  1. Quote Does R4C only want to add them to vendors or give them to NPC's as well? I thought he wanted them all over the game world.. If they are only for sale, than creating your own leveled lists and add them to a new vendor container would be best. I never tried to do it by script though. Yeah, I want them everywhere, and my whole goal is to stop adding random vendors everywhere :-P (especially outside in the Weye exterior area, I don't know why I abuse that spot so much :-D)
  2. Quote Thanks R4! There's a problem though, the file is a .exe - Macs can't use those! So now I just need to find a file converter to convert the file for my file converter... Gah! Now I'll have to scour the web looking for a Mac-friendly DDS converter just to say "I found it". Gimp has a DDS converter plugin, but I doubt that Gimp is for Macs (or that it would be worth your effort to download the whole gimp just for a plugin :-P). Oy! :-D CC
  3. Quote Using scripts to add them prevents incompatibilities since it adds them once the game starts running. Hence, if you have to mods that do that, they both get added. I can't even begin to express to you my scripting incompetence. I'm sure I could learn it, but every time I start on a new computer language I start mixing it up with the others and causing problems and such... I'm going to stick with Java for now, but I really did just want to edit vanilla LL's in a simple way that wouldn;t cause conflicts (which this shouldn't supposing you guys aren't LYING!!! (I bet you are, they all hate me ["go away, I'm not here" {if you recognised that line, you definately belong here :-D}]) Well, before this gets any weirder (all my fault, I know), I'm just gonna end this... CC
  4. Quote Well, many people use different mods changing the very same Leveled Lists, so that makes the Bashed Patch essential if you want to see all the changes in your game. Before Wrye Bash featured Leveled List merging, it was impossible to even concider using for example Armamentarium with OOO. Still, it's up to the end user to decide if he wants to use the Bahsed Patch or not. Okay, I think I understand, but my question is "do I have to do anything special to allow Wrye Bash to merge my LL's? (like add a tag/thing) Also, if so, then how?" Thanks again for your time and help. CC EDIT: Just saw your last post. I understand now, thanks :-D
  5. So I don't have to do anything special for this? WB automatically merges all LL's? Or do I need to add some special tags or something to make WB automatically merge my LL's? Thanks for all the help :-D CC
  6. Okay, I have been making lots of armor/weapon retextures recently, and just creating random vendors for them all. Anyway, I've been thinking that it would be great to add these to the Levelled Lists (in an Armamentarium-like fashion). Unfortunately, while I understand how to change LL's, I do not know how to prevent incompatabilities or make it work with FCOM or anything (do I use Wrye Bash? How do I? etc). If any CS gurus would be willing to explain this to me (as if they were talking to a two-year-old), I would be most grateful. Thanks ;-) CC
  7. Quote There's another thread floating around somewhere? But in about a month or two I'm building the PC I need. In the meantime please do send that link, I don't like bugging others to help me with sending textures. i feel like "Help me... I've fallen... and I CAN't GET UP" material I really want to do more than textures and that's my best alternative. Plus going back to school to learn Maya and Zbrush is gonna help the team even more and they thrive on PC. I think Darkseed is just jumping off the proverbial diving board here! Our projects really are just going to get bigger and bigger (crosses fingers)Thank you! R4C! Here you go: DDS Converter 2.1 It's really easy to use, just a few things worth noting that I don't think are mentioned in the readme: 1) When you click/double-click on a file to add it, that doesn;t actually work (for some reason). You actually have to type (or paste) the whole file location into the "Image File List" box (or use the dropdown list, which I find to be much more annoying). 2) You must click the " . " button before you can hit convert, which automatically sets the output folder to the one you are currently viewing and 3) When it converts a file it will automatically close after 5 seconds unless you click restart (which can be annoying if you're converting a bunch of files) Those things may all sound annoying, but they are easy to work-with/overcome, and all-in-all it's a very simple tool. Hope you like it ;-) (R4)CC :-D
  8. An amusing one-liner, isn't it? :-) Anyways, I just came back to edit that comment because I realised you're using Photoshop, and I'm using Gimp :-P (ahh! I need PS) As such, I can't apply your info ( :'^{ ). Thanks for answering so quickly, and if I do need help with anything I'll let you know :-D (oh, and I'll get you that link tomorrow) CC
  9. Quote You sounded like my Jr. Varsity hockey coach V! That man was made of steel screws and thingamabobs! R4C (I like that) If you want ANY help w/ textures just gimme a shout man and I think we would work great together in An Arane Cey 3, which won't be too far off! Thingamabob; Pronunciation = theen-guh-muh-bob; Language of Origin = Madeuplish; Part of speech = noun: Definition: Of (or pertaining to) things, and/or (in some circumstances) people named "Bob" ~From the Running4Cover (R4C :-D) Dictionary of Awesomeness :-) Thank you, again, for your generous offer of help, and it did occur to me to ask you one thing; how do you (personally) cut/paste intricate shapes of texture (like on your new quivers)? Do you use the "Fuzzy-Select/Clear Layer Trick" or copy/paste as new and erase/replace parts out or what? I have been trying to find the most effective way to do stuff like that, and wondered how you did it, I sincerely hope we can work on a project (like An-Arane Cey) together in the future :-) CC
  10. Quote I'm on a Mac so I need them in .jpg format... Photoshop can't use .nif files Hmm... if you still don't have any kind of converter, I use a program called "DDS Converter 2" (brilliant and original, I know). If you have any interest I can get a link next time I'm on my PC (the Wii doesn't have copy/paste functions... CURSES!). By the way, the red arrows are awesome (the saturation is beautiful).
  11. Thanks all for the welcomes, and it's nice to know we all love cereal :-P Nice to see WhoGuru and Shadowhider already, and no worries, I don't intend to "short change my talent", I simply have an interest in knowing a little more about models so as to further my texture understanding and such (like a better knowledge of UV maps). I can't wait to spend a lot of time on this site :-D I probably won't get to spend as much time as I'd like working with Oblivion over the next few days, but I should be able to spend a decent amount of time on these pages looking through stuff. I am glad to hear you (WhoGuru) like my blades so much. Oh, and I love the chair icon ( ), so Shadowhider, you can take this as me literally "pulling up a chair :-). Quick question; I noticed you guys have pics/links in your sigs, but it says something about HTML not being allowed in the,, so how do I go about adding these things? Just wondered. Thanks, all ;-) CC EDIT: "Walk quickly for cover", that's awesome
  12. Well, I guess this is my official Introduction post (that would explain how it found its way into the "Introductions Forum"). I was just linked-to/encouraged-to-view this site by WhoGuru, and ShadowHider. Concerning my modding experience, I have a decent uderstanding of the CS (enough to release a few, relatively boring, mods), and have recently started texturing (started with two HORRIBLE retextures I made the mistake of posting online, but recently I think I have been making remotely-worthwhile stuff). I would like to someday learn how to use Blender, and would be interested to become involved in some larger projects (depending). I also like cereal. Somtimes. Especially when its still crunchy. ...But milky too. I like cereal. (just kidding ). Okay, I'm going to post this now, before I make it any weirder. Shweet ;-) CC
