v 2.0 are:

    - Easier path specification,

    - Multiple formats,

    - Skills maybe?

If you have any queries just post them here!.

    Download it now!

  5. Well as the title and description implies I am leaving modeling and texturing behind. The reason you may ask? The answer is that I don't enjoy it anymore. I open Blender and stare at the screen and try to model something, but never finish it. I don't have the joy or drive to do it anymore. My second reason is I have had problems with job choices. My original choice was to become a modeler for a game company, but I've hit a road block with the University course. I need an art GCSE, problem is I'm in my last year of GCSE and have not taken art and will not be able to. So game design is now out the window but I have found new opportunities. Mainly Forensic Computing or Computer Security, they are very similar degrees but I am waiting on emails from Universities to clarify job choices you can take with them. I may try my hand at scripting again but not sure about getting into OB scripting just yet. So I say a solemn fair-well to my modeling friends and wish you luck and hope for great things with Elder Scrolls V :)

  6. I feel bad commenting again on here because i've been doing it so many times! Well I can't say i'm definitely back for a while or not I'm still revising hard for my exams which start in May sooo.... I probably won't be throwing any mods out onto here for a long while yet mainly because I haven't got the time and I'm a bit rusty in the blender section at the moment XD but anyways just wanted to say hi again
  7. I'm going to say Bruma because of the tiered layout to the city, highly defend-able when the sides of the tiers are barricaded and you funnel your enemy to the one entrance to the castle, pikemen could harrass and demoralize troops making it very effective. The back door in the house is a problem but how would the attacking army know about this secret entrance? The basement is linked to a cavern used by

    the Mythic Dawn

and I dont think they would let a commando force tramp through their. Once you get inside the actual castle you have the opening room which could be held at the small doorway with a group of pikemen which can bottle neck the enemy forces most effectively, when you get to the throne room the balcony could be lined with archers to pin the doorway down.

So their is my idea of the most defensible city :salute:
