  1. Ushnar's Re-Skinned Hound

If you have completed the Shivering Isles quest to get Ushnar's Skinned Hound, this mod will make your hound a bit more fun to have around. He is now essential, leveled, and commandable. Activate your hound to get the following menu choices:
Follow: Your hound will follow at your side & attack any hostile targets engaged in combat with you or directly attacking him.
Stay: Your hound will stay at his current spot, and won't attack anything unless he is directly attacked.
    Scram: Your hound will vamoose.
Go Home: Your hound will vanish to the safety of home. While at home, your hound will wander & guard the premises, attacking any targets that become engaged in combat with him or with you.
Mark Current Location as Home: Similar to many companion mods; the very spot where your hound is standing becomes his "home marker". This is where he will go when you tell him to Go Home.
Inventory: Use your hound as a pack mule. Meaning, he can store your stuff.
Activating your hound while sneaking will offer the same menu, but with the additional option to restore all the hound's default AI settings. Use this option before uninstalling the mod. Giving your hound any of the other commands will undo this restoration.
When you first load up this mod, your hound will be resurrected if he's dead, and you'll be given a summon spell to call him to you. Khajiit players, who previously didn't have the option to acquire the hound, will be given the summoning spell after completing the main quest in Shivering Isles (untested).
This mod has five choices for what your hound can look like:
The original skeletal hound A dog A wolf An atronach hound (pictured) A custom hound (white wolf by default; see installation instructions) All resources have been given unique paths, and all plugins have been cleaned with TES4Edit for best compatibility.

  2. Respawning Varla & Welkynd Stones

"Storytellers say that the Ayleids imbued their precious stones with the same magical energy fused into the matrices of every structure they built. It is said that should one of the stones be removed, it is only ever temporary; after a time, its energy disperses, only to reconstitute at its place of imbuement. Varla stones find their way home in about the time of a moon cycle; welkynd stones, however, take only half that. Of course, the residual magics of the stones that make them so valuable to mages remain in the physical embodiment of the stone for years."
It always made me sad to loot varla & welkynd stones from Ayleid ruins, because they seemed so at home there! Hence, this mod was born. I have hand-replaced the stones with activators that respawn on a timer after use, but still look just like the original stones. This way the stones themselves haven't been altered, for the sake of compatibility.
When you first load your game with the mod active, all the stones will be there. When you uninstall the mod, any stones you picked up prior to installing the mod will still be gone.
This mod only works on stones in Oblivion's original Ayleid ruins. Stones outside of ruins (such as on mages guild counters, or in NPC homes) were not altered. Stones added by mods (including official DLC mods) are not affected by this mod. You can tell the difference easily by the icon you get when you put your crosshair over a stone. If it's a fist with a line through it, like levers and buttons have, the stone will respawn. If it's a regular hand, like a book or anything else you can pick up has, then it will not respawn.

  3. Replacement Main Menu Stuff

If you have the intro movies disabled in your Oblivion.ini, you may be tired of that same old parchment texture as your main menu background. I was, so I made this!

The image I have included will look and function best when used with Darnified UI, or any other UI mod that vertically aligns the main menu (see screenshot). You can very easily use your own; instructions below.

Don't have your intro movies disabled, but want to? Edit your ..My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini file like so:

    SCreditsMenuMovie=
    SMainMenuMovie=
    SMainMenuMovieIntro=
    SIntroSequence=

Basically, just delete whatever is after the equal sign on those four lines. You can also use Wrye Bash's ini tweaks tab to do this for you automatically.

    THIS MOD AS A RESOURCE
    ==================================
Enclosed are dark-background-friendly edits of the Oblivion logo and blurred title (the final title was already crisp at the edges). Feel free to use and distribute these anyway you like for non-commercial purposes, such as if you want to clone this mod but with your own background image.

How to use your own image as the background:

    1) Scale your image to size 2048x1024. If you prefer lower file size over higher quality, 1024x512 is fine also.
    2) Save your image in .dds format using DXT1 compression with the file name "loading_background.dds".
    3) Place the file in ..Oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\Loading.

If your image editor doesn't support saving as .dds, grab Paint.NET for this task, as it will do it natively and with excellent quality. Or, if you already have Gimp or Photoshop, google search for the .dds plugins made for those programs.

  4. Greenie's Pink Trees

    ==================================
    DESCRIPTION by Greenwarden
    ==================================
My pink tree retex. Will replace all the sugar maple trees (summer version ones, anyway) with pink fluffy goodness. I actually used the leaf texture from the summer version of Oblivion's English oak trees as the base- I've been using it as a maple tree replacer for so long, I had forgotten that. Whoops! I've enclosed an alternate pink retexture of the actual maple leaf texture in case you like a less fluffy pink trees.

  5. Anvil Exterior Retex

This is a conservative retexture for Anvil's exterior architecture. My goal was just to get rid of the dirty white and replace it with something warmer and easier on the eyes. Nothing exciting here.

I didn't replace all textures. Most notably, the trim, doors, and roofs I left alone, as I didn't want to completely lose Anvil's style.

The new plaster/stone textures are the same size as their vanilla counterparts, and the brick textures are only twice the size (the originals were quite small), so the performance impact is trivial.

  6. BTA Keybinds for Oblivion

I made this mod to have easy keybinds to spells and console commands I use often while beta testing mods. Here's a list:

    U: Toggles 100% Chameleon
    I: Toggles Detect Life, 120ft.
    O: Toggles Light, 60ft.
    P: Toggles Night-Eye
    H: Purge Cell Buffers
J: Instantly gives the player 100% health.
    K: Gives player 10K gold
L: Unlocks current target (if applicable), re-locks with Modifier Key
    M: Toggles Underwater Breathing
NUM 0: Quits game (requires Modifier Key also held down)
    NUM 1: Saves game to KeyboundSaveXX.ess (01-05)
    NUM 2: Toggle God Mode
    NUM 3: Toggle Collision
    NUM 4: Toggle Grass
NUM 5: Clears player bounty (requires Modifier Key also held down)
NUM 6: Resets the last interior you were in to its editor state (requires Modifier Key also held down)
    NUM 7: Toggle all AI
    NUM 8: Toggle Menus
    NUM 9: Toggle FlyCam

You can change any or all of these keys to ones you like better by editing the file Data\ini\BTA Keybinds.ini. There are instructions and a full list of key codes right in the .ini to make it easy. You can also use the .ini to disable any keybinds you don't want available in-game.

Using the unlock hotkey will unlock whatever door or container is in your crosshairs and in range. If you need to re-lock the object, make sure you're near it, and hold your modifier key while you press the unlock hotkey. The object will be locked again, precisely how you found it.

Using your save hotkey is just like QuickSave, except that a full, incremental save is made to prevent saved-game corruption. Once you've made five saves, the sixth will overwrite the first, and so on, thereby giving you a nice handful of backups.

Some functions that I'd not want to use accidentally (such as the "quit" key) require the modifier key be pressed as well as the hotkey, because I am accident-prone, and it seemed wise at the time.

Try not to toggle things on or off super fast, as button mashing may confuse the script. If any of the toggles seem to be stuck the wrong way, save & exit, they will fix themselves on reload.

This mod may not be compatible with other hotkey mods, unless they also come with .ini files or some other method of letting you choose your hotkeys. It's up to you set separate hotkeys for this mod from what you use in other mods. If you run out of keys, disable some of the functions of this mod in the .ini.

This mod makes heavy use of cheats and console functions. While the mod itself won't damage your saves, your use of these functions potentially can, just as using the console can. Use at your own risk.

  7. Temple District Repaired

I always thought it was silly that months or years could pass after completion of the main quest, yet nobody ever repairs the Temple District. This mod fixes that. When you pick up your quest reward, the district will be repaired, though the broken temple & statue will remain.

I know there are a few mods out there already that aim to do this; however, I could not find one that was done cleanly. Either the changes they made would create conflicts with ImpeREAL City (which I use and love), or they couldn't be loaded until the main quest was completed, or they were riddled with dirty edits/deleted refs, or they had no way to uninstall clean. My method makes the fewest changes necessary to make it all work, doesn't conflict with ImpeREAL City (or Better Cities, bonus!), can be activated anytime regardless of quest completion, and doesn't require any special action to take effect.

You can toggle the Temple District back to un-repaired, and back to repaired again, anytime you wish by activating the statue in the Temple of the One while sneaking. Toggle it to un-repaired with the option "Yes, and prepare to uninstall!" before you de-activate this mod. If you forget, re-activate the mod, and then do it - no harm.

  8. Mark And Recall

These plugins each contain a set of four simple Mark and Recall spells. Cast a "Mark" spell to mark a spot, and cast the corresponding "Recall" spell to return to that spot.

There are four plugins total, one pair for those with Shivering Isles and one pair for those without Shivering Isles. In each pair, there are two types of plugins:

In one plugin, the spells are Lesser Powers, and you must have at least Journeyman Alteration skill to use them. In the other plugin, the spells are just normal spells, which means they cost magicka, but they offer a chance for skillup and you only need to have Apprentice Alteration skill to cast them.

    Use only ONE plugin.

To acquire the spells once the mod is activated, you can buy a copy of Transitive Alteration: Mark And Recall from Phintias at First Edition in the Imperial City Market District for 200 septims. If you're not shy about console use, or you find yourself in a bind, you can use the console command "StartQuest KhMNRQuest" without quotes to get a free book anytime. Copies acquired via console have no monetary value.

All plugins have been cleaned with TES4Edit for best compatibility.

  9. Kafei's Circlets Reforged

I fell in love with Kafei's Armored Circlets the first time I saw them two years ago. However, I was always frustrated by having to juggle two different plugins with three versions of each circlet. The vendor at Colovian traders was overloaded with items.

This mod includes all six versions of each circlet in one plugin. Only the standard armored version is available on the vendor, to reduce inventory clutter. However, once you buy a circlet, you can change its version to any one you want. Hold the left ALT key while clicking on a circlet from your inventory, and a menu will appear allowing you to choose another version. Your new choice will be added to your inventory immediately, and your old circlet will disappear as soon as you close your inventory. You can do this freely as many times as you like. Once a circlet has been enchanted, of course, you won't be able to switch anymore.

All the prices have been normalized so that the clothing and armored versions have the same value. You can still purchase the circlets from Gunder at Colovian Traders in Skingrad.

There's also a full selection available in the Testing Hall, as a precautionary measure, and for playing dress-up.
