This is one of the stranger bugs that approaching Sancre Tor from the Tamriel side would enable a marker in SancreTorWorld. :blink: I'm actually surprised this wasn't previously discovered, excellent bug catching :clap: This should be fixed in version 1.0.4. In the meantime, not using the map marker, and not interacting with that world should leave your game in tact for when you reach the RST MQ.

    It didn't happen to me when I actually played through the main quest instead of using msqdone. The only map marker I got was for Sancre Tor while I was playing through. I did not get that rune stone marker because I did not get close enough to it at that time. That map marker disappeared somewhere along the line and then the other two markers for Shrine at Sancre Tor and Temple of Light appeared as I went through the RST quest line. If there had been two markers in my game I would have reported it.

  2. Question about side quest related to pages from sketch book.

    I have all the sketches, and I have found the cabin. Nice saddle in back, BTW. But the door icon is inactive. Please tell me what I have missed in advancing the quest? Log doesn't say. IS it just waiting? Passage of time?

  3. This is not entirely accurate. Vorians has kindly made a patch but thievery's author appears to be gone from the community and I'm held up on getting permissions to patch it publicly. :)

    That is unfortunate. I'll see if I can find out anything. I'm glad Vorians made the patch. I'll go through my old notes and see if I can find anything on the author.

  4. In the Market District, RST conflicts heavily with Thievery in the Imperial City. Not only does RST and Thievery put a door in the same location, but Thievery also puts a statue in front of the Apartment for Sale that's added by RST.

    This hard conflict is listed in the read me. When I was testing I had to take Thievery out because of those conflicts. DR simply did not have time to anything about this one. If you know anyone who wants to fix this and has that mod author's permission, have them contact DR about what to do.

  5. Thanks for tip on finding the ditched body. Sorry it did not help me. So I should be look at rocks covered in flora, not 'dirt?' I still don't know if Lush and gaudy kept those ivy white. I have been up and down the road, and the adjoining areas several times. No white flowers anywhere. Oh, well. Will go do something else.... RST is so close to being a classic....

    Do you remember what the vanilla morning glory vines look like? Look for white ones. Through the east gate and sort of south, near a large boulder by the reservoir.

  6. Good afternoon.

    I have a minor bug, yet a very annoying one :

    In Homer's house, I can't find his sketchbook. I checked all the cabin, and yet this book is nowhere. This prevents me from getting out, or even from continung the quest.

    Maybe this bug comes from the fact that I got out of the cabin before seeking the book. Actually, I thought that the impossibility of exiting Homer's cabin was a bug, so I put in front of it a midas mark, and the I got out using it. After I was wandering why Bruin wasn't talking about the quest, so I consulted the wiki, and when I got back in the cabin, the sketchbook was not there.

    Do these two facts have something to do with each other ? And more important, is there a way for me to continue the quest without having to load a previous save (that unfortunately is before the beginning of the water warrior) ?

    The sketch book is supposed to be under the shelving unit in the corner on the floor. I had trouble finding it my first time through I don't know how teleporting out would affect that. The door should open on it's own after you get the note from Homer's inventory and the sketch book.

    Re: balcony subspaces, yeah, I checked myself, they are (was just a guess). Something is up though, since 3-4 people were trying to walk into the door repeatedly.

    Re: Lipsand Tarn, you'd think, but somehow I ended up at Hermaeus Mora's shrine. :shrug:

    Really did try with the crates, but I couldn't get any behavior out of them at all other than jerkily falling into the water. Go figure. Ah well.

    To find Lipsand Tarn, follow the path toward Cloud Top. When you get to the part where there are ruined towers on each side of the path, in stead of gong through them, follow the path to the right. You will cross at least one bridge. Watch for a forking to the left, when you reach that, follow it and Lipsand Tarn will be a short distance from that.

    I had the same issue with those crates in Bravil.

  8. OK, I got the quest to start but, then Steffan did the exact same thing as he did in this user's screenshot. (Except I didn't have the magic effect)

    Naturally, I use BOSS and Wrye Bash.

    HOWEVER, for some time I have been using the MQS Complete mod, where you sneak into the cellars of the Tiber Septim and activate a crystal, that enables you to bypass the Main Quest and yet still get the Imperial Dragon Armor.

    I must therefore conclude that this mod

    MQS Done

    Conflicts with RTS. I suspect that if I try with a brand new character who has not activated the crystal and complete the Main Quest in the normal way, the result should be different.

    MQSdone does not conflict with RTS. I have used it several times with no problem. If there is a conflict it would have to be another mod.

  9. Slight AI oddity. Not sure how it happened or if it'll repeat later, but...

    After clearing the Mythic Dawn out of the sewer and returning to Sancre Tor, I went back to the IC to do Parlow's tavern quest. Bruin is supposed to have gone off to do his own thing at this point. Yet, when I returned to the sewer to go talk to Parlow, Bruin showed up there. He promptly started walking all the way through the area (I stopped to finish the quest), clear out through the assassination site, and all the way out the NE sewer exit.

    At which point he set sites for Sancre Tor again. Bizarre, and not sure if it's even something you can fix. The AI pack shouldn't have sent him in there to begin with.

    Yep. Bruin has been a real problem child for DR all the way along here. He just does not want to co-operate with his AI package.

  10. OK, i knew that - how else would i know to look for a silver key? ... turns out problem is not silver key... i found it

    (on other side) of porticillus in room with two frozen men under the ice. also found several others like a mithril key. problem was, and is, and remains, I was not able to get past the silver key portcullis, ** nor ** the portcullis in the two men under the ice room. I finally, after this 10 hours of frustration, turned off collision and went thru the latter portcullis. Then went mapping this set of tunnels, etc., and found several keys and crystals, and found the silver key. The silver key let me thru the silver key porticilus... and on to the boss bear. Have the ball... what a strange fight... cool...

    All done. In my TES4 build, there is something wrong with the activator on the portcullis in the room with the two frozen men under ice... Sorry I can't be more helpful....

    Did you click on the keyhole? or just the portcullis?

  11. Intervention en route, don't give up yet. I just need a tic to have a look and my OB install pulling shenanigans this evening for the Halloween Challenge :lmao:

    I use a key ring mod and I have no problem getting through this. Elena I did misstate which key was found back in the area. It has been just long enough since I ran through that that I had forgotten part of it.

    It is the iron key that you find back in the first area and the silver key after you go into the area that is opened by the iron key.

    I apologize for any confusion this added.

  12. yes, yes, yes. Thank you. Please read ALL of my post. You have been most gracious to reply, but you have not added anything that wasn't already [my/the] post to which you were replying. Prior to posting this request for help I did this : I went back to the tunnels, maze, and the entry room, and looked, looked, run, run, etc. etc. and not found a 'new' opening / door /passage. I have been down those passages, some 9 or 10 times. However, thank you very much for trying. I do appreciate any attempt at helping.

    Walk toward the other door in the third area, the one that requires the stone key. At some point you trigger a message about an area opening back in the first area. It is not in the entry area. I ended up comparing the local map alot, but a new area opens up and you will find both the silver key and another one of those special crystals.

    It is possible that some kind of new bug has crept in. Do you have a save available from before you leave the entry area?

  13. help plz with ice wind stone quest:

    --> SPOILER ALERT --> In ice wind quest. Just searched room with two frozen people UNDER ice in floor. Portcullis (gate) requires 'silver' key. Cannot find key. Cannot melt ice to get to frozen guys, one of which has a key next to his hand (maybe silver key?). Message upon entering this room with frozen guys says "... hear passage opening in previous chamber" OK, I go back and search the maze of tunnels, AND the entry room. When I approach entry door, get message "... don't leave yet, or the doc will be killed." (I don't leave.) Doc is in a jail cell in the maze tunnels area. I have searched every inch of the tunnels, BORING. It the new passage a scripted event based on a trigger zone? Do I have to have my avatar go super slow through all those tunnels to 'trip' the script to open the passage? BORING. Any help please... I have been through those tunnels like 10 times now - and checked each of the places that looked like dead ends, etc. -> any help plz finding the newly opened passage in the tunnels/maze? <-- Thanks all.

    After you approach the room with the stone lock, you get a message about something opening in the previous area. You need to go back and find the area that opened up, the silver key is back there in the newly opened area.

  14. I had problems with v1.0.0 so I uninstalled and removed it from the Oblvion folder - That was Sunday. I'd played at least a few hours and made a number of saves before I reinstalled the mod (completely) using v1.0.3 (that was Wednesday) - I didn't just replace the .ESP.

    I played an hour or so Wednesday, and two and a half hours Thursday with no letter showing up. Out of curiosity, Thursday night I went to Cloud Ruler Temple and Captain Steffan is there, but has no conversation and I still do not have the letter.

    So now I'm not sure why this has occurred. I suppose I'll try deleting the mod and reinstalling again - perhaps delete any saved games from v1.0.0 and see what happens.

    Have you tried walking around the Blades Court building to see if you can trigger that letter? DR says in an earlier post that he is expanding the area to try to help with that issue.

  15. Update:

    Looks like the fixes for the Blade youths are hit or miss at best in version 1.0.1 under further gameplay, they aren't sufficient to get the player where they need to be in the training hall 100% of the time. So, it's back to the drawing board on this very tricky bug. The issues with Rowan appeared sometime between 10/13 and 10/16 after testers had cleared that section so only public playing revealed it. Had I known about it I would have held off release, sorry some of you folks are on hold until its resolved. It's back on the tracker. :pc:

    If you are a player who doesn't mind consoling, you can console the quest forward just a hair to get around Rowan, for now. Console setstage aaRCMQ02a 25, then speak to the Blademaster on the large training mat in the Hall of Enlightenment, Blademaster Sakai. :good:

    A stable fix will be coming.

    I was wondering why I hadn't encountered Rowan's bug when I tested.
