  2. Don't laptops have an emulated MMB amongst their mouse pads? (I thought they did but haven't been on a laptop in ages.) Or Windows for that matter? Otherwise, no, there's no key mapping ability. You could always try asking on the NifTools forum though.
  3. (Moved to appropriate section) Welcome to TESA When in the UV map Edit window, click+hold the middle mouse button will allow you to move around.
  4. I use Growlfs animation chain, even to check vanilla setups. CBBE and UNP are similar enough it'll be fine. Or, if you insist, he's provided directions in his readme on how to change the body type.
  5. I would suggest you go back and do the Extra Credit challenges (still optional) to get used to different things then off to the Final Exam! You can follow the continuation of building in that area or do your own thing. I'm sure you'll do great whatever you choose!

  7. Thanks. You're correct, this tutorial is very specific to 2.49, what we had to work with way back when. The only useful portion of this tutorial for you would be the explanations of partitioning and possibly the nifskope cleanup sections. I could never get the 2.7x version nifscripts to work properly for me, so to this day I still use 2.49. What kind of help are you looking for?
  8. Textures will 'flicker' when two textures are overlapping each other and competing. Not much more guidance I can provide you without seeing pics of it in nifskope or seeing the actual mesh itself. What does your UV map look like? Perhaps this tutorial can help?
  9. Just gonna toss this comment in here ... strive for learning, not perfection. Honestly, it takes years to perfect modeling. Keep practicing and keep having fun with what you do. Focusing on perfection is neither of those things.

  11. Welcome to TES Alliance Can't see your screenshots, getting an error (pretty sure bmp is not an acceptable format on this forum), so not sure what you're trying to show. So, a few things; - Never coc into a cell you're trying to test. Using coc doesn't allow scripts and events to start correctly. Have a clean new character (meaning a character that has never been subjected to your mod before) enter the cell properly. - Where did you put the merchant chests? Is it in this same cell? Are these new custom chests for each merchant? If you copied any part of the vanilla game you could have contamination, such as the affecting of the vanilla NPC's. - Do your merchants have the proper AI packages to offer services? No idea what tutorial you followed but have you looked up others that may have different advise? - Did you create a new unique services faction for each merchant to set up their vendor details? (for example, Belathor has ServicesWhiterunBelathorsGoods). I stress unique because this is where you point to the merchants chest. Just a few things off the top of my head to get you started on troubleshooting. Good luck.

  14. I wish I could tell you there's a magical answer, but there isn't really. Especially if you say it's fine on NPC's just not the player. Are these NPC's the same custom race as your char? I assume some mod added custom NPC's? The only reason I've come across invisible armor is incorrect skin partitions, either in the meshes, or the CK, or both not being equal. But that would affect the NPC's too (if they are the same custom race). The other remote possibility I can think of is your char is wearing something else that is blocking the slots the armor uses?
  15. Is your mod available for download anywhere? Or can you PM it to me? I can look it over for you and see if I can figure out what's going on if I have a closer look.
