  2. Greetings. For the first time I am adding new creatures for a mod of mine, and now I just realized how different it is from Oblivion. In the Construction Set, it was just to open the creature window and there is a "model list" with all the meshes available. In the Creation Kit there is no model list in the creature (=actor) window, but there is an "actor body part data" section. Yes, I created a new body part with a new mesh, which is already there in the meshes/actors folder... now what? How do I add the "new body" for my new creature?
  3. I use "realistic Lighting", it is just perfect for dungeons and caves. It makes torches and night vision spells much more useful than in the vanilla game.

  6. Greetings. I have figured out that many people are splitting their mods into .esp and .esm files. I have seen some people claiming that this reduces CTDs. Is that true?? Splitting mods in .esp and .esm files makes them more stable?? Why?? And how should I do the trick??
  7. A dwemer slot machine would not be lore-unfriendly, it will be another dwemer device. I miss an arena similar to Oblivion´s one. Actually, a fighting pit would fit in well.

  9. Yes, I did. Are you saying that in Skyrim copying one cell to start a new dungeon causes this? They are invisible ingame, not in the ck´s render window. I will try to fix this the way you told me. Thanks for your help.
  10. Greetings. I am trying to get my first dungeon in Skyrimn done, but now there is another problem: the cave cells I tried to make have invisible meshes all around, until I get very close to them. It is as if there was no dungeon at all in several spots, then when I get closer everything shows up. The nord ruin cells I made worked just fine, but all cave cells I tried to make showed this problem in some areas. Any ideas about what may be causing this?
  11. Greetings. Here I am again, asking for help. I cannot add water to my dungeon in the CK. I click on the "has water" option, set the water height, then whenever I exit the "common Data" dialogue box, it resets water height to 0 and my dungeon has NO WATER AT ALL, even at "0" height. Am I doing something wrong? Is adding water to a dungeon very different from Oblivion´s CS and I have not figured it out?

  15. Actually, it is EVEN worse than this, StarX: the "data Files" option at the Skyrim launcher screen is not highlighted, I cannot even access the mod options through the game launcher. I tried to activate an .esp file using Skyrim Mod Manager, and it didn´t work: it is like my game was crippled, with no modding options.
  16. Greetings. I´ve got an issue here... a terrible one... my skyrim is version 1.4, I have got the cK... but the "game files" option in the Sk launcher do not highlight!!! I know, I know... I should set "bEnableFileSelection=1" in my game preferences file. I have already done it, and it STILL does not work!!! I play Skyrim in my notebook, which is most of the time offline. Only recently I updated it, from initial release straight to version 1.4. Now my new PC is coming and I am eager to mod it, the CK looks like it works fine for me... but I cannot play any .esp mods!!! I would be very pleased if someone could help me with this issue.

  19. Greetings. I need some help with AI packages. I know how to make NPCs "go to sleep" at any time I want since I put some beds near them at the same cell/worldspace. But how do I make an NPC which spends most of the day outside his house go inside it, look for a bed and sleep on it--- and when sleepy time is over, he goes outside the house again?
  20. Greetings. I was thinking about this alot, so I decided to explore your opinions. I can fill my mods with resources, adding to my dungeons lots of new clutter and eyecandy because it is my HD I am jamming and not anyone else´s. However, when it comes to share my mods, I must think about it: People with slow Internet connection or low patience may feel disencouraged to download a big mod, and sometimes stuff included on it (like tapestry, rugs and paintings) add too little to gameplay. If you are going to DL a mod to play, what would you prefer? A faster download of a mod with the most necessary resources only, or a slow download of a mod full with eyecandy?
  21. I liked them all, just didn´t like the orc. Resembles the Urukh-ai from the Lord of the Rings rather than anything orcish from the Elder Scrolls series. Too humanoid for an orc, maybe it will be up to modders to fix this.
