  1. There is 14 screenshots this time So i figured i'll Just make an album for it and send a link, But below are some comments on them.

    http://s74.photobucket.com/albums/i248/metallica49/Oblivion/Class%203/

The screenshots are not in order that I named them so Ill comment left to right

1.This is the back of the house, where I hope there to be a swinging bench some day :)

2.This is the stable make sure to view at 100%

Here you can see a trough for the Horse, Some Hay, Empty Clutter barrels, a bench, a chair, And if you can see it there is a static chair leaning against the wall In case a fourth guest came about. Also that tombstone has to do with a quest I wrote for this piece of property

3.Here you can see where the platform forms a dock and a bridge makes it's way to the stable.

    4. here you can see some fishing stools at the end of the dock I placed in case the people had the need of it.

    5. (make sure to view 100% again  ) Here you can see Some landscaping along with my solution to the Empty bottom of the platform.

    6. Some more landscaping this time from the right side

    7. This is the Pathgrid for the Basement

    8. Here you can see some shelfs along (With your tip) a flower pot with a mushroom inside (I dident think a flower would survive long in a basement)

9.Here you can see a Desk a group of candles and a bed in case a guest came along and needed a place to stay.

    10. Here you can see a ChainDoll and a weapon rack which includes, 2 iron shortswords a Iron longsword and a iron BattleAxe.

    11. here you can see some Decrative Mages Guild Tapestry the Door Reference, a light, and a nice little drawing above the archway(I added the door, Dident notice till after screenshot its 5:40Am)

12.Here you can see the trapdoor from inside the house along with its marker.

13.Here you see shrubs by the bridge some landscaping and a door reference,

    14. Here you see front view of the house The Porch Light, Clutter and a Bench.

Basement notes.: I imagine this theme for the basement(although it does not involve any of my quests atm) as a Battle Mages basement. So i put Fighter and mage tapestry, Alchemy items and fighting items, On the bookshelf, the first shelf is full of Mage themed books, and on the top Fighting themed books, on the bottom you can see a crystal ball and a silver dagger. I also only placed one handed weapons because I cant imagine a BattleMage using two handed weapons.

Im off for some much needed sleep. And i look forward to your replys

  2. Lovely job Skittles, you show a real attention to detail and thoughtfulness. Your understanding of how pathing works is great. Your pathing is not improper as your connections are all set properly. You do have a bit of an excess in terms of node numbers in such a small space however. While a node tells the NPC where they may stand, it's not necessary to cover every inch of the floor, NPCs also have the ability to "jump" paths and maneuver with only a few basic grids.

Since it's technically correct, you may move forward to Lesson #3 without changing it, but in future homes you may want to reduce the number of paths as Oblivion is not a fan of excess. :(

Nice use of scaling statics, I've done the dollhouse thing a few times, it's quite a nice effect! Well done!

As for pots, under Misc Items you can find planters like MiddleClassPlanter01, these have flowers in them and player can move them. If you want to place static plants from Flora you need a static pot so that it can't be moved (since the flora can't be moved). The developers use RFDBowl01, it's a static pot used in ruined forts, they usually add something like ruined fort trash piles to the pot to look like potting soil. I also like to scale down KvCourtPlanter02 since it already has grass inside, it's a nice planter for flora at various sizes. One of these would be a nice option for you! Good luck!

Interesting  I see how the whole jump thing would make sense, I'll take note and probably fix the pathgrid when im not in your classes :( Along with the Plant Ideas thank you so much.

Thank you so much for the encouregement and Positive feedback it makes me so happy :nope: Ill move on to class #3 tomorrow.

  3. ScreenShot15.jpg

I tried to supply with food you'd find on a farm, also considered adding mutton but the meat looked to raw to put in front of somebody eating it.

    ScreenShot16.jpg

Bookshelf with all the City Guides, and my second container for the Extra.

    ScreenShot22.jpg

Supplied the Jewelry box with Items that were probably handed down from grandparents or gave to him as payment for his farm stuffs.

    ScreenShot17.jpg

Proud what I did here, I shrunk down some statues as decoration and a House which now looks like a Antique doll house

    ScreenShot18.jpg

Added the door as for the request on the Extra, and another Painting because that hallway looked a bit to plain

    ScreenShot19.jpg

Next days pair of work clothes and his Table is filled with alchemy equipment (Also moved that candle to the other side of the table )

    ScreenShot20.jpg

The First chest I was instructed to make

    ScreenShot23.jpg

    And it's content

    Grid.png

The Pathgrid,(Not sure how I did) but I have some questions here. as of my understanding where ever a Grid marker is (red triangle) the Npc is able to stop, but does not have to stop. Is that correct?

IMO the only thing interior is missing is some Flower Pots with some Flora in them, Possible placed in the window. But i could not find the flower Pot to save my life.

Just wrote down a concept with a broad scope of capabilities involving a quest with the farm and that doll house

  4. Ok pretty Basic stuff, But Since I plan on working in all the classes figure I'll start with this one

    ScreenShot8.jpg

In Retrospect I should of put the candle on the other side of the table, Since you did not specify I chose to go with the lower class bed because I think it fits with the 'Farm' look alot better

One Middle class picture and another dresser.

    ScreenShot9.jpg

I also resized the Rug so it could double as a doormat, So when the farmer comes in his home after a long day of work, he needs not worry about dirty floors.

    ScreenShot10.jpg

One Bookshelf, One cupboard, and a chair by the Lit fireplace

    ScreenShot11.jpg

This is my personal favorite part of the house, the tapestry's just set it off.

    ScreenShot12.jpg

The same goes for this one, Oh and there's that other cupboard

    ScreenShot13.jpg

  5. Basically, I'm just a guy who has a bunch of ideas and I'm learning how to take these ideas and turn them into something enjoyable for people. I've had a long interest in the Elder scrolls series. i've been playing since the horrible load times of Morrowind on the Xbox.(It was my first Rpg) Then i moved onto Oblivion on the 360 where i put 500+ hours into it.

Now that i've gotten a capable PC I've gotten Oblivion as well on the PC, i haven't played much of the actual game on My new Platform, But I have been reading tutorials here and there. Lurking at this place since yesterday and fiddling with the CS. I've learned some basic things, (Cell linking, certain AI functions, Basic Navigation of the CS the cave set pieces, Some landscaping Ect..)

But they're still things I want to learn, that I need to learn in order to bring my ideas to life.( Scripting, Certain AI functions, Modeling, Texturing, How to do this, How to do that) I have a feeling modeling and texturing are gonna be my downfall, while scripting should come naturally, Since I've dwelled int the basics of C++ and Html so I have a basic understanding of some fundamentals.

I was brought here by the Interview on Bethesda's Blog,

And I tend to procrastinate.(Not very proud of that one)

So I hope you enjoyed my Introduction and I Look forward to the creations we may make.
