  1. Yeah, the only problem with that is that only the originally created half of the symmetrical image was centered perfectly where I needed it, but the gap off-centered the symmetrically created half. I managed to work around it, but I feel like it required a lot more effort and maneuvering than it should've :/
  2. So, I've been missing from here lately for a couple of reasons, the main two are work and because I wanted to focus a bit more on learning 3ds Max before continuing on in learning the CK. I've decided to try and create a model of the heron-marked blades used in the Wheel of Time series, and I've reached an issue with part of the hilt. I applied a symmetry modifier so that whatever I do on one side of the tsuba is done on the other side as well, however the halves are now separated by this odd little gap... which I can't seem to get rid of (screenshot below). Anyone know how I'd go about fixing this? Thanks in advance!
  3. I woke up this morning and thought, "Mother of God, I've probably lived around a quarter of my life already and I haven't done anything I can really say future generations of my bloodline would be proud of. I should get on that." I then proceeded to dress myself, after which I sat down at my desk and started doing exactly the same thing I did yesterday.

  4. So... beautiful...
  5. Glad you guys like them, thanks! And Jac, not sure where my modding career's gonna take me at the moment, as I only just started the CK Basics stuff haha, but if I decide to create anything adult I'll definitely take you up on your offer! If you'd like I could still create the logo for you guys (even if I don't end up creating any adult mods), I just have to finish this logo I'm currently working on for a buddy of mine. He needs it asap for a club he's DJing at within the next few days so it's been taking up a good chunk of my time.
  6. I believe I tried that, but it seems like it's no longer recognized as her default armorset anymore so she doesn't put it on unless she's following me around :/
  7. So... a little while back my player character married Jordis the Sword Maiden, and I decided to take her around with me as a companion for a while. I wanted her to wear Wolf Armor, which I had modded into the game with the Cleric Armor female Wolf Armor replacer, but her default armor was stronger than the wolf armor. So I pickpocketed it off of her. This wasn't a problem while I had her as a companion, but recently I decided to send her back to my home and start journeying alone again. Now, though, whenever I go back home, she isn't wearing the wolf armor, in fact she's wearing nothing at all! My problem with this is, it's a little weird seeing a naked character walking around my house all day whether it's my character's wife or not. Is there a way I can fix this without modding my game to do so?
  8. Sometimes I sit around and wish I would get fired so I don't have to give my parents an excuse for wanting out of my job >.<

If a job is making you that unhappy, it's time for a change!

  9. It's been a real long while since I've last played around in Photoshop and tried to make something worth looking at... in fact, aside from the signature image I made for my profile on this forum yesterday, I'd say it's been around a year... in that time period I've gotten a completely new desktop and have yet to transfer all my .psd images and saved tutorials and resources and custom stuff from my old hard drive I miss my old projects and have gotten very rusty, and wish I had them back as references lol I'm gonna have to wait until I can afford an external enclosure though (I'm that broke hahaha). Anyways... enough with the back story. Here's some of my favorite things that I've made in Photoshop (and other programs in the Adobe CS), tell me what you think! Also, if you happen to find the symbol for the Greek letter Omega, or the word Omega itself and are curious as to why it's there: I used to go by the name Omega on other forums. It's a watermark/signature I use (and sometimes hide) in all of my more recent works. Signature Images Fire Emblem Style Sprites A lot of these are modified off of a base, but a good deal are also fully made from scratch too... if you know the game Fire Emblem you'll probably be able to tell which are which... they're kinda simple (especially compared to huge ridiculously detailed 3D models) but I still like em That's it for now... I have a lot of other stuff (like wallpapers, and vectors and whatnot) but a lot of it's saved on my old hard drive and I can't get to it at the moment T_T
  10. Glad you like the idea, they're great books aren't they? I can't wait for Memory of Light to come out in January haha It's so saddening that there are hardly any mods related to the series for Skyrim though. And like I said, I'm a beginner and I've just started using the CK and 3ds Max. Hopefully I can start getting some decent preliminary stuff out within the next couple of weeks or so (though it's doubtful at the moment). If anyone's interested in helping me with this, I'd gratefully welcome the assistance. I want it to be a good mod, and I just don't trust myself enough to make a really amazing first mod without help
  11. So I've had this idea brewing in my head for a little while now of creating a mod (or series of mods) based on my favorite book series, the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Over the next couple of weeks, as I learn more and more about modeling and using the creation kit, I'm hoping to create something along the following lines and would like to see how many people would potentially be interested in this (whether it be helping me out when I finally get around to starting it or people who would just download and play the mod if/when it's done). Premise A "Bubble of Evil" (common plot device in the series) has transported the entire city of Tear and the people in it into another world, one very similar, but at the same time quite different from the one they lived in. Separated from Rand Al'Thor, the people of Tear now look for this world's version of the Dragon Reborn, and surprisingly (well not surprisingly, but conveniently) you happen to be Dragonborn... close enough. Will you choose to fulfill the Prophecies of the Dragon in the stead of the Dragon Reborn, who doesn't exist in your world, or will you choose to side with the Dark One and his minions in order to destroy the city? You learn of a city that has seemingly appeared out of nowhere in the northernmost reaches of Skyrim. Being curious you decide to go see this city for yourself. When you arrive in Tear you take in the scenery of the city. The City of Tear Main Quest The main quest of the mod would be roughly based on the events at the end of book three, The Dragon Reborn. New Companions New Spells New Weapons And much, much more in planning. I can't wait until I'm good enough to get started on this one my own, but what do you guys think for now?
  12. Aside from bacon being delicious and needing to flip it to cook it and whatnot... I'm a Freerunner (one of those guys with a death wish who runs around urban environments jumping from rooftop to rooftop and doing acrobatics now and again) and the nickname I got myself in my local parkour/freerunning community is Oinky because I have a fondness for wearing the color pink. So, Oinky --> Pig --> Bacon. Then I'm a freerunner, and freerunning is parkour with tricking added in, simply put. So Tricking --> Acrobatics --> Flips. BaconFlips. On other forums years ago I used to go by the name Omega, but both on Nexus and here the name was taken, so I went with BaconFlips
  13. Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! And thanks especially for all the cookies :cookie4u: !!! Meo - glad you like the name, there's actually a story behind why I use it... aside from bacon just being straight up delicious haha
  14. Hey there everyone, the name's Zach, or BaconFlips. I just recently started getting into the modding scene. I've been downloading them for ages, but only recently decided I wanted to have a go at making some myself. So I just downloaded 3ds Max and Maya (God being a college student is great... free programs for students! haha) and started reading the basic tutorials offered by Autodesk. I have years of experience in Photoshop, but absolutely none in 3D modeling so it's a completely new experience for me. I saw a link to this forum in a post on the Nexus Forums, recommending it as a great place to learn. So I clicked, headed over, and immediately fell in love with what I saw. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge, a strong community, awesome layout, and most of all from what I've seen, friendly, welcoming members. I hope my first impression is the right impression, because I'm really eager to learn and I already have an idea or two I'd love to get started on. Glad to be here guys and gals, hope you're glad to have me!
