About Me
Hi there,
my name is Gramblosh, I am a dwarf. Obviously! Small + beard + axe = a dwarf. My home is Aventurien, which is a bit similar to Tamriel. It's origin is the German RPG Das Schwarze Auge (The Dark Eye). The game Drakensang gave me my name (randomly). And just in case somebody is wondering about the greeting in the signature: Angrosch or Ingerim is the god of the dwarfs (we only have one while humans have 12). My avatar also originates from that game. Humans call us anvil dwarfs (and Anvil is also the Oblivion city I like the most), but we use to call ourselves Angroschim.
In my other live, I am a German TES fan, playing mainly Oblivion and just started Morrowind again. Not yet sure what to think about Skyrim. I am a heavy mod user (must be around 200+ for Oblivion and 100-150 for Morrowind), also did a few things in CS and NifSkope to fix mods, even translated a few things but only for my personal use. Somehow, I like the modifying and personalizing more than the actual playing. Specially in case of Oblivion, which could have been so much better.
Moin - The (Short) Story
I use to say "Moin" as a greeting. Moin is the traditional standard greeting from the area where I was born which is the northernmost part of Germany. It's neither formal nor informal, so here you can say it to friends or strangers, the Pope, the Bundeskanzler or the President of the United States, it's always a suitable greeting. It is not time depend, so you can say it 24/7. It is not to be confused with a short or crippled form of "good morning" (or "guten Morgen" in German). Some people use it as a farewell greeting. At times people also use double it and say "Moin Moin" as a very special greetings. In the German internet community Moin rose to certain fame cause it always fits, it also became popular amongst teenagers some years ago though a popular German comic series called "Werner".
