  1. There are thieves about? Quick! I must get those cookies to the safety of my stomach!
  2. Howdy. Since you weren't given a cookie that I might steal, here's one:
  3. Those are Windows installations, so let them install where-ever they want to. Python is a scripting language and the packages just let Windows read and compile Python scripts, but they have to be installed in the OS like any other program.
  4. You need to install Python, Don: Python 2.7.2 wxPython 2.8.12.0 ansi for Python 2.7 PyWin32 216 for Python 2.7 comtypes 0.6.2 for Python (all versions) Those should allow all versions of .py Mash/Bash/Flash to work properly without having to use an exe file. Flash uses the Wrye Bash.html file readme for how to use and install it if you run into any issues.
  5. Here lies Jenny, Who always lacked a penny. So off we went, And gave her a cent. Now she’s buried under many.
  6. Start->Run->type "msconfig" without the quotes and press enter. Go to the startup tab and uncheck the AMD catalyst entry. Reboot and it shouldn't load anymore.

    Hi There!

My first Commodore was the "portable" SX-64. I then swapped that out for a C128 before I got a Packard Bell 486 DX2/66. Those were the days...

    Hi There!

Commodore 64, then DOS here. I played Pool of Radiance and Curse of the Azure Bonds. I stopped after that because SSI stopped porting their games over to the C64 and I hadn't bought my first PC yet. I remember breaking a joystick from playing The Last Ninja.

    Hi There!

D&D as in "gold box" D&D by SSI? If so, have a cookie:
  10. Hmm. Minion. I'm not sure about that. Welcome. And thanks for the cookie.
  11. Like Khett said. All I'll add is that with PSUs you get what you pay for. Buy a no-name one and you're gambling with your system - I had one that got to where it refused to boot the system without monkeying around with it. I replaced it with a Corsair and haven't had any problems aside from the CPU overheating and burning off the thermal paste, but my particular CPU is known to have heat issues.
  12. Blow it out with either an air compressor or a can of compressed air. You don't need to wash it or dip it in anything. If you do use CLR, make sure it's completely dry before you reattach it. Also, if you take it off, remove the old thermal paste and apply about a pea sized drop of new paste.

    Hi!

4 cookies, Don? I only see two. Here, to make up for Don's mistake: :cookie4u:
  14. That they did, IS. They got a little sexist with the femsheps, but I can understand why - what with most of the NPCs you talk to being "men of action". I almost punched the merc recruiter when I went to get Archangel. I should have done that...maybe if I play again. I currently have everybody but Legion and I'm doing the loyalty quests. After that I'll do the DLCs, get Legion, then go kick some Collector butt. It'll be interesting to see what's different in ME 3. Hopefully there will be a new DLC by the time I get to it again.
  15. You should try it, GW. I've previously only played male Shepards because I am male, but since Elaura wasn't rushing to play a female, I figured I'd try it to see what was different. It's different enough that I almost feel I'm playing a different game. That and I'm playing a Sentinel, which I never had before. It's an experience.
  16. It's not the media's fault, they're just covering the story. The people I blame are those that take it upon themselves to condemn an innocent man without having all of the facts. There were at least 50 pages about the shooter's older brother made on Facebook when his name was released as the possible suspect. How many of those pages do you believe were taken down voluntarily when the shooter was actually identified? Anyway, I foresee a lot of overreacting and chest pounding from all sides, more useless laws being passed, and life still going on. I feel for everybody involved with this and wish them the best.
  17. My minions all quit citing improper working conditions. Lazy bastards didn't appreciate being chained to the radiator. It builds character! It was good enough for my daddy to do to me*, so it's good enough for me to do to them! Ah well, I'll just have to find new ones that appreciate the shocky monkey. *This is, of course, a joke. My father was the kindest man I knew.
  18. I'm currently playing my first FemShep (female Shepard) in the Mass Effect trilogy. I've already finished #1 and am a couple hours into the 2nd. It's a bit of an experience going from playing males to a female.
  19. Same avatar. No, he's not here that I know of. I was hoping his vacation was over and he'd come back. Regardless, I never welcomed you to the site, so here's your welcome cookie. I'd advise eating it before it goes stale.
  20. It happens every time there's a shooting, HY. People want to blame something, so they blame either violent video games and/or the lack of gun control. The problem with that is that they both ignore the underlying reasons as to why these things happen. The shooter had something wrong with him, but I don't know if any of it could have been adverted. Maybe it could, but I agree that stricter gun control laws wouldn't have prevented any of it.

    Yo

    Yo Yo Ma. Howdy.
  22. There's been talk of mental illness, but I haven't been following the story lately.
