  3. The X,Y,Z axis for my model is way out of alignment. How do I fix this in Blender?
  4. I went back through Vince's tutorials about setting collision within NIFScope and Blender. While the tutorials where comprehensive and intuitive, by following these directions verbatim, exporting my updated model into NIF format crashes Blender v2.49b every time. Do you have any ideas?
  5. This ancient tomb, buried deep within the Jerral Mountains appears to be untouched by a thousand years. Deep magic is the only thing keeping the entire cavern from crumbling into debris.

I have spent hours in the attempt to resolve this issue and finally decided that I did not have enough data to proceed further in troubleshooting so I imported my backed up NIF file into Blender. I did review two tutorials on the subject of layers and believe that I have a grasp of the process. Obviously, I must have moved one or more objects into another layer other than the one I was working. However, I did confirm that in the end there was only 1 layer active.

  11. I can see my alignment problem clearly in NIFScope but how do you move the alignment marker to the location on an object in which it should be held?
  12. How do you shrink or reduce the length of a collision box in Blender?
  13. Okay now I have finally configured a collision box around my staff so my Player can pick it up and add it to his inventory. However, the location in which the staff is being held is backwards. How do I align the correct location?
  14. I found out how to shrink the item down to size by using the 'S' key in Blender. I even experimented with a halo effect; it is working in the game but it is not the color I chose and is almost invisible. I also noticed that without a collision configured for my new staff object that the object is essentially static and can't be picked up by the Player. Do you have any ideas?
  15. I need assistance to trim down the length of my new staff. It is too long.
  16. Ericka! I just successfully created my first model in Blender and exported it into the TESIV CS. However, it is about twice the length that I wanted.

  18. Never mind, I found the pencil icon but using shift right-mouse click under this mode grabs vertices and does not mark a line. What am I doing wrong?
  19. I am having a big problem with Edge Select. According to Vince's tutorial, he seamlessly clicked his mouse and ran along the edges of his object with ease. Unfortunately, I did not see any of his key functions in the video.
  20. Okay, since my model is essentially an elongated cylinder, I chose Edge Loop Select, Mark Seam, and Unwrap but this time around, no output in the UV split window.
  21. I am still having a fundamental understanding of how to effectively mark an edge of a object. What is producing the square box to the right?
