  1. the skulls never were really joined in the game... whacking two blades onto another is one thing... this one here is a different level...

ILL IMPLEMENT THAT ONE! edit: im gonna dedicate this one to the whole modding community! to the folks that helped me gain my skillz! to the folks that taught me stuff! to tesalliance! HAIL MALACATH! so lets see... gotta smash the n's and m's together... split it before that, skulls dont reflect... then adjust blood... so what is inside it... skulls... orcish mace... orcish waraxe... done this hundreds of times before.... itll be done tonight. maybe in an hour or two. edit: working on as many axes as i did... you can actually whack 2 trishapes into a single nif without any problems. ill use this to make the skulls not-reflective.

  4. sooo... lets check nifs... what was my old way of organizing weapons... standard name = only blade... razor prefix = spiked up... berserker prefix= skulls... should be named sth like ragnarokberserkerwaraxe .... gogogo edit: its original name is actually ragnarokpunisherdoubleaxe... i remember... wasnt berserker prefix indicating mudcrab-loads of skulls... it was punisher prefix. (comics highly recommended, especially garth ennis run (aka "punisher max") ) congratz u old basterd... u just got renamed. punisherdoubleaxe is dead! long live metalasfu! edit: yeah, gotta adjust normals n stuff... my old work was inferior. this beast will rule once its done!

  6. me thinkz the ebony swords are done... ... edit: fixed hilts edit: same old... left one is vanilla. edit 2: once im done with the swords, ill go for the daggers. after that ill be implementing the axes / battleaxes and maces / warhammers / scythe-prototypes edit 3: once the ebony tier is done... ill go for the brutal orcish skull axe. will get uploaded here, standalone-mod, tesalliance-exclusive. current developement name "Metalasfu"

  8. yay! cookies! ... windows 10 fudging up skyrim... that would be sth new for me i also run win 10... though, after i basically started over with my beloved orc, i havent moved to solstheim yet, i was busy smacking ore and ingots in my lakeview manor forge.... oh pls, dont let that happen to me after i finished the ebony tier, i might as well start killing the first dragon and then see if thats the same for me once i hit solstheim. its the same old mudcrab, the more sophisticated your mods are, the higher the chances they f up your game. its why, after figuring out how to make an "invisible bow" (spear-thrower-mod) and especially afer figuring out how to tweak unarmed combat and "pseudo-unarmed-combat" with fists of malacath, i stayed the f away from anything involving too many scripts. if you want any feedback about win 10 vs solstheim, gimme a few days. oh boy, win 10, YOU BETTER DONT DARE MESSING WITH MY BELOVED SKYRIM!!!
  9. overhaul of greatsword hilts. those beasts were simply way too long. i said it before, this time im for real. final versions. 7 ebony greatswords, left one is vanilla. implementing them all now before i work on the swords.

WHAT DIDCHA DO TO YOUR DRAGONBORN-DLC! man, thats not the first time i hear sth like that, and till now, as far as i remember, it was ALWAYS related to mods. from what i remember, its usually related to scripts / skse based stuff biting each other in the butt. ... sadly im so outta modding, i cant analyse load-orders as i could years ago, back then i knew the majority of major mods in existence.... pretty sure you know the basic hierarchy though, first skyrim, then unofficial patch, then the dlcs one after the other, and each dlc BEFORE the next dlc followed first by its unofficial patch. been running same setup for like 10 years, never encountered any problems. ... jeez, forgot who im talking too, it was you folks over here that honed my modding skills wish i could help in any way edit: i hate to ask this... could you cookie my post above? i mean, getting a nif working in-game after such a long-time deserves one, dontcha think?
  11. IM BACK IN BUSINESS, MOTHERHUGGERS! (id like to point out the difference concerning blood ... compare vanilla to RagnarokEbonyGreatsword01 ) the hilt seems a little long imho... ill cut it down a bit on several versions. its a general thing about the ebony gs. edit: you know... just checked my savegame... its been over a year. for that, implementing a blender weapon with bloods and shaders, within like a good hour... id cookie this post myself if i could, i think i deserved one for that now theres literally nothing in my way when it comes to mass-production. IM THE BRUTAL ORCISH MASTER BLACKSMITH!
  12. the current greatswords, those based on dagger and sword still need a bit of fine-tuning edit: done, screens showing final versions. same old... left one is the standard vanilla gs.
  13. sooo... back to the ebony-choppers... most likely today the blends will get finished... means, ill finish the gaps in the collection ... and then, during the next days, set up the nifs step by step. good thing though: checked my old nifs. setting them up shouldnt be that difficult. the major problem i see ahead will be to make decent blood effects on the heavy-mace... will go for a dirty-fix there, same as the beth-folks did on certain weapons. the rest should be a piece of cake once i managed to make the first nif work. time to fire up good ol blender, v 2.59. (for rigging (armors, creatures, bows) i prefer 2.49, it supported some of the best scripts ive ever seen.) lets create something awesome!
  14. wait a second, i totally forgot about this one specific axe... actually i just noticed ... NO SKULLS ON MY ORC WEAPONS AT ALL... YET! IM TOTALLY GONNA FIX THIS ONE!!! edit: first finish the other tiers. especially ebony. but sooner or later itll be skull-time!
  15. MEMORY LANE POST 4 - for now the final one... betcha you didnt see this one comming... I WAS A STAR IN ASIA! besides the ragna-bunny they seriously loved my crab-armors.... they were also nice enough to not yoink the files and link the downloads. took me a while to understand why theyd go crazy about them, its cultural related. i felt sorta honored, and id have never known if an asian modder wouldnt have messaged me to look up myself
  16. weird, its what im running too .... skyrim legendary... 5 minutes then crash.... mod compatibility problems???? what about skyrim mainland, you also crash in whiterun or so???

MEMORY LANE POST 3 talking bout ghosus customization of the skulls helmets... the berserker-stuff-retexes where pretty cheap shots.... but also here was sth to be learned... years before i used it myself.... simple recoloring of textures... take a look at that... the green areas are the green belt from my mod fists of malacath ... i tried to encourage folks to pick up modding wherever i could. you see? i needed hours to create the tokens for the different fighting styles. coz it was the first time i ever really reshaped meshes. before this mod, i just scaled, cut and put together. but reshaping? this was a first one. its difficult... you wont learn modding in weeks... but its worth it. all the small pieces being put together u know so lets come to what happens when you upload mods.... folks will talk mudcrab about it. reasonable criticism? you should always appreciate that. tips and help to improve your skills? you should be thankful about those. but you will always find that one guy, that knows jack shit about modding, demands retarded things (i stopped doing requests after one certain message), and keeps calling you names. as a modder, you gotta develope a way to handle this... heres my way: whenever folks told me slapping a dozen skulls on an axe would be stupid and not realistic... i sent them this screenshot and told them to go f themselves... - REALISM IN SKYRIM -

MEMORY LANE POST 2 i just found this one here... that was one dark creations... good old days ... i should totally check what humiliation and chickne are doing nowadays and his reply was the same which i received from kettlewitch before on nexus. they knew it was missing shaders. they knew it was missing blood effects. but a lot of great 3d artists called my designs "METAL AS F!" ... and thats all i ever wanted to create then i met again a guy from nexus... ac3s... and he finally made me understand normals.... hes also here, not sure if still active, also a very nice guy there are 5 other screenshots of this topic, sadly irl struck me hard as f shortly after.... and i stopped modding for years. if anyone would be interested in normals, hes explaining them well. i recommend to check the tutorials here though. folks like hanaisse ... in general, all the tutors here.... awesome pros. nuff said.
  20. MEMORY-LANE-POST-1 im gonna highjack my own thread.... for a few posts... about... drum-roll.... Ragna_Rok! ... well about some old mudcrab im not allowed to leave my shack for the next 2 weeks, might as well waste some time online the pics come from different sources. i didnt start on tesalliance. i started on nexus (and later got bannhammered there after calling its owner some orcish things for imho good reasons). there i met other modders, like kettlewitch (one of the greatest artists ive ever met), like ghosu (modder that customized a mod he made for me within minutes, skull helmets retex in orichalcum-green, its when i figured that if a retex is that simple i should maybe try to mod myself, and holy f, look where it ended ). since i wanted to learn how to mod myself i asked around and this site was recommended to me and so i went tesalliance. i learned a lot here. A LOT. --- TESALLIANCE IS THE BEST MODDING EDUCATION SITE EVER --- . nice, friendly and helpful folks. i also had a smaller stay on LL, a little visit to afkmods (arthmoors realm, this dude is a legend for the unofficial patches alone) and a longer on dark creations (beyond skyrim). i met several hardcore-modders there. specialists like matthiaswagg, or humiliation. the modding community is one of the greatest, folks helping each other out without hesitation. when i went over to dc / beyond skyrim i had done the mudcrab-, berserker- and warlock-armors. no reflections, i admit that, could fixem now and i also could do the meshes a lot better nowadays, but i was one of the few folks over there at this time that could basically rig anything. just on beyond skyrim, i rigged dozens of creatures. my most favorite one is a chicken that humi created, bantam-style. i found it so awesome that i asked him permission to use it as personal replacer in my game. so, if youre wondering, this is how chickens in my skyrim look: there were lots of problems involved. i had done armors, but this was sth different. so, dont let errors / mistakes stop you. no one starts pro. never surrender. realize your dreams. no matter if irl, or in some dragon-infested world just start modding! dont give up! just do it! do it now! do it the orcish way! go berserker-rage, yell, curse, throw stuff around your room, smash 1 or 2 mouses and keyboards, and when you succed, celebrate, get wasted and praise malacath! my first mod ever became "Ragna_Roks Stuff for real Berserkers" ... not recommend for download anymore. no shaders. no blood effects. its still my first mod ever... and will always have a special place in my heart. and it all started with me simply wanting a more brutal orcish battleaxe and greatsword... i learned how to use blender, how to setup nifs, use the ck, first steps, im way better now, but... they were my first steps... and, occasionally getting hammered like a real orc, i also couldnt resist to create stuff like this... the bunny-mace! my first nonsense-weapon by that one i figured out how to use cooking-pots as crafting-stations, immersion ftw. pretty stupid, agreed, but immersive. lets simply say sheogorath made me do it
  21. progress further increased on ebony-weapons.... second dagger, few swords and greatswords.... looks a lot better than the standard mudcrab, im surprised myself edit: might be i scratch one or two of those. same old, left ones are vanilla versions. edit 2: second swords blade was too far to the right... moved over to the left. fixed. so whats left to be done on the tier... crossover daggers / swords / greatswords... shrink one or two hammers and scythes down to mace-size... thats pretty much it. once i did that and picked the final versions its nif-time
  22. good news... warhammer adjusted.... and ... guess what... the scythe is designed ... its a flipped and reshaped warhammer, those parts were more suitable... made it in several blade shapes, gotta test that in-game once im done with ebony-tier and start hammering out the nifs... talking bout hammers... HAMMER-TIME! left one is vanilla... first one slightly tuned... second heavy as f... third hammer mirrored, part removed and mesh closed... and then 3 scythe-choices, most likely keeping the first and third of those
